  1. His positioning was terrible, kept getting caught out really badly by being in just the wrong place at the wrong time. Only thing to save it was his acceleration and pretty good tackling to recover from the mistakes he kept making. I was quite underwhelmed
  2. Just thought a pub team was too generous as it would actually deflate his ego when some League of Ireland or Irish league football would probably allow his ego to continue despite being the 2 biggest sham league's in Europe
  3. ] Sligo Rovers... Could have gone for Ards Rangers, Bangor Rangers, Enniskillen Rangers or maybe even Southampton Rangers in Bermuda (first three are replacement rubbish Irish teams)

    Marvin Sordell

West Ham with 7 strikers on this logic?
  5. It's supposed to be something like 35m for the first, 40m for the next (goes up if you stay up) and your parachute payments are only based on how long you were in the prem for, so no as we haven't been there yet it doesn't include it. If we went back down though it'd be 5-7m but only for another season or spread over two. 6m for an overlooked english striker who appears to have a decent couple of seasons under his belt (and one injury) could be a good move though (just to try and get back on topic) I assume he was with Adkins at s****horpe too which is a plus
  6. English football in a nut shell, such a rip of tax just because they are english. Very glad we aren't bothered with him
  7. You mean quite a bit worse than McC
  8. Yes he is cleared to work in the UK as a footballer for Southampton FC, all he has to do is get back over here and sign some forms to be on the bus!
  9. Football manager confirms he is on loan from Juventus and (on FM stats basis) looks quality.
  10. His champ record hasn't been amazing, this is his first "good" season based on stats (had a good run in l1). More than likely not worth the cash or the bidding war we would end up in just because he's english... Probably the same for Maynard and Jay rod too (there should be an official english talent tax for moments like this)
  11. The fans that made the trip for it again...
  12. Have it on good authority it'll be Kelvin..... (read no authority at all, just wanted him to get one against pomp and blast it in for his 250th)
  13. Danny Wilson going to Blackpool is one I would like to watch and see how he gets on. Same about Shelvey when he had his spell there, would have really liked to see him on loan Don't think its in the teams best interest to be investing our time in loan players we have no hope of signing though, so Macheda (no matter how good he is on FM) really would be out the question.
  14. Vaclav Kadlec and Andrew Johnson
  15. Weird game, 0-0 was the most deserving result but as a mate said at half time someone was going to get just one and run away with 3 points, shame it was them. McInns is their Adkins and that was by far and away the best league team to come to St Mary's in the run (United being better but they are one of the best teams in the world). They were organised and kept their shape, especially when things got going in the second half as the first was just quick and scrappy. We weren't at our best and well the result shows it, but several played had really good games, Morgan and Steve again pushing for starting places. Martin again was good (nice to see the lad get a few starts as I like him) and Jos was really good, very glad we have him now. Guly was his usual hit and miss fan fair which I enjoy as he played an AMAZING pass to steve in the first half that steve didn't quite make, on a dry day or one with a little more luck that's the sort of thing we need. Lallana still doesn't look quite right which is a shame as I want him back on form soon The ref spoilt the evening though, don't see why their no.6 wasn't sent off for a second yellow for plowing into Lambert on 70 mins. Don't see why steve was given a hand ball for slipping and touching it when James could handle it out the area... The list of mad little decisions goes on (morgans yellow being terrible too). Hope there is some sort of review committee on ref performances as it was frustrating to see 2 well organised and good passing teams hampered by an idiot not applying balanced common sense or text book rules. At least Maynard looks a better buy than Zaha and Adomah would clearly be a good buy too. Still an amazing calendar year at home and onwards for another
  16. It's an audi R8 Followed it out of town once or twice....
  17. Champlow's goal against United was amazing, SCREAMING CHAPLOW!!!!! at a bundle of Irish united fans who a. went WHO?!?! then b. WHAT 1-0?!?!?!?! and singing premier league your having a laugh for the rest of the game (despite the result we did anything but disgrace our selves that day). Blackpool in the 3rd round was amazing, getting word of Holloway's words on the way home was just funny... The Walsall at home result was too good. Last weekend chanting we're waiting for you made me smile as going to Fratton was a fun day out even if the ground was terrible. Watching any number of "amazing" champ teams, Brum, Borough, Blackpool, Leeds, even Palace and just not getting why they are touted to go up as they really haven't been good. Ipswich away as a whole game was amazing, took some convincing to go but was just the best game of the season! Can not get over Morgan's ball to Lallana for the 4th and screaming HOW GOOD WAS THAT before it even went in. Final best moment signing Jos on a permanent deal as it was the type of deal you could see getting stalled with Celtic being greedy, Saints being hard nosed, agents getting in the way, but a large amount of relief that he's a saint and the upwards trend can only be continued
  18. Give him the Adkins treatment and fm12 say's he would be amazing!
  19. Morgan a truly outstanding performance from the middle of the park, a real lesson on what he is best at and where he should have been played in the last few games (helped a bit by steve on the wing and guly having the confidence to come back towards the middle to make more passes)
  20. Good game, nice to see we can get back to mixing up amazing possession with a bit of running with it on the break. Steve was clearly a big help with his pace but is still very rough round the edges (5 crosses and only 2 ones going in the right direction) but its nice to see some of the promise shine through. Morgan has to Man of the Match without a shadow of a doubt. We finally have his role sorted where he's there at EVERY tackle in our half, he gets forward to try and help bring people into moves (without shooting too much) and follows up every wayward ball from both sides. It was like having Chaplow, Cork and Hammond in one very energised player! Should have played him like that against Blackpool and Pomp as it was the energy and skill combined that made such a difference in the teams confidence (and the embarrassing performance of Palace). Guly should get a mention too as he wasn't doing that out and out forward thing that doesn't suit him and made a lot of good paces in the centre of the pitch and being on the end of the goals was sweet too All in all great game
  21. I'm really starting to agree, Fonte is still a great player but Jos just really provides that bit of presence the back line has been needing. Plus the pair of them are probably the best CB pairing in the Champ
  22. Other than needing the loo for the 40 min wait till 11.10 for the bus ot leave the stadium and the trip to Fratton you can't fault the method. On paper it looks like an expensive waste of time, had to be up at 5.30am to pick up a mate and drive to the stadium (when originally I would have gotten the train to the ground like any other game), but this is not "any other game" and no matter how stupid they looked at home (unable to play decent football, unable to sing and a crowd full of utter mongs) it was the only game I didn't care about having a nice drink and a fun day out. I just wanted to see the game and feel good that we are actually going somewhere with the club. The police clearly could never use this for every game (too many games on a saturday) but for a one off we felt like the pope to come grace the heathen masses and it was more fun just being able to go to the big away game without having to put up with hassel than going, a mess happening and it really taking away from the general fact of how rubbish their place is (nothing beats seeing an old man giving the V from behind his curtain or some 20 something woman mouthing off out the car at our bus!)
  23. Cheers! The ticket office mentioned this last saturday but an official announcement has calmed the nerves a bit
  24. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/brighton/9660626.stm Love the gus quotes, just such a petulant child! Should instill some professionalism into his players as some of the bookings Brigton have been given have been for insisting the world is against them. Bit pathetic really
