  1. Hmmmm... Dickson for Harding! Sounded like he had a pretty shocking half tbh.
  2. This is what is worrying me... Usually about as biased as they come, yet we still sound utter tripe.
  3. "THE BOO'S ARE BACK IN TOWN, THE BOO'S ARE BACK ARE TOWN!" I am completely and utterly happy with my decision to stay firmly at home tonight. I am also very ****ed off that this, lets face it, predictable performance, is being allowed to happen. Sounds as if exactly zilch has changed since saturday!
  4. Precisely why I wasn't going to pay £16 for tonight.
  5. This is why I wasn't prepared to pay £16.
  6. I'm embarressed for them.
  7. Although not a pub, I worked at a hotel near Croydon called Selsdon Park. It has a wing to it that was built in Tudor times, it remains pretty much original and is said to be haunted by 'The Grey Lady'. Although I never did get to meet her, I can honestly say it was a sheeeeite scary place with all sorts of weird and wonderful stories coming from that part of the building. I hope you enjoy your visit, and hope you have a story or two to tell on your return... But do keep your goings on in the bogs to yourself please!
  8. Saw them at Reading in 2005. An extremely good live band and really want to see them again now I'v got their new album.
  9. Contractual work of this size would work in phases. The job would be broken down into sections, once the contractor can show that a phase is complete to a relative standard then that phase would be invoiced for. Problems often occur when a contractor invoices for a completed phase then the Client (SFC) are unhappy about an aspect of the build.
  10. Away fan friendly.
  11. Hang on a sec there mate... These are games that I think alot of us just can't warrant spending £15, £16, £18 on! I went to this round last year, as I did all the JPT apart from Lego FC away. Just because I am not going to a game that I personally cannot get enthused about, so cannot warrant the money for ticket, plus the train, plus a a few beers... That makes me a sh1t fan? Wake up.
  12. Sorry fergie but I am happy with just having a season ticket and going to 10 away games a season. You are my hero.
  13. I personally couldn't give a rats bum to this game. I couldn't have my season ticket as I wasn't exited enough to go get my ticket in the first few days of them being on sale, so the part timers have filled out the northam stand with there kids aswell, which will make the atmosphere even worse than Saturday. Plus, I have a yoghurt in the fridge that goes out of date tonight, that is far more important than spending £15 odd to watch Bornmoof in a cup I couldn't care less about. Derby my anus.
  14. As typo's go... That's a great one. I would comment on the Fred, but I think enough has been said on the countless others already. Pardew Out, Cortese Out. Lowe in, Burley in!
  15. kolbasti, kolbasti, kolbasti, kolbasti... I think I'll remember that. Thanks for the advice. Yours, SSOTN
  16. I tried to sway my brother a fair few years ago, so he could understand what football really is about. It dissapoints me that so many people now see their faith being half heartedly thrown at a club so far from home. I don't see the point... Why follow anclub just because they win? I just cannot understand it and never will. My 2 year old girl is already walking round the house kissing anything with a saints badge on it, so at least she is on the right path when it comes to morals and football!
  17. I have a deep cut, venomous hatred towards 'Glory Hunters'. Unfortunatly, I have a glory hunting family and I feel I was brought up to follow the trend. My old man was born in a 3 bedroom house in Bitterne Park. My Mum was born in a 3 bedroom house in Millbrook. My brother (15) was born at Princess Anne, as was myself in 1987. Now, My old man made the sickening decision to follow a club that had no relevance to himself, his birth place or family... Man Utd. This then extended to my Mum (even though she used to pay her shillings worth to watch the Saints at the dell during her younger years). Unfortunatly for me, they tried to extend this upon myself. It bugs me, that all my Baby/Toddler/Kiddy photo's are of me in the Man-ure shirt. All this took place much to the displeasure of my Uncle. A Saint. He would regularly take me down Staplewood as a kid, to watch the reserves and when he could afford it, get me down the Dell. In the end, I had to make a decision... Do I be a plastic Fantastic and watch "My" team on Sky for the rest of my days, or do I be a proper football fan and SUPPORT the club who respresent the city of my birth, my life and my home? For me, it was a no brainer and promtly declared myself a fully fledged Saint. I can't however, help but think I have missed out a part of childhood. My friends talk of week in, week out down The Dell, stood on Milk Crates... The thick smell of cigar smoke, looking around at angry men but being safe in the knowledge that there with you. All this whilst I was at home with my old man trying to get me passionate over seeing Teletext change to 'NORWICH 0-1 MAN UTD'. It is a decision that I can now look back on and be thankful that i saw sense. I watched my brother at my mums yesterday, watching the Community Shield on sky... how he gave a half hearted, meaningless cheer as Valencia put United 1-0 up. I coudn't help but feel sorry for him. I have tried and tried to explain to him my feelings, telling him that Win, Lose or Draw there is nothing better than standing shoulder to shoulder with thousands of your own. Jumping up and down and grabbing each and every one of your 2,500 own around you as Michael Svensson smashes home at Loftus Road in the 92nd minute (the moment I realised I had made the ultimatly right decision) to the moments you and 3,000 of your own sing "Southampton til I die" as we watch us limp into League One at The City Ground. I cant help but think that some plastic man Utd sat in his mums living room in Alderney, watching Man Utd v Man City on sky, as Michael Owen whipped home the 96th minute winner, could have felt anywhere near the passion i posses for what is my other Love, Southampton Football Club. I hope this makes sense, I'm in a rush. SSOTN.
  18. This being why I was, and still very much am, seriously peeved about Saturday. When we get it down and keep possesion, we grow in confidence and look like one hell of an outfit. Then Jaidi gets the ball and hoofs it and we ending up watching 22 men play oversized tennis for half hour, until someone has the balls to keep hold of the ball for longer than 3 seconds.
  19. Did I just see a tumbleweed roll on by?
  20. I'm going to really miss the weekly 2 page spread in The Sun on SFC. That was a fantastic piece of media advertisement for our club and without that we won't get barely any press. Oh wait... We only get the same as every other club outside the prem? If nothing had happened with the press, the Match report would merely have been ........Southampton 0-1 Plymouth............... Summerfield (47) Att: 21,000 Who gives a bloody monkeys!? The press are only interested when they can print something negative, hence why this has turned up!
  21. Since when has anyone liked the press?
  22. Hopefully post 764 is a result for you...
  23. When route one to 5'10 and 5'9 forwards is Plan A... I would like to think that Plan B would be somewhat ruddy noticeable.
  24. We had a good season, granted. But it could, maybe should have been a bit better. But we couldn't play on bad pitches. This.
