Top three favourite Saints managers in the PL era.
scott_saints replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
If we are talking "at the time" then: Koeman Strachan Poch Adkins would be right up there, potentially top - if it wasn't just for just judging them in in the prem. -
Staplewood tours used to be a part of the young saints "football camp" type things - Mark Hughes just ignored all the kids waiting for autographs and walked past. Miserable git. Benali made up for it by spending loads of time with them all. Top bloke. Saw Beattie saying "do you know who I am" in a restaurant once. Used to think too highly of himself.

That's not new, but obviously it hasn't caught on.
-
Has he even scored a professional goal yet? Probably not likely to be our saviour.
-
22/1 can be had for us winning tonight...
-
Needs to go back to playing 5 at the back. At least with 5 we don't look like we will concede every time the opposition have the ball.
-
This happens every season in recent times. People start convincing themselves that they don't care about relegation. The celebrations when we stay up suggest that most of these people don't want to go down.
-
If it's sold out then the prices ARE justified. If people are willing to pay it, why reduce it? Would make no business sense. Of course it may not sell out yet though!

Fair point regarding Lovren and Lallana. I'm up for making St Marys intimidating, but I don't mean singing "we f**king hate you", which is rather cringe worthy. I guess I don't get too upset at players leaving. Apparently the players you mention left in a bad way, but I probably didn't take it personally enough to be bothered or to remember what they did. It has and always will happen. Some players will feel like they need to act in certain ways to get the move that they want.
-
I'd rather not give the ex players abuse because: 1 - They won't care 2 - They will have the last laugh as they will win 3 - It makes us look pretty small time. We've lost some players. We always will. Get over it
-
Hence the "hopefully"
-
I doubt he will be able to complete this, but good luck nonetheless.
-
Yeah but they're young and hungry.
-
If a geezer was due to start at my work place on Monday but died tomorrow - Having not met him, I wouldn't be too bothered. I'm pretty sure a "Sala effect" doesn't exist with their players.
-
Don't get me wrong - this is a game we really should be winning and will be super helpful if we do. If we lose though, we probably still won't be in the relegation zone. So for me, it's not a must win. I guess I just don't like the term.
-
If we lose, we could still stay up pretty easily. It's not a must win game. It's a game that would be really useful to win.
-
Can we talk about our potential in comings/outgoings instead of talking about who used to fly a plane please?
-
He probably could do a job for us, but so does Hoedt. Not a very good job.
-
Inevitably some people will think he's going to be a world beater, despite not getting in to Reading's match day squads.

Random post but haven't had much luck through gum tree. If anyone's interested in collecting a load of broken/not suitable (for my work place) pallets from Marchwood then give me a ring on 07585746277. We have a forklift so could help load. Thought I'd post it on here if anyone wants some free wood. There's quite a lot.

These lads sit directly infront of me. Annoyingly, they are all decent lads when you speak to them one on one, but they get a bit too over excited when they're all together. i saw the complaint go in to a steward by 2 Spurs fans...who to be fair, WERE visibly offended by the hissing. I didn't see any Nazi salutes but the hissing DID happen and probably from another 10 or so lads. This was in the first half and I predicted the outcome after seeing the complaint go to the steward (who rightly had to act on it). A couple of the lads got kicked out (peacefully) before their back up brigade got excited and got kicked out less peacefully while sticking up for their mates.

I don't care if we are winners OR losers. Of course I would prefer us to be winners given the choice. I'll be going for the **** ups if we were non league.
