  1. A few years ago I worked on a huge contract for Southampton City Council. 'Better Homes' involved us rewiring flats and houses, many of which were occupied by the elderly, quite often they were going a bit... Senile? On a handful of occasions I was asked how much they owed me. I informed them that they didn't owe me a penny, all was done and dusted and they had nothing worry about. I dread to think how many were not as honest.
  2. That sounds like a plan batman. Some good advise already chaps! I think if everyone gives me there bad experiences, I should be alright! Lol. I have a 1TB external which all my programs and music are on at the moment and a 500gb purely for the family pics. Hutch... How do I go about working out what size PSU I need? I got my eye on a 500w, I'd have thought that would be plenty but want to make sure...? I shall check out the forums when I'm home. My Samsung 23" widescreen HD monitor turned up today, think we might be spending some time in the bathroom together tonight! Mmmmm!
  3. Always had AMD's and have never had a problem with them. Read a shed load of reviews on it, and had a look up of the i5 aswell (i7 too pricey at the moment), and was happy to go for the Phenom. I have no need for it yet but it can be overclocked to run at 4.2GHz comfortably with a water cooler. I got the HDD off of Amazon for £48, happy to pay that little bit more and know that i have someone to go to should I have any probs. Fed up with ebay tbh. But cheers for pointing it out anyhows.
  4. Like the idea of this. Sounds very good indeed and will be even better when they finally far cough Carlsberg. Unfortunatly for me I am away for 2 weeks as of end of next week so it's gonna be a fair old while before I get the chance to sample it. I should only miss the Oldham game though, which funnily enough was the only home game I missed last season aswell. I am though missing 2 away days I was very much looking forward to.
  5. Have been looking into buying a new Computer for a while now, but have come to the conclusion they are a rip off and have decided that I want to take the plunge and pop my cherry... I'm going to build myself one. I know we have a few tech savvy guys & girls on here, so was wondering if anyone who has done this before has any advice or know of any common stumbling blocks for a first timer such as myself? I'm not completely useless when it comes to Computers, but i'm more able when it comes to the software and troubleshooting side, rather than the hardware aspect of the things. But I have what I think is the general jist of things and understand that everything needs to be compatible etc. My prospective build comes in at around £550 (give or take a few pennies) but that is purely for the tower, no monitor, printer etc etc. But for that money, I personally feel the system I will have come the end of it would be more than twice that of what I would get if I purchased one off of Dell or PC World. To give you tech folk an idea of what i'm looking at; - AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 3.2 GHz Processor - CORSAIR 4GB 1333MHz CL9 DDR3 Memory Kit (RAM - May double up on this but depends on funds) - Samsung F3 HD103SJ 1TB internal Hard Drive SATAII 32MB Cache 7200RPM - Will be running on Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit. Obviously there is alot more to it, a decent but inexpensive Graphics Card, Silent fans and CPU Cooler... I'll leave it at that for now. Any tips/advice...? Hit me.
  6. Good post and highlighted a very important factor. Over the next few years I think we are going to witness a rapid decline of many of our top flight clubs. With our infrastructure and ambition, Cortese's "Vision" is far from unfeasable.
  7. Brave question.
  8. This is what I was trying to say but apparently blowing the weaker sides of this division completely out of the park doesn't mean anything. FWIW... IMO, play like that against anyone in this division and we will barely concede 10 more goals this season. Purely because the f*****s won't get a chance because 1. They can't get hold of the ball and 2. When they do... They are up against a seriously well organised unit. For me, the difference in these 3 weeks is nothing short of outstanding. If we don't get a result against Udders, then it will be because the performance wasn't on par with that of Saturdays. Play like that and I can see that bunch of C**ts getting another lesson. Only this time with fast flowing, beautiful football. I personally hope Peter Clarke is torn a new ringhole, cause I can't stand that penis.
  9. Christ. Hope everyone's ok. Not suprised someone has been hit round by the farmy... Lost count of the amount of times I have come close to both being hit by a motor and hitting someone myself. Too many people just walk out on the corners (myself included).
  10. Ummmmm... no I havn't. He did state that he wanted an area around our stadium that we could be proud of but in the same sentence I recall him saying "although relocation isn't out of the equation. There was a mention of "Surrounding Facilities" (hence why I mentioned Chelsea Village as this being the only existing set up I could think to compare what i imagine he is thinking).
  11. Have i missed something?
  12. May I ask if you went to the game? Because you seem to be missing a very important point here. Or do I need to be informed that this is another Mr Negative that I have to put up with or face further punishment by the powers of the heirachy?
  13. Yes. Fed up with hearing negative comments and continually going back to Pardew. He has ruined the thread. This is evident with this conversation we are having. Instead of talking positively about how much better Saints are now and if you havn't seen them then you really should because 99.9% of people there yesterday were blown away... we are talking negative boll*cks. Really? Got nothing to do with the countless negative people on here who have to, just HAVE TO find SOMETHING to f*****g moan about!??
  14. Yep.
  15. oh ffs sadoldgit is at it on this fred aswell...
  16. Well done sadoldgit... 3 post and you have ruined this thread. You either have a serious fetish for AP, have yet to see us play under NA or you are the total invalid I have previously thought you may be. Yes, Pardews team scored alot of goals... but that doesn't detract from the fact that I actually couldn't stand watching 90% of the football we played, or how no matter how dreadfully wrong our gameplan was going it wouldn't change, for what appeared to be for no other reason than that AP didn't actually know how too. You need to wake up and smell the coffee, AP has gone and we now have a manager who is giving 99.9% of us on the terraces puffy on's in our pants. Feel free to f*ck off if you dont like it.
  17. In an interview with Radio Solent sometime last season, Cortese stated that he either wants to totally refurbish the Area surrounding St Mary's, making it somewhere that we can be truly proud of with facilities and shopping area's etc etc surrounding it (Chelsea Village) or if that is not possible (Due to the amount of businesses surrounding the ground that it would be pretty much unfeasable to carry Plan A out, then they would look into relocating to somewhere that can handle all of that (King George Playing Fields opposite Parkway Station being the most likely IMO.)
  18. Rickie Lambert in 1st minute bad touch shocker.
  19. If you took every Saints fan that was at Wembley in March, put them head to toe, they would come only 4 miles short of reaching Wembley stadium from Southampton City Center. Compare that to the number of P*rtsm*uth fans that bothered to attend the F.A Cup Semi Final and they would just about reach Basingstoke. For me... Enough said.
  20. I would just like to remind you of the Stockport game at SMS last season. First half (in front of the Northam) he was literally shee iting a brick. Fluffed every kick, dropped every ball that came his way and pretty much humiliated himself... Second Half (in front of the Chapel), he was fine.
  21. What a truly pointless thread. Next time a total nobody from the opposition makes his way onto the pitch I will do my best to get northam singing "I dont know who you are but you are better than me as you are playing at St Mary's!". Some of you really are a sad bunch who I sincerely hope, for all our sakes, get a life soon enough. I reckon your the sort that phone in to the BBC when a "Discriminative", "Offensive" or "Racist" (Baa Baa Black Sheep) and complain, yet continuously voted labour despite the country spiraling deeper and deeper into oblivion under there control. Basically, you wil voice your opinion over an utter load of boo larks but keep your lips firmly far kin schtum when something that, put into perspective, has far more importance. Stop slagging off our support ffs, until that is, you can lead the way in how to support our club in the right manner. I.M.O... Pr1ck.
  22. That was a real pleasure to watch. More than a pleasure in fact... It was far king Suuuuuuuuuuuuperb!
  23. Anyone else check out Everything, Everything at Talking Heads on Tuesday? I was very, very impressed.
  24. Deffo. I have a fair few playlists already that might interest people with interest in obscure nu-folk. lol... but yeh, for what it's worth, count me in. Whats the site?
