There is nothing to suggest the Echo reporters have not been banned as well, he could have been sat in the stand with the normals, he could have got a freelance journalist to do a report for him or could have used another one of Newsquests publications to get him in. And no, the training ground upgrades to be honest were hardly ground-breaking news, and not news that warrant more than a 30 second conversation in pub about. It really doesn't warrant the petty and childish actions that have happened since.

I don't want NC out by all accounts. He has let the 'fame' of being a football club chairman go to his head, and he needs to wind his neck in. If he can't wind his neck in then yes, I won't lose any sleep if he f*cks off... especially as I don't subscribe to the thought that Liebherr will p1ss money down the drain and f*ck off too if Cortese goes.
-
I think it is pretty damn obvious to anyone who doesn't have a blinded love for certain people at the club that The Echo have been banned again this season, I don't think there is any doubt about that. The debate I guess is whether you think the club are justified in banning the Echo again, or whether you think it is a petty and childish act by the club.
-
It was a thread confirming the Echo have been banned, whether you see that is good or bad is up for debate, and after all Alpine, that's what a forum is for, isn't it?
-
It was a friendly so 'licenses' are irrelevent. And maybe the licence/accreditation was issued to other photographers on the condition none of their prints were sold on to the Echo. I would say that's a realistic assumption to make based on Cortese's previous.
-
Be realistic if you want to simply add balance. The club have no photo's of the match in their report, only photos of friendly away games.
-
I don't think the issue is it being removed, the issue is it's timing ( weeks after his widows death and during out 125th year celebrations ) and the fact the club have not given any explanation for its removal.
-
That is exactly what I will do once MK Dons away comes along again.
-
EVERYONE? So you are speaking on behalf of EVERYONE are you? Or could it be alot of Saints fans, especially the older generation, don't have access to computers or are not computer literate and rely on the Echo for Saints news etc.
-
That's a well thought, constructive and mature post. Well done you.
-
OK Well I asked the club why it had been removed and was told I would recieve a reply from "the club spokesman" in good time. I will let you know, when I know, which will probably be in 2032

Don't blame you to be honest. You can't have an opinion which doesn't subscribe to the happy family that is SFC at the moment, let alone post and information you may have heard without people jumping on to discredit it or just attack you. I am not sure if some people are jealous that others have access to information from inside SFC, or they are scared Cortese will walk away and take Liebherr with him, or something else... but there is a real 'protection team' around Cortese which consists of about a dozen or so posters, who will jump on any post/thread which might show their leader in a bad light. The truth will come out in the end and I hope that the people who have insulted other posters and rubbished their 'rumours' will be man/woman enough to put their hands up and say "sorry, you were right". I won't hold my breath though.
-
Nick doesn't work for them, he is just their rent-a-quote.
-
I would suggest it most definately is true, shown by the fact they have no match photos in the 'report' today, just photos from away pre-season games.
-
So basically what you are suggesting is that anyone who has a bad word to say about the club will be banned?

Where's the best place to sell a car...
Dave Benson Phillips replied to Dave Benson Phillips's topic in Motoring Forum
It's probably only worth a couple of hundred quid at most to be fair, eBay does sound the best option. I have gone and bought exactly the same car ( although newer and working! ) so I intend on taking some of the 'nicer' bits off as Spares or replacements. -
I am certain that Cortese wanted rid of him. Speaking to a few people and seeing some of the posts of some of the more 'informed' posters on here as well confirms to me that the 'silence' at the end of last season was a deliberate opinion survey, one which didn't get the results that NC would have liked.
-
Can you point to some 'hijacked' threads? I haven't noticed any.
-
I never get this whole 'recycled news' bit. It's not recycled for the people whom rely on the Echo publication for their Saints news, is it? It might seem to people like you and others as recycled, as you would have already read the story somewhere on the internet, but to the people who don't use the internet, it's not recycled, simply passing on a news story into print. And you say inaccurate, what about when the Echo get it right? Like Dickson signing?
-
I would suggest the Echo are being very fair and acting in a professional and adult manner. The Echo 'could' print a whole host of negative stories if they wanted to... they are aware of the same things which have been posted on here by various people. I suspect that if the ban is not lifted by the first game of the season then the gloves will come off and The Echo will not feel obliged to protect Cortese and SFC.
-
The reason is nothing more than the club want to control as much of the public content of the club as possible. Not because they want to keep fans informed as much as possible, but because they want to limit the amount of communication with supporters to the bare minimum. In my opinion, of course.
-
I would suggest they are holding back in the hope of getting their accreditation to allow them into the ground for the start of the season. If they are still not allowed in for the Plymouth game then you might see some of the 'stories' and 'rumour' posted on here in their publication.
-
Err... not dragging up anything. People have been questioning whether the club will still be banned. The confirmation is there that they have been, so it's a relevent topic. If it doesn't interest you then why not f*ck off to one that does?
-
ONCE they printed a story 24 hours earlier than requested to, even though Radio Solent had already ran the story and it was common knowledge on here as well as available in the public domain. I don't think that warrants being banned from all things SFC. Some of you seem to think the Echo relies on SFC to sell newspapers. If this is the case, it will cost people in the community their jobs in the long-run. But I suppose that's alright though isn't it.

I didn't even mention the chairmans name. It is childish and vindictive. No doubts about that.
