He's not coming back.... Contract is up at the end of the season and clearly won't be offered a new one seeing as he's hardly played in the last 18 months, the video is a nice way to say thank you as he's clearly been great to have about the place even when not playing first team football

Started 4-4-2 with no one really on the right (Davis was sort of out there) but that wasn't hugely effective, second half went to the 4-2-3-1 sort of thing with long our right and Tadić on the left, that worked a lot better with confidence and giving the 3 in behind Pellé a chance to roam about a bit more.

Clyne motm Everyone was a bit mediocre first half, took a table being thrown at everyone for it to get better. Targett looked decent and should develop well with Beretrand taking the 1st team pressure off him Pellé looked better once he got a few shots off and once everyone gets in the grove together they'll all be good. Nearly back from the longest trip of all time and overall I'm happy enough with today. Plenty of good movement, chances and positive moments on what has been a hellish summer, just such a shame we were undone by Liverpool just taking their two main chances better. Give them a few more weeks together and we'll be a lot better just knowing where everyone will be. No idea how any of the players can be slated massively, Davis and the miss and a little bit of day dreaming across the side did mean we missed out on some chances but no one was in anyway bad. Wanyama was motm and tadič looked a real hand full (a more effective Lallana) Anyway to go into a game expecting a thumping and to come away with our heads held high as we look perfectly capable to playing anyone properly is a great start and we have so much to look forward to!

I imagine most clubs are betting on not reaching Europe and when/if it happens they yo-yo in and out with squad limits that city and PSG have "suffered", I would imagine we are looking to show how FFP limits the access to Europe without already being there and our strategy is to get there sustainably.

Such a shame he didn't get a run out in the last few games for a few mins at least just for being such a decent guy as the squads evolved, not many players take going from first team regular to back up with such good grace. Will always have find memories of him and I hope he gets a club again soon.

Bored Sums up everything about today, we're safe and we know it, we have no chance if anything worse or better than 9th... Worst of all we are better than this but nothing is going well and it's bad to watch, either we write off the last 3 months and use them as friendlies or we play experiments to mount a better campaign next year as this is dull to go to.
