  1. Liverpool - "You'll never walk alone" - Unless there is a global pandemic and then you can fend for yourselves on furlough... Furthermore, we would like to walk alongside the eight longest serving Premier League clubs, but the rest of you... You can fuck off.
  2. Long and Obafemi are more effective than Deeney and they’re both currently struggling for game time, especially now with the addition of Walcott also. No thank you.
  3. Leicester are the only club I’d want voting.
  4. Despite all the criticism he gets, the £20m obligation to buy loan deal for Ings was a masterstroke from Reed, even if it didn’t seem so at the time.
  5. Brilliant moment was Lambert’s goal.
  6. I don't think Elyounoussi will ever make it here. He just didn't seem to have an impact on any games that he played. Like, less of an impact that Boufal had. Anonymous every time, even against Derby in the cup under Ralph when he played the full match in the 2-2 draw. Think it's down to a lack of pace/speed. Tadic didn't have either, but he made up for it with a better brain and more technical ability, which I do not believe Elyounoussi possesses. The Scottish/Swish league seems to be much more his level and he does stand out in those to be fair to him.
  7. Is Valery any worse than Martina/Pied? I don’t think so. Too early to say about Vokins, perhaps it is him who Ralph doesn’t think would be able to step up.

  9. An interesting one. KWP absolutely needed to be signed permanently after his performances in the back end of last season, so happy with that. Then we have the question markers. Salisu and Diallo are still quite fresh/unknown. Both have very little experience of professional football and the Premier League is an unforgiving league. They could go either way, hopefully they’re more of a Djenepo, who is still raw, but clearly has ability and potential, rather than a Danso. Then we have Walcott, who again has question marks over himself now. Has he still got what he once had and how bad are his injury problems still? He’s always been a good finisher though, so hopefully he can add that to a squad who only has Ings as the natural scorer. But, then last year we signed Danso on loan on deadline day, so we’ve gone up a few levels there. The signings of Diallo and Walcott have also pushed Tella and Smallbone back down the squad’s pecking order, as neither are good enough currently. While we now have four centre-back options again, and we know we have three who can play at this level. (Salisu unproven). I’m not too disappointed about missing out on Williams. I thought he was a strange link to begin with. I’m more than happy with Bertrand still, who is still one of our better players and obviously KWP on the other side. I think Valery is still good enough to be backup on the right side and I haven’t seen enough of Vokins, but at 20 this season is really the one where he needs to prove that he is good enough and add to his singular league appearance. Sam McQueen still exists, he’ll be 26 when he leaves us next summer, probably retire, shame.
  10. Silly Sun journo man. I suppose it was more likely that we would shut up shop after bringing in Theo, so worth a punt to at least seem itk, if you’re a journo who doesn’t know anything.
  11. Strange one. I’ve always been a big champion of Walcott since he left us and often wondered what if with him, if he had continued to play down the centre, rather than getting lumped out wide due to his pace, if he had stayed here a while longer to develop further and if he didn’t have his long term injury issues. However, bringing him back now seems/feels like a couple of years too late. I.e. he should have joined us when it was between us and Everton for his signature. But, now in hindsight and given his performances at Everton, I don’t really care that we missed out on him back then. Additionally, if we were linked with Walcott at the beginning of the window, then we would have all dismissed it, like we did the links to Lallana, as he is as far away from our usual transfer incoming age bracket as possible. Although, I am in big favour of occasionally stretching that bracket and bringing in a quality experienced player where possible, as it has worked wonders with Ings. I suppose Walcott is just a loan and it is risk free if he does continue to suffer with injuries and recapturing his old form and hopefully he can force me to eat my words and show some of the class that he definitely showed in glimpses at Arsenal and for England.
  12. Djenepo!!!!! That’s what he contributes when he’s on it. Lovely.
  13. It is strange because Adams’ goal against Man City was so instinctive and he hit it without really thinking too much about it. Now, he seems to want to take an extra touch, happened against Spurs and on the rebounded shot today.
  14. Having a medical at Parma.
  15. A crap situation. Rhian Brewster is a good signing for Sheffield United, they have £20m+ lying around without selling anyone noticeable and signing Ramsdale for £20m prior.
  16. Scared of flying and constantly gets into public spats with his manager/owners, so the black box would have ruled him out.
  17. Ronaldo Vieira going to Hellas Verona.
  18. You can also replace "Celtic" with "Southampton".
  19. Yeah, they'll chuck another £100m at their squad now. One of the disappointing aspects of the window closing after the season has started... Unless it's all a waste with them... Again.
  20. Big error from Martinez, would not have affected the result, but Mitrovic saves him by being his usual reckless self.
  21. Who shall we loan Lemina to next summer, Portsmouth?
  22. Forster and Gunn don’t get down to the shot that McCarthy made from Taylor last night. That’s why he’s number one.
  23. I’m sure Dyche used to always go on about how his players never dropped easily. They’ve been dropping like flies on numerous occasions in the first half hour, Wood the latest culprit.
  24. Brilliant play from Bednarek to KWP to Adams and then Ings with the whole goal to shoot at. COYS!
  25. This link seems the most believable. Going by information from here and in the media Weston McKennie was our top midfield target to replace Hojbjerg. Ntcham, Davies and Loftus-Cheek are completely different midfielders to McKennie and are more in the Armstrong mould, Davies more of a JWP, but without the set-pieces. I've never seen this Sangare play, or heard of him before now, but he seems like more of the midfield battler type, that McKennie and Hojbjerg are.
