Mike Dean....useless today. Another stonewall handball not given. Plus numerous crap decisions. How many is that this season? 8 -9? They say that these bad decisions even themselves out over the course of a season but I think we are seriously in debit. Is this because we are a team that doesn't hound the ref in packs when we don't get a decision go our way, a la ManUre today?

Didn't Chris Nicholl score all 4 in a 2 - 2 draw. Not sure if it was when playing for us or not.....getting old and senile and can't remember
-
I was thinking more along the lines that in the FA Cup the team that loses in the Final still goes into Europe if the team that won finished in the Champions League positions in the League..... Not sure, but I don't think that's the case for League Cup. Or has it all changed now.....I'm getting old these days ;o)
-
Actually thinking about it we wouldn't be in Europe would we, wouldn't that go to 7th in League? Ah well, I'd still swap
-
I would swap......if we had our manager/team as it is now we wouldn't be in a relegation scrap for long - we'd comfortably pull away, could even finish up in 9th pos by the end. Plus, we'd have a cup final to go to, PLUS we'd definitely be in Europe next year! Win, win, win. Yes, I'd swap places, but nothing else.

We are not a 'Big' club. Referees do not, as has happened on a number of occasions this season, give us big calls. I'm not saying they do it on purpose, just that we are a side that doesn't generally give the referee any pressure. None of our players seem to 'get in the face' of refs like say Rooney does, and so it's easier for a ref to not give us calls. I think this was what the club is trying to address by complaining about Clattenburg - Poch has referred to this in the past.
-
This. Doesn't matter what he did the rest of the game, he made an extremely poor decision by not giving a free kick (and sending off), which ultimately resulted in not one, but two of our players being stretchered off at the same time. He bottled a big decision against us, which seems to be usual for referees in our games. 'had a good game'.....jeez

Another poor performance from a 'premier League' referee. Should've been a free kick on Gaston, sending off for Brown, and to compound it Lovren badly injured straight after, which wouldn't have happened if the officials had done their jobs properly and given the free kick. Why do I feel it's a conspiracy after the clubs criticism of Clattenburg. Or is it simply a case of really, really bad refereeing week after week after week after week?

Alan Pardew.....no class. Glad we got rid. http://lockerdome.com/footballfunnys/6170046938490177/6262997580524052

Gaston is class. I honestly believe we would create more chances per game with him in the side. He should be starting every game in my opinion.

Markus left us too soon. He would be so proud. I can see his big smile now. Thank you Markus Liebherr, we are forever in your debt.

Kind of agree, but then again, it's the FL's game and they can change their minds and make the rules up as they go along, as they did with us. If the Fish Mongers don't like it or threaten legal action then the FL can threaten to withhold the Golden Share. The FL must know that the Ploppy Support Truss wouldn't play chicken with them on this one and accept any points deduction for next season, just as we did. It looks to me like the FL don't have the balls to do this or the DFCSB's have some kind of hold on them.
-
When we said that it wasn't SFC that was in Administration but SLH, thereby technically getting around the points deduction, didn't the FL tell us to accept the punishment or forego the Golden Share? No reason they couldn't do the same to the Fish Mongers down the road.

I wouldn't be so sure if I were you. Leeds beat a full strength Everton. This match is 2 days after an afternoon match, Leeds are fresher as they played Friday, who knows what the result would be. I would not be surprised if the first team struggled and got beat, and then what? At least with Nige playing the kids he has an excuse for losing. If he played the first team and they did lose, Nige would be out. Maybe that's why he's playing this team?
-
Just think whst the morale would be if we played the first team and they lost........
-
People used to say that about Vinnie Jones, but he did a job for years in the top division. He's the kind of player we could do with right now, and maybe Chaplow could do it, but we don't have anyone else in that mould who could, so why not him?
-
Kelvin should've saved that
-
Reading will murder us. let's just hope Wet Spam keep losing... Right I'm off. Had enough of this rubbish

"Solent said he got booked for the second one so I guess he must have got his willy out. " "Got booked for celebrating the 2nd " "Went mad " Good lad!
-
How did Billy celebrate his goals today, seeing as they were scored against his old club? Was he mutd or did he go mad?
-
"The League will now resume payment of the club’s Basic Award monies which are normally paid on a monthly basis to all Football League clubs." Does this mean they were suspended? If so, why? And if they were, as seems to be indicated by the word 'normally', then what's changed to enable them to release them again now? Typical FL - don't know what the hell they are doing and are making it up as they go along.
-
Colin bleating on about the penalty..ha! Kelv would have saved it anyway...
-
maybe if they looked hard enough they might find more offshore bank accounts Saggy has - Rosie1 to Rosie46 and who knows, could go up into the hundreds?
