I seem to recall West Ham fans saying something about AP's ego. When things were going well and he was well respected he started getting a bit above himself. The qoute I remember was a hammer saying that AP insisted on being called "God", but that just seems a bit too far fetched.

When AP was appointed, we were all made aware that he would be judged after 18 months. As we have yet to reach that said period, and we havn't done too bad as of yet, I can only hope that they have someone they feel far more suits there ambitions is available. However, I feel this is more in hope than realistic.

This is what I am hoping. I would like to think that Cortese isn't such a numpty to sack the gaffer, and not have a good idea who he is bringing in, giving that the season is well and truly underway. My main worry is, who he has in mind may well be one almighty step backwards, unless he somehow pulls off one hell of a coup.

I think it's fair to say that any other appointment of any "Available" manager, other than MO'N, would lead to a wholehearted feeling of great underwhelment. There are many names being mentioned, that scare the life out of me to think they could be AP's replacement. Add to that the unfortunate truth that how Cortese now looks to any potential new manager, who wants to take charge of a club that has possibly the most expectant fans outside of the top 4 clubs in the country and an Executive Chairman who is fast making himself known nationally as English Footballs Hitler - Thats not my personal view, just one that is very much being painted of him.

Brizzle 2-4 Saints. I can't help but see a goal fest. Kuffour will cause us problems, Rickie will be bang up for it again, and Barnard is literally doing everything but score.
