Have to say I think Ward-Prowse is one of the most ineffective players I have seen. What exactly does he bring to the team? Fecked if I know. Can someone tell me? He can't cross except from a dead ball, he can't shoot, he can't tackle, he can't play a defense splitting pass (unless it's our defense), he can't really do much of what you'd expect from a professional fotballer. Redmond is the same....runs around a lot being a bit of a nuisance, but that's it..nothing else, no final ball, no end product, no goals. Long is much the same at too.....Jeez, that was so frustrating. Should we get Gallagher back from loan? He really couldn't do any worse.

Shout out for Forster today...very solid and some good saves. VVD immense as normal. Cedric very good after a long lay off. Very pleased with that, a point against the league leaders is nt to be sniffed at. Thought Puel got his tactics spot on.....go for Liverpool and I think we would have lost.

Players have always left for more money I guess (apart from MLT), however, have we seen a change at Saints recently? Forster, VVD & JWP signing long contracts , so they must have been offered pretty decent money. Are we now entering an era at Saints where we are at least trying to compete with the bigger boys salary wise? I heard it reported that we offered Koeman £4m pa - there can't be many teams in the EPL offering that kind of salary to their managers. Must be somewhere near the top 6, if not in it. Is that our ambition? To be in top 6 and anything less is failure? Hope so.

Which players or managers have left Saints to go on to have more successful career? I guess going back some time there was Martin Chivers, then more recently Alan Shearer, Mark Wright and Theo Walcott. Maybe you could include Oxlade-Chamberlain, Clyne and Lallana (who seems to be coming good now). Can't think of many others. On the flip side there are those who have left and didn't quite live up to their ambitions - I don't mean financially, but on the pitch - Stevie Williams was brilliant for us but the move to Arsenal just didn't work out. Then there was Kevin Davies and more recently Rickie Lambert, Lovren and arguably Chambers and Schneiderlin. For managers Pochettino is the only one I can think of going on to bigger and better things but those who didn't fare so well include Lawrie Mac, Alan Ball, Nigel Adkins and Glenn Hoddle. These are just a few I'm sure, but who else has left where it has worked out or has not worked out for them?

Disagree. As Souness said on tv, which I agree with, Wanyama kept Kane quiet all game, and that's not easy.

For all those wanting to see youngsters coming through into the first team and expecting them to be more loyal....remind me what has happened in the past to those brought through? Chambers, Lalana, Ox, Sneiderlin, Walcott, Bale (although we had to sell him). If they do well then they are poached by the bigger clubs, and they go. They are no different from players we buy that are also wanted. Don't get me wrong, I would prefer kids to come through and take the league by storm, but therein lies the problem. If they are that good they will go. I'm sure the club would also prefer the kids to come through into the first team as they cost a lot less and when they do come good and do leave, they leave for millions so the club makes a vast profit. But, they need to be good enough for the first team in the first place. Ronald is the one to decide that and if he thinks they aren't then we need to buy players that are. There's no easy answer and that is the dilemma.

Targett out of his depth this match. Not just for the cck up, but has given possession away too many times. Reallt have missed Bertrand. Up front we have been woefully bad. No chances created...nothing. Plus an extremely poor referee, cost us this game.

Mane should start on the bench. Tadic should start on the left. Long should start on the right. Pelle should take penalties. Oh, and it seems without Schneiderlin we are an ordinary side.

Authorities should allow terracing. All clubs could benefit from selling cheaper season/matchday tickets at reduced and more affordable costs for those fans who maybe cant afford to go now, as the capacity would be greater.
