As abovbe, I want to see Orsic, Tall Pall and Kamaldeen in order to give them a chance to get some goals and fill some confidence. We can keep flogging Djenepo, Walcott and Adam Armstrong all we like, but we know were not going to get any more than we have from them. Reality is, Tall Pall and Kamaldeen probably nowhere near involved, given recent restriction of minutes.

That is certainly not normal. That is harrowing.

That makes for a harrowing read, but sounds about right. As many have said, it's hard to think of many saves the lad has made, which considering how many we've conceded is quite the achievement. He'll be well aware... I can't believe for a second that it isn't affecting him. Considering Rasmus is a data freak, you'd think he'd be all over this.

I think the point some are trying to make is keepers at this age tend to be getting experience at a lower level. Even The Championship would be a big enough ask of a keeper at his age. Championship No.1's this year... Wilson (Coventry) - 30 Foderingham (Sheff Utd) - 30 Muric (Burnley) - 24 Horvath (Luton) - 27 Woodman (Preston) - 25 Bachmann (Watford) - 28 Allsop (Cardiff) - 30 Kaminski (Blackburn) - 30 Johansson (Rotherham) - 24 Patterson (Sunderland) - 22 (Classy) Palmer (West Brom) - 26 Ruddy (Birmingham) - 36 Long (Millwall) - 29 Ingram (Hull) - 29 Steffen (Middlesbrough) - 27 Dieng (QPR) - 28 Amos (Wigan) - 32 Nicholls (Huddersfield) - 30 Lumley (Reading) - 28 Krul (Norwich) - 34 / Gunn (Norwich) - 27 Benda (Swansea) - 24 Maxwell (Blackpool) - 32 O'Leary (Bristol City) - 26 Palmer (WBA) - 26 He'd still be a year behind even the youngest No.1 there and he (Patterson) is an exception to the rule. That said, David De Gea was only 20 year old when he joined United, had a pretty torid first season but never looked back after that.

Whitey you don’t half chat some. Firpo fluffed the finish… it was woeful. Baz and Bednarek being in line had nothing to do with it. If he used his head he would’ve gone far post, as it was a free hit. Stop talking such pony. It’s too funny.
-
It’s not a gaping hole at the near post. It’s the standard gap which is reachable with a standard dive. Advantage is with the attacker in that position, of course, but you give yourself a chance. If Firpo had half a finishing brain he would’ve rolled the ball into the far corner and then Baz really would’ve looked silly and you might actually understand just how badly positioned he was. You don’t stand on one post so it’s covered and leave the other wide open, FFS.
-
With a clear sight he should be getting down quicker and it was nowhere near the corner, so likely would’ve been a fairly routine stop. Fact is, he wasn’t where any keeper, at any level, should be and it’s a recurring theme. It had cost us goals already, did so again and will continue to do so. I can’t for a second believe their Sparkes isn’t pulling his hair out over these.
-
It isn't central... It's one step right. It's where every other keeper in the league would be.
-
I've been waiting for you to pop up. Yet again... Incorrect. He'd have had better sight of the ball from the correct position and knew where it had gone. (There is no defending this action)

You’re on the thread of a subject I posted about and told me to give it a rest. If you don’t want to read what I post, scroll on by. 👍🏻 I know it should never have got that far. It should never have reached Bednarek. But it did and Bazunu made another hash of his positioning, which is a running theme. I’m not singling him out as a scapegoat. I genuinely feel sorry for the guy. Lamb to the slaughter.
-
Obviously not, as everyone is blaming Bednarek on account of him blocking Bazunu... Which wasn't Bednarek's issue. I've pointed out a few instances of the same thing on the subject at hand. Is this not what a forum is for? Prick.
-
For context here, a very rough sketch of where Bazunu should be. Keepers have four markers... Post (ball is on byline INSIDE his box) Two-Step Left/Right (ball inside outer periphery of his box) One-Step Left/Right (ball left/right of centre on edge or inside edge of his box or outside of box left/right towards corner flag) Central (default) In any position you are on your toes ready to move to next position. Never get caught flat footed when needing to position. As the ball was struck, he was pretty much on his post (should've been one step right (from centre)) and flat-footed. He was two positions out from where he should be and flat-footed. Below is where he takes up the position when Harrison receives the ball (almost) on the byline. This is okay but as soon as the ball is played back into the box is where he should step back... But he doesn't move an inch from Harrison playing the ball back to Firpo taking the shot. It's criminal goalkeeping. It would've been the easiest finish of his life in the gaping far corner, if he was any use. Instead he fluffed it and Bednarek chose to watch it whilst Bazunu had blinded himself.

He was unsighted because, yet a-fucking-gain, he was glued to his near post.

Bazunu is in the wrong position (again) but it shouldn't even reach him. The build up to it is just as bad but my god... It's legit harder not to get a foot on it than it is to allow it past him. Wanker. -

I've watched the replay over and over and over again and for the fucking life of me... Jan fucking Bednarek... Somebody please try and justify making yourself as narrow as you can to ALLOW a shot on fucking goal. The man is a disgrace. -
I like this. Huge vote of confidence for him ahead of tomorrow and puts the players straight on where he stands. Imagine this wouldn’t have been done without the players making it abundantly clear they want him in. Whatever division we’re in next year, so long as we go out swinging, I’d like to see him given a good chance at it.
-
Indeed. More annoyed as there was no warning from Saints side prior to it selling out. Obviously a balls up as they rectified it thereafter. Not ideal for my young boy (his first away day) but we’ll go nonetheless.

Am I right in thinking if United proceed tonight our fixture at Old Trafford will be moved to Sunday 12th March…?

There are Saints fans STILL moaning about the subs Selles made. The level of intelligence in people really does continue to astound me. "If one or two of our lucky blocks had gone in, we'd be slating his subs" Well... If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. FFS. How could anyone watch that and not see our legs had completely gone up top?

JWP managed to give a pretty damning verdict on NJ, without actually saying too much. ”Ruben has come in and really steadied the ship. He has given us calmness, a bit of direction, bit of structure and just… belief.” Then he refers to Ralph’s reign and returning to how they played under him (before it went wrong). Do think his reference to “front-footed and aggressive” may indeed have been intentional. Suggests things really were as dire, if not worse, than the murmurs coming out from Staplewood.

Can’t fathom how the club took that allocation. We took 2,500 there in Championship FFS. Surely a question for summer Fans Forum, as this isn’t the first time we’ve taken minimum allocation and sold it out in a blink. -
God knows. If they've gone against what he'd asked them to do, I'm sure it wouldn't have gone down well, despite playing well. Egotistical maniac, at the end of the day. Something going amiss at HT would explain the complete meltdown, though.
-
Interesting comments from Jacob Tanswell on the Total Saints Podcast… ”the last week (or post Brentford with NJ) at Staplewood was a disaster. Everyone (staff) sidelined bar NJ, Cohen and Sheehan. Players took it upon themselves to do their own thing in first half against Wolverhampton.” Imagine this wouldn’t have gone down well, despite us playing out of our skin, and would explain why we completely fell apart after half time.
