If I started up a Twitter account as Wayne Rooney and tweeted "Just going to have talks with Alan Pardew" would you believe that? How do you know that really is Freddy Adu? it only goes back to january... Jan 13th - Jon Otsemobor is the only one I can find. He also posted about Jelle Van Damme going to Wolves on the 14th May...?

those writing off Rocket on 606... He said that there was a striker who played in the premier League last year, played over 40 times for his country and at a world cup. 3 weeks later we find out we have signed David Connolly. He also informed us of Jaidi. He was also slated when he said that Kenwyne Jones would be going to Sunderland for a fee + Stern John. There have been others aswell... He works in some form of media, and obviously being in the media there are times he is wrong. But to write off what he says when he has got some big signings right in the past...? There clearly is some truth in this. He fits the bill for the "Big Signing" that will coincide with the release of ST sales and he fits perfectly into what seems to be pards vision of an attacking 4-5-1 with Davis Calderon??? Fonte Jaidi Harding Punch Spiderman Hammond Lalla Adu Lambert Spend 5 minutes on YouTube looking at Adu's obvious ability and just picture him at SMS running at Rochdale's back 4. I have no doubt that he would run riot in this league. I'm not saying that Rocket is 100%, I'm not saying we ARE going to sign Adu, but the fact that both Portuguese AND the U.S Press are reporting on this, there has to be some truth in it.

He isn't a Striker. He is a midfielder... Who can play as a forward.

How come my thread of this was closed yesterday? I find it amusing how there are people on here saying they would like us to sign Papa Waigo permanantly but right Freddy Adu off because he "failed to live upto the hype." guys who are capable of this... - At the age of just 16, don't lose that abilty down a drainpipe all of a sudden. He was hyped at an incredibly young age and it affected him. Benfica are trying to gently get him back to his best. If they see us a way to get him there, I certainly ain't gonna grumble just because he "failed" to be what he was "hyped" to be. Papa Waigo or Freddy Adu... LOL.

Been a tad quiet on the gigs front for me last 2 years since my little girl was born. Used to do a few gigs a week either watching some big names or whatever tripe was down the Joiners (must say have found some gems by just popping down there on random nights). I did catch Biffy Clyro down P*mpey few weeks back, they were well on form. Not a gig as such but I also went to see Derran Brown at Wimbledon Theatre couple of weeks back... I urge anybody to go see him live because he really is a class act on stage.

"Southampton are set to complete a deal to bring Freddy Adu to England after agreeing a fee with parent club Benfica. Adu, 20, is awaiting to complete a medical and a Work Permit in order to seal a sensational move. It is thought Southampton are in negociations to pay compensation to Greek Football Club, Aris Thessaloniki, where Adu signed an 18 month loan deal in January. If an agreement is reached, Adu who previously had trials with Manchester United, can complete a move." This was posted by a guy on BBC 606 who also told us weeks, sometimes months, about the likes of Jaidi, Connolly and countless others. He works in the press somewhere and is, as far as i'm concerned, a pretty reliable source as there always turns out to be some truth in what he says. We were linked with Adu back in January and Maybe Pards has been working on the deal since then. I still however really struggle to picture Freddy Adu lining up in a Saints shirt on a cold, wet December Tuesday night at Spotlands. He has sort of lost his way in the past few years but a couple of years ago was showing immense talent. Thoughts?

The boredom relieving Saints Summer Quiz.

He did have to sit right at the bottom of the Northam, as he truly was too large to get even a few steps up. He also took up 2 Seats, which I think is why he would obtain a "Free" ST each year as he would pay for the other one. This is my first year of being a STH and was suprised to see Steve stood only a few rows down from me on a number of occasions this year. Has lost alot of weight, but still on the large side. The last time I saw him there was ages ago... Stockport I think and they were giving him some right stick across the barrier. Off topic I know... my bad. -
What made you a football fan?
saintscottofthenortham replied to SuperMikey's topic in General Sports
My old man was desperate to get me into footy... It was either on the box or he was taking me down Riverside Park to try and get me playing it but at around aged 5/6 I was having none of it. That was until one night when I did watch the footy on the Box... And my golly was that it from then on. It was Norwich at home to.............. Forest I think but I aint sure on that, it was 0-0 anyhow but how it remained a stalemate I will never know. This was back around 1994 and I'll never forget the (then) young Andy Marshall (Norwich Keeper) who was out of this world. I only remember him because it was he who inspired me to be a keeper. Im probably one of a very few kids who has been converted to a footy fan via a stalemate! Great game though and if anyone can suss out what game im on about do let me know because it is bugging me! -

Yes Plausable... But steer clear of that site and especially the comments because 90% of the commenter's are off their nuts on a substance I can only dream of consuming. They were the Anti-Pardew clan and even recently, alot of them were still saying that failing to reach the playoffs was not acceptable...? And they call it a forum. Drives me mad them lot. -

They were on about changing it all to have Season Ticket Cards that we can buy our Chicken Balti Pies and Pint of our new Lager (Carling I think it's to be) straight on the card. If this is what they are doing, it will take a bit of time. As long as I can renew before the season kicks off, I really ain't fussed.

Forest away 09/10. With things being about as bad as they could get over 3,000 Saints fans made the city ground rock, leaving me with the biggest goosebumps I have ever had appear a right lump in my throat as I had never been so proud to be a Saint.

I'll second that sparky, actually... Performance wise I can't pick between Uddersfailed and Swindon. Both games really were a shambles. Never forget 3,500 saints fans jumping up and down shouting "Sub, Sub, Sub, Sub!" because it really really just was not working. But then after a few subs, it still didn't work and both are away trips I try very hard to forget.
