  1. It's further than you think and I should know I have a house approx 350 yards away from the ground! You're probably right though, it will cost less during the day. I only ever get black cabs back from the station at night when I'm ****ed. They add extra on at night. It will be £8-9 though and a lot will depend on traffic. Remember you're heading the right way going out of the train station going to Beighton, whereas going to Hillsborough you have to go round the one way system, past Bramall Lane and up towards the university.
  2. Nothing to do with United, I meant visually. The city centre is good for drinking but Hillsborough is cleaner and greener.
  3. I don't see why you say that? Hillsborough is quite nice. There are plenty of pubs, shops and lots of greenery with the park and pond. It's just a smallish residential area. The city centre is far less attractive.
  4. A Dayrider on the tram is £3.50.
  5. Roughly a tenner. *Edit - I am not a Saints fan

This is true. The best header of a ball at Hillsborough offensively and defensively is Marcus Tudgay and he is only 5'9". He's the best by a long way too.
  7. It's hard to call our lineup. I think it will be something like... GK Nicky Weaver RB Lewis Buxton CB Darren Purse CB Mark Beevers LB Tommy Spurr RM Chris Sedgwick CM Tommy Miller CM Giles Coke LM Gary Teale ST Neil Mellor ST Marcus Tudgay Darren Potter or James O'Connor could also start in the centre of midfield. Daniel Jones could be picked left midfield, or ahead of Spurr at left back. Right midfield without Jermaine Johnson is becoming a bit of a problem for us. Chris Sedgwick is not looking too comfortable. We've tried Miller and Coke there in recent games too, and it's a possibility Tudgay could even go there. Its anyones guess what Irvine will do on Saturday. Up front it will be two of Neil Mellor, Marcus Tudgay, Clinton Morrison and Paul Heffernan.

If it's Le Fondre you're talking about then it's 18 months.

I think that could be a plan!
  10. We are exactly the same! Brentford was 'Top v Bottom' we were always going to get beat. Plymouth hadn't won at home in 6 months, they then beat us. We always manage to **** it up when we shouldn't. It's the Wednesday way! Should make for an interesting game Saturday then. We're missing our most important attacking player in Jermaine Johnson but he has been out for a while. I agree, I think it will be a tight game and I don't see either side winning comfortably. Neither of us need a draw, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the final outcome.

    That sounds all too familiar.
  12. Remarkably similar.
  13. It is definitely a good time to be playing us. An early goal for you, or a poor start from us and the fans will be on Irvine's back. Some of the morons in our support obviously can't figure out where the problems in our club are coming from. We're not playing well, confidence is low, and the off field shenanigans are clearly affecting the players.
  14. That video is priceless! Bumbling her way through the interview and the line "our next door neighbours are foreign countries" is fantastic. The thought of someone like Palin being President and the most powerful individual in the world truly terrifies me.
  15. A pub in Barnsley. It was love at first sight. She was the only lass that didn't have webbed feet, no teeth, six fingers and a tracksuit on.
  16. What do you think will it be? Who are the players we should look out for? I think there will be big changes for us on Saturday. 3 losses on the trot and Irvine is starting to feel the pressure. We need a result and I am certain we will be going for it this weekend.

Rotherham don't need to sell and they won't unless they get a big offer. You will have to spend £2m+ if you want to sign him.
  18. You are third favourites on most sites now. Huddersfield seem to be the bookies choice now.
  19. Of course not
  20. Looks like they are heading for 2 relegations in a row! That should keep you boys and girls happy.
  21. There aren't many things that irritate me but this certainly has. He is a bigot, a former nazi, belonging to a bigoted institution, and I think it's a bloody disgrace that we the taxpayers are footing the bill for his visit. It could also be argued that his church is just as guilty of 'corrupting children' and that his 'book' is also a made-up story. Many people share this opinion. It amazes me that in this day and age that so many people still believe in their claptrap.
  22. Cracking result last night for them

  25. We have the multi-ball system too. It helps with our players, but it doesn't help when opposition keepers take an age to take goal kicks, or defenders take throw-ins! The amount of 'injuries' the Carlisle players had yesterday was unbelievable. Blatant cheating and we didn't get nearly enough added on time at the end. Oh well! How have the opposition teams been for you this season with time-wasting?
