David Wagner is a terribly defensive manager. Got Huddersfield promoted with a minus goal difference and Schalke's top scorer this season finished with seven goals. Schalke have won one game since December 15th, scoring 12 goals in their final 19 matches.

Butland's become a meme. If he was currently our player, which I wanted him to be around 2012 when he was at Birmingham then I am sure that we would have the same opinion of him as we currently do Forster. He has been on the decline for a while now, while you could argue Gunn still has some potential, so they're very much at different points in their career. Butland's final game of the season was a 5-0 defeat against Leeds and he was on the bench behind Adam Davies for Stoke's final two games as well as being benched for Adam Federici for six games earlier in the season. The only goalkeeper I want us to sign is one that would be an upgrade on McCarthy, who I think is dependable, but can also be upgraded upon while for now goalkeeper is not a priority position and I don't think Butland is that and would be a waste in the wage bill. These links to Welbeck and Butland over the last two days, hopefully just paper shite like the Lallana return story, as they aren't the sort of players I would expect us to bring in nowadays.

The website is really poor for exclusive information in my opinion. I don't really go on there anymore, all news gets posted onto here, which I'm fine with. The website's decline has coincided with the Daily Echo's as well, both were go to websites for good information three or four years ago, but I think the rise of social media has made both less important. Even signings and new contracts we know a good few days before they are officially announced these days.

Ah, that's good, cheers! Wonder why Hoedt's back, going from his Instagram, he's back in Southampton at least.
-
Going by Lemina's Instagram he's still in Instanbul. He'd be back training if we had any intentions of having another look at him this summer.

Poch backtracked on his prior comments: When asked about his previous comments about the job by Spanish outlet El Pais earlier this month, he said: "You have to explain it properly. Things can be said in a different way. Espanyol have helped me become well known. "But I'm not arrogant and I didn't like making a comment like that. Maybe now I wouldn't say that as you never know what can happen in life." I respect Pochettino as a good manager, but I definitely wouldn't have put loyalty as one of his key strengths while he was here. I don't think he's any more loyal than any modern day player, or manager though, it's just lost from the game these days. He very much says what he thinks people want to hear at the time and what will help him gain popularity. Like all managers do and when Mourinho said that he would never manage Tottenham in 2015 and now look at that. Also, Poch was talking about leaviing Spurs if they won the Champions League last year ahead of their final match, which I don't think particularly helped his cause.

What a weird signing, fortunately it was only on loan. The last of Ross' terrible recruitment.

My memories of signing injured players is Romain Gasmi and Anthony Pulis. ☹️

He's essential to our midfield and the perfect Ralph player given his high energy and now more consistent showing of his much lauded technical ability. I must admit that I've not always seen his qualities and that for a long while I thought that his best game in a Saints shirt was his first Premier League match against City, however he's certainly proving me wrong now. Hopefully not a five year deal, like the one Lallana signed just before leaving.

Chelsea want Dunk AND Stones, according to the paper talk today.
-
We signed Vestergaard for £18m, no way should Bednarek be valued lower than him.
-
With Matt Targett going for £15m, there's surely no chance Obafemi goes for £10m. I'd value him at £20m+ in today's market and I'm very much of the mindset that he still has a lot to prove in terms of his impact on a match when starting which is mostly down to his poor movement off the ball and a hit and miss first touch. But, he does have pace, is a forward, potential, two years on his contract and the goals against Chelsea and Man United show there's something there. I'm happy with him as a backup. This is also a club who spent £22m on Wesley, who didn't have a particularly good scoring return in Belgium and £20m on Tyrone Mings and from what I'm seeing COVID hasn't had an impact on transfer fees as alluded to prior.

The sash shirt without a sponsor again?

Yeah, I was thinking this would be the case, especially to stop people attempting to travel to one of the fixtures, but it seems like Everton, Tottenham and West Ham have announced their opponents, location and times as normal. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11698/12049208/premier-league-pre-season-friendlies-fixtures-results-dates-2020-21 As expected, all against Football League opposition.

Hello Hinteregger's agent, we do not have much of a say in signing players on here.
-
Yeah, the end of the last season was the perfect opportunity to blood Jankewitz into the first team with five subs and not a lot to play for other than pride. But, he only ended up making three appearances on the bench and was left out of the other five match squads. Too soon to herald him as the replacement for Hojbjerg and he'd very much be the cheap option.

2013 Super Cup final. Was very harsh as it was against Bayern Munich and probably the best goalkeeper at the time in Manuel Neur.
-
Buendia was their hardest working player/their only player making any effort from what I saw of Norwich following the restart of the league season. But, again we've got more important positions to focus on this window.
-
Probably our most "sellable" goalkeeper. I wouldn't want to sell him now, as I think there is still some potential there. His best game for us was probably his debut against Chelsea and last season I feel that he was a victim of playing in a very poor, close to dire Southampton team as well as playing behind a horrendous back line. However, you can't say that McCarthy doesn't deserve the number one spot either and if Gunn needs to go in order to generate funds for other positions and due to not being able to sell Frankenstein then Gunn may have to go. We do however need to make a profit on him and we signed him for £13.5m from City...

Boruc is one of those who has a, lets say questionable personality, but has gotten away with it through his career as he's a good player. I think Koeman demanded professionalism from all, which was shown when Wanyama and Mane used to step out of line (e.g. the Liverpool comeback match). There was also a clear breakdown in Koeman's and Boruc's relationship, as you could see from Boruc's cryptic Instagram posts at the time of being dropped and then his less subtle criticism of Koeman when he left for Everton.
-
This is just for a Fifa Ultimate Team, Player of the Year card, isn't it?
-
Wilson is crap, according to Bournemouth fans, but if we can get £17m for a player named Che Edams I'd be happy with that.
-
We're getting £8m for Harrison Reed, an extra £4m for KWP is good business.
-
They need to get a solid pair of hands in charge like Houghton, or they're heading down to League One. Look how Stoke, Huddersfield and Sunderland have struggled in recent years following relegation.

You don't switch agents to Jorge Mendes just before leaving if you want to stay.
