  1. I should have mentioned Arcade Fire, Saw them at Reading 05' in the Radio 1/NME Tent, I was off my nut on a wild concoction of ingredients, they were out of this world. They were on set for about 40 minutes, and I remember there being a giant bear stood motionless at the back of the set, then right at the end this 7ft+ Bear started going nuts on stage, I looked at my mate and said to him "Pal, I'm seeing that Giant bear at the back dancing round like a fruitcake..." to which he replied "It has been for about half hour mate." I wish I had appreciated AF a bit more at the time because it's very rare they are over here and I was unable to make Reading this year as we have just had a newborn. Can't stop listening to 'The Suburbs'. A top, top, totally under rated band.
  2. Wow. I even put the winky thing in and still we have a spat dummy.
  3. Very sorry to hear of your loss Daren. I can only offer my deepest sympathy and echo some of the fantastic posts that have come before me. Once a Saint, Always a Saint. R.I.P Mrs Wheeler.
  4. One of my best gigs would have to be these at Bournemouth Old Fire Station in 2005. Was pure F*cking mayhem. There were two great big Speakers, one on top of the other, Billy climbed up em', about half way through the gig, rocking away like he does, as he went to jump into the crowd, the top speaker gave way and slipped from under him, he crashed down pretty badly, but just got back up and carried on, sending us, already frenzied fans, into an even bigger frenzy. Turned out he had broken a few ribs... fair bloody play to him. Great band who i really enjoyed watching over them few years. I couldn't put a pin on best gig, but here are what I consider my "Best Gigs"; Prodigy @ The BIC (2005???) - Pure insanity... Foo Fighters @ Reading 2005 - Crowd surfing to 'Resolve' with a perfectly pink sky, with a couple hundred quid falling out of my pocket and losing one of me trainers but just not giving a monkeys... Indafels @ The Joiners (2006???) - Smashed it. A very, very OVER sold out Joiners, near on every single soul in there going nuts. Morning Runner @ The Joiners (2006?) One of the very few times I have been blown away. Coldplay @ Earls Court - Like the muse one, not so much a gig, more of a show, but the show that was put on was nothing short of awesome. The Cribs @ Wedgewood Rooms (2008?) - Seen them too many times to remember, but this one was pretty clear it was gonna be the last time we saw them in a small venue, and they certainly made it one to remember. And they walked out and said "Alrite Sooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuthampton!" in there bloody yorkshire accents, to which me and my mates all give it "Hoooooooraaaayyyyy!!!!" hahaha! My fav band and a gig I certainly shall not forget. So many many other top gigs aswell, no way I could choose a favourite.
  5. (Note the lack of a full stop on the final sentence... This indicates there is more BS to come.) Okies, Just had a listen... Top bloke, I Really hope this works out. He talks sense, something I never thought AP did much. Loved the "This is War" comment and how he completely dismissed the "Any Injury News?" question. I like how he spoke of the players, he seems happy enough with the morale of the squad, so hopefully over the next few weeks he can start to implement the style he brought to S****horpe, because that I would actually look forward to go and watch every week. Something I can honestly say I didn't do under AP. I was happy when we were linked with him, I was very happy when we appointed him, I am even more so now we have heard from the man himself. Hopefully, my upward trend in feelings towards him continue. Sharp, to the point, and confident. I like it. Nigel Adkins Red & White Army! COYS!!!!
  6. Scrambled egg on Brown Bread, with a shed load of pepper and a touch of Tommy. Every day at 5am.
  7. What, like Phil Brown?
  8. Dr. Dog - 'Shame, Shame'. Quality album.
  9. Very very happy with this indeed. No more hoofball!!!! WOOP WOOP! Interesting how cortese mentioned that NA was in fact the ONLY person they offered the job to. That little blagger Eddie Howe!!!
  10. I might start the 'I was going to go to MK on Wednesday but I am fed up of spaffing shed loads of cash week in week out to watch a load of crap so will wait and see if performances improve before I carry on wasting my time' thread...
  11. Exactly! I have never been able to understand what people see in him! Personally I think he is an average League One p Left-back, at best. He is forever losing his man, always being caught out of position, passing is terrible and he thinks he is David Beckham in 1998 with his floppy hair. He had had a couple of good games I admit, and I also like how he gets forward and overlaps with Lallana down the left flank, but seriously... That does not make him the best left-back in the division.
  12. Totally agree. These totally inept performances cannot be bland on the sacking of AP, because they were there before he went. Even the Brizzle Rovers game, although we won 4-0, it wasn't a great performance, it was more a cataclysmic display by Brizzle and the rarity that we took our chances that gave us what was a fantastic result. Clearly things are not right in the camp, and We can only hope that whoever comes in can really shake the lads up, because I'm ****ed if I can think of one players performances thus far that I am happy with. If I had to say one, it would be Barnard, who with one moment of madness has cost him, and us, 3 games of his presence, and I guess Aaron Martin has done alright so far too, although I can't comment on yesterday as I wasn't there, but from listening on the radio he sounded ok and hit the bar too. Pre-Season was a shambles, The new signings I am far from impressed with, especially Butterfield who I think has looked distinctly average. Something needs to change, and ruddy quick too.
  13. of course they wouldn't want him! He doesn't know League One.
  14. Some of the comments on this fred =
  15. I know a fair few lads who still stick religously to PES, and won't even give Fifa a go. Add to that the fact that a quick gander at a few gaming forums confirms the fact that there are thousands who claim that PES is still better. Laughable really. I agree with your other comments. It used to be fantastic, but unfortunatly everything else has evolved, where as PES has just changed name every year.
  16. Oh dear... We have it clarified and STILL, they can't help themselves.
  17. hopefully he will get back to how we know he can play, because so far he has been shocking. Granted he has been unfit, and i totally understand playing him still as with Rickie he can bang a goal in from nothing. Hopefully today's the day he comes good again!!! COYS
  18. That has only confirmed to me why I gave up on PES 4 years ago. The players run like they have some sort of condition, passing is about as dynamic as the Woolston ferry and the general gameplay just looks terrible. Granted, the graphics look good... but deary me, how long til' all you PES worshipers wake up and smell the coffee?
  19. Wow, i feel so much better now. Just confirms everything i thought, but good to hear that his heart really is in the right place. Love the response to the Brown Phil comment!
  20. - He made up a story about saving a girl from jumping off a bridge. Maybe I should do my list, then post them...? - He wore a pink cardigan on telly.
  21. He sang on the pitch on Hull's last day of the season... making himself look a penis.
