  1. Why do D*lldays and NickG spend so much of their time sticking up for Cortese?
  2. Chef Ramsey is the second most famous Romsonian after me. FACT
  3. Did Cortese take the project to Liebherr. Or was it Andrew Oldknow who too the project to Liebherr? I will leave you with that thought...
  4. I make a one line comment, stating that if we get less than 25,000 then it will be poor, very poor in my opinion, especially as the club called for the game to be postponed last week... and you turn it into a point scoring rant, simply because it is me that is posting. Firstly, I won't be proved wrong about anything, I said if we get less than 25,000 it will be a poor show, I haven't estimated or speculated on what the attendance will be, and I stated we already knew we had fickle fans. So what exactly is it that you are creaming yourself over the possibility of proving me wrong? And what exactly have I been massively wrong about? Being 3,000 out on my estimation of season ticket sales? Is that massive? What else? The only people that are ruining this forum are people like you jumping down the throats of anyone who doesn't have a rose-tinted opinion on Saints. Here is a thought for you... if you didn't bother writing your post ( or at least involving me in it ) then I wouldn't be writing this reply, would I? As you would say ( rather immaturely ) - Simples.
  5. I try to tell everyone that, but nobody seems to believe me.
  6. Shut up. People are entitled to form their own opinion on the man rather than some no-mark from Austria who hasn't been affected by any of the decisions that Cortese has made.
  7. I find it amusing that a thread is alive, with the owner of the website contributing to it, then one of the appointed moderators decide to lock it. Inconsistancy at its best!
  8. Oh look, here is someone in Canada telling me how to speak English. Haaaaaahahahahahahaha For your information, it's slang for blood. Not sure if you knew that?
  9. It was a domestic. None of our business, she can be a right mardy cow though so I am not surprised that he lost his temper to be fair.
  10. Well I seemed to know alot about the training ground development not being completed due to Cortese falling out with the contractors months ago... which I posted on here (only to get shot down ), didn't I? Guess what? Staplewood is still a building site when it was scheduled to be completed by now. Funny that...
  11. We might have got 2 points per game, Wouldn't you say we should have got on average 2 points a game? Do you class that as a 'success' or 'what is expected' . Even in terms of revenue, we are a top 8 Championship team... seeing 2 points a game in League 1 as a success in my opinion is not very ambitious... Success last season would have been a play-off place regardless of the -10. Wembley was nice... but again, we were one of the red hot favourites for the cup, I certainly won't be telling my grandkids about the day we 'beat Carlisle United' - it was nice, but again, keep your feet on the ground. Good run in the Cups, granted. But the draws were kind to us, apart from a decent display against Ipswich, I don't see much to get excited about. Damn me being realistic and ambitious at the same time eh?
  12. I would advise anyone thinking of hitting a woman to do it in an area which doesn't mark. Hit her square on the temple, should be enough to knock her out without leaving any markings. Either that or kidney punches are equally as effective.
  13. I haven't read the thread yet, but I trust I am mentioned?
  14. NickG The team has proved the square root of fook all so far, so I am not sure what exactly you are crowing on about. And it says it all the fact you will claim now he is doing well but won't allow people to say he is not doing well until the end of the season. A good insight into your blind love of the man.
  15. And I have a couple of friends/family who have had first hand dealings with Cortese - shock horror they actually think he is stuck in the dark ages and his arrogance and his inexperience of UK business etiquette is clear to see.
  16. To be fair, she slapped him hard enough to leave a mark. Is it his fault that he punches harder than she does? Or is it her fault for picking a fight on someone who is tougher than her? If it was a gobby yoof who got punched you would say " well if he is gonna try and act all hard then he has to face the consequences when he comes unstuck " Why isn't it the same rule for women?
  17. Errrr this forum does not represent the general fans views whatsoever. Our support is retarded but this forum represents the extreme retardedness.
  18. Well there you go, football is a funny old game eh? Maybe different generations see it differently? Or maybe different types of fans see things differently. I have Carlisle supporting family who all think he is a **** based on what they have read on League 1 forums/press and national media. One thing I never get is the claim that the club has been turned round. Here is another bit of devils advocate for you. We are in League 1. We had what I would class as an 'acceptable' season last season, we done exactly what I would have expected a club our size to do. The training ground developments have stalled, so we can't praise them until complete. We have had a poor pre-season and poor first league game this season. We spent within our means ( in my opinion ) on the transfer front and have slashed our squad down so the wage bill at the start of this season is probably similar/less as what it was when they took over. And lastly, let's not forget, we are a lower half Premiership club in every sense of the word apart from League placings... we should be playing well in this League. Now I would say 'they have turned this club round' if say we had just missed out on relegation when they took over and they took us from near the bottom to near the top, but what exactly have you got to compare it to, to suggest we are better off on the pitch?
  19. ... because in your rose-tinted world, everyone in your friendship circle ( a small one I suspect ) , up your local pub , at your place of work and people you come into contact with all think Cortese is doing an amazing job and he is a friendly Italian chappy then? No... I didn't think so.
  20. Exactly my point I added on. Every single person I know think he is a complete c*ck, but for the majority of people I have spoken to, supporting Saints goes no further than 90 minutes on the weekend, scanning the local papers and talking about it up the pub, so although they think he is a ****, they are not too bothered about him being chairman or not. I don't think many people away from this forum think he is a nice bloke / good businessman.
  21. Away from this forum I cannot recall meeting a single person who has said to me " what a great bloke that Cortese is and what a good job he is doing " Pretty much every single person I have spoken to in the last couple of months thinks Cortese is an arrogant c*ck ( which fits in with the booing at Wembley ). This doesn't bother alot of people, it does bother some, but as he keeps making stupid decisions, the people who are vocally p!ssed off with him will increase..
  22. No. I refrained from getting a Season Ticket on principle, it just happened that it actually works out cheaper for me to not have one due to the amount of spares/corporates I get offered each season. HOWEVER I bought a ticket for this game as I see it as a memorial to Marcus Liebherr, the man who potentially saved our club.
  23. Anything less that 25,000 shows what a fickle bunch of fans we have. But then again, we already knew that.
  24. No, I think she had ran out the house and up the road, the pictures are of the claret on the laminate floors and walls... made a right mess, they had only just decorated as well.
