  1. Haha this Wotton seems to get a fair bit of stick.
  2. I don't know how I forgot this one either. Cracking finish from Tudgay in this vid too.
  3. He's a very good player. I know you rate Harding a lot as well. Lambert, Schneiderlin, Lallana and Fonte are the top players in your team. I'd have them in an instant. Not the case with any of the others. Some are weaker, some are about the same. That's my opinion.
  4. Puncheon, Dickson and Barnard are no better than players we have.
  5. 30 goals in 63 Championship starts isn't a bad return. He has a record of roughly a goal every 3 games including sub appearances at Championship level.
  6. Heffernan has scored 20+ goals in this league before.
  7. Spurr had the second highest number of assists in our team last season, he is very comfortable on the ball, and he has a knack of scoring long range shots. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isud_bB1yK0
  8. Since when has Mellor been an average League 1 player?
  9. I totally disagree with heavily weighted. You may have paid money for some of your signings but they're not overly impressive in fairness. You've signed League 1 players this pre-season. Your previous signings were far more impressive and if you had carried on in the same vein I would happily admit you had a better team. Personally at present I don't think there is much in it at all.
  10. Swap your left back for Tommy Spurr and I'd just about agree.
  11. I'm a Wednesday fan and I disagree.
  12. What are these few links? I can think of right back and that's about it. The rest of the steam is well balanced and very strong.
  13. Just as some of your players wouldn't make it into ours.
  14. Who is the weakest player in our starting XI.
  15. Not unless we enter admin.
  16. How is it any different? Ok, we were nearly relegated the first season, but we survived. After getting used to the league, stabilising and almost completely changing the squad we won promotion by the playoffs the following season. We had a far weaker squad and lower wage bill then than we do now. The league is not going to be easy this season (I know this) but we are a far better team and squad than the one that was promoted from here last time.
  17. Don't worry I'm very aware of this.
  18. Thank you. That's how I try to be.
  19. You still went into admin. You deserved your points deduction just as we will if we are forced to do the same. That is the rules. I am not blase about this. I know just how serious this is and what a bad situation it is we are in. What concerns me most is that the club didn't mention a thing up until it was announced in the press. We have (so far successfully) managed to stay out of admin for going on 10 years since our initial relegation from the Premiership. We have fought through it, paid our bills, and suffered for years with mediocre transfer and wage budgets. We haven't spent way outwith our means like Cardiff or Portsmouth. We are in trouble but then again so are many other clubs. We are far from being the first to do this, and we won't be the last.
  20. It will be paid. If it isn't we will enter administration. Just like you did.
  21. It's delaying a payment. Businesses do this all the time. It's not a recommended course of action but in our position we had no choice.
  22. Why is it laughable? It seems a sensible course of action to me if it was on the horizon. We sign good players and give ourselves a better chance of promotion. As long as the money owed to HMRC is paid by 11th August we don't have a problem.
  23. We had a far reduced wage bill to this season and a terrible squad of players. It was obvious we were not going to get promoted after our previous relegation. We took 1 year to stabilise and got promoted the year after.
  24. Thanks for your kind words.
  25. Obviously not. The tax bill will be paid. We have every right to sign players.
