Clubs are starting to get busy now with six days until the season's start. Wolves have brought in two this weekend, Newcastle bringing in Wilson, Fraser and Lewis, Sheffield United bringing in Lowe, Bogle and Burke, West Brom - Diangana, Button and Robinson, Leeds are reportedly close to a couple more £10m plus signings

Yeah, Redmond, Djenepo and Boufal looks like as good depth as we're going to get for wide options, but if Boufal goes then I feel that we're going to need to replace him. Even though the latter two were non-existent once football restarted and we hit our best form.

West Ham have a fan base that can never be pleased. Complaining about a lack of investment despite reportedly putting in a £27m bid for Tarkowski and just last year they spent £24m on Fornals, £45m on Haller and £22m on Bowen. £36m on Felipe Anderson the year before that. The Allardyce saga as well, who wasn't playing the "West Ham Way".

The club only found out today that Salisu is a Saints player, Fabrice is right.
-
Oh, ffs. Although, I can only read the headline, but ffs.
-
Looks like the Schneiderlin who played for us from that video with the bonus of set pieces.
-
Strange, as Manji has a usually stellar ITK record.

Much like the Matt Targett transfer last year, some affiliation to a player who has been within the academy setup for years and broken into the first team, but ultimately isn't good enough if we want to show some ambition again and progress in the Premier League, rather than settling on what we have got and he would have been a downgrade on Hojbjerg/Romeu/Ward-Prowse like Targett always was for Bertrand.

I didn't explicitly state my "fuck you" towards Swansea City Association Football Club, either.
-
I’ve just remembered Swansea’s off pitch “tactics” in that all decisive relegation clash. Yeah, fuck you Swansea.

Because the last time he was number one, it was a horror show, whereas McCarthy does very little wrong and is a much more competent shot stopper, and given our defensive frailties, we now need a good shot stopper. Fonte, Alderweireld, Wanyama and Schneiderlin aren't in the team to protect Forster anymore. A good half year at Celtic doesn't make him good enough for us either, Elyounoussi looks good up there too.

Mario Lemina - Drink driving. (Looks like we've had a few of those)
-
Redmond now uploading training Instagram stories following silence.
-
Only us and Norwich running a net spend profit, says all you need to know. Luckily we now seem to have good football personnel within the top of the club as that's all we can rely on.
-
The best thing about Le Tiss being on the show was that he actually knows about Southampton, whereas other pundits only know about the top six and give out generic lines for all the others. Now it's just going to be how we lost 9-0 last season every week.

Wow, a step down for Mr. Ego, who would have thought.
-
But, Carl Anka said he wasn't any good!!!

£2m is nothing to Premier League teams. Although, again, we don't seem to have much spending power, while Leeds chuck £30m on a Spain international. Did they not learn anything after the last time?

I guess it is also worth noting that the betting industry probably hasn't been affected as much by the last few months, especially those that are purely online such as Sportsbet as other industries have.

Even the National League is sponsored by LV Bet.

Just had a quick search, JWP won the award in 2013, Jake Hesketh in 2014, Jake Vokins 2017. Couldn't find anything for the missing years. Will Ferry was named Academy Player of the Year in 2019, if it's the same thing. 🤷♂️

David Wagner is a terribly defensive manager. Got Huddersfield promoted with a minus goal difference and Schalke's top scorer this season finished with seven goals. Schalke have won one game since December 15th, scoring 12 goals in their final 19 matches.

Butland's become a meme. If he was currently our player, which I wanted him to be around 2012 when he was at Birmingham then I am sure that we would have the same opinion of him as we currently do Forster. He has been on the decline for a while now, while you could argue Gunn still has some potential, so they're very much at different points in their career. Butland's final game of the season was a 5-0 defeat against Leeds and he was on the bench behind Adam Davies for Stoke's final two games as well as being benched for Adam Federici for six games earlier in the season. The only goalkeeper I want us to sign is one that would be an upgrade on McCarthy, who I think is dependable, but can also be upgraded upon while for now goalkeeper is not a priority position and I don't think Butland is that and would be a waste in the wage bill. These links to Welbeck and Butland over the last two days, hopefully just paper shite like the Lallana return story, as they aren't the sort of players I would expect us to bring in nowadays.

The website is really poor for exclusive information in my opinion. I don't really go on there anymore, all news gets posted onto here, which I'm fine with. The website's decline has coincided with the Daily Echo's as well, both were go to websites for good information three or four years ago, but I think the rise of social media has made both less important. Even signings and new contracts we know a good few days before they are officially announced these days.
