If we had beaten the swiss, and chiles said he'd hoped to get his clock/watch repaired...i have a feeling there wouldn't have been a problem with that. Despite the context being more or less the same. Thoughts?

4 out of the last 5 threads you've created have been about Gaston/Osvaldo? We're playing fantastically right now, why the need for obssesive criticism over our players? However, if you're looking to troll maybe just try another angle for a bit, it will make it appear less obvious as currently your agenda has the subtlety of a hammer.

Wilfried Zaha seeks loan move, at least five PL clubs interested
lloydie replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
Yes i'd take him in a heartbeat, if we're looking for a player with more tricks and less end product than adam lallana that is. -
Well, Danny Mills did actually write a paper on how to tackle the problem of getting more english players at the top level... I'd hazard a guess that might be why. Also a lot of people slating it, why? It's better thwy try and address the problem then sit back and ignore it. Dyke might just be the best thing to happen to the FA in a while. It is a shame the premier league arent involved directly, but to get them to do much else apart from take a lot of our money year on year is pretty difficult to do.

Really interesting read Alps cheers for that!

Personally thought that Zaha looked irratating and lacked ANY end product. Half the player of Redmond. And apart from his assist I also thought Tom Carroll looked pretty wastefull when he had possession. JWP looked ok, and Shaw look absoloute class, as did the everton full back.

Ages? What are you, a mayfly?!
-
Nope. Everton can't afford him for a start, and I expect them to have a slow downturn in league standings over the next few years with Martinez in charge.
-
Are they as good as our hot dogs??!
-
Don't know if anyone else was getting annoyed at how often they kept showing the Bristol City - Palace highlights before any others, ad infinitum. It wasnt even THAT much of a shock, Palace and Holloway are pretty dire.
-
The ones that are complaining are probably the ones that leave 10 minutes before half time anyway!
-
Considering they are paying less (allegedly) for sponsorship this year they don't have too much to complain about.

I somehow can never imagine a west ham fans forum or QPR, Stoke etc forum ever having as in depth discussions as we do about tactics, pressing etc! -
Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
lloydie replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That ref was genuinely one of the worst i've seen in a long, long time! Lee mason, hang your head in shame. Man of the match, JWP! Thought the team played well but Lambert, Jay Rod and Wanyama looked a bit below par in my opinion. -
Loved the fact at the WBA game some proper 'ard nuts (not hard, just thick as sh!t) were giving it the biggun in a beer garden saying how good WBA are, and Anelka would score more than SRL this season, and that because anelka had won the CL(13 years ago) he was definately a better player right now! Might jus go to that pub later to royally lord it over some midlanders.

We havent got Wilshire, I really didn't use to rate him, but after watching him play the past couple of years he really is a world class player. For this reason we wont finish above Arsenal. That and there are a few other players like Walcott, Ox, Arteta, Cazorla that are still a touch above our attacking options, and Giroud i'd say is on a par to Lambert. CB's are difficult to judge as im sure Koscielny and Mertersacker would be better than ours if they had capable defensive midfielders infront of them!

Osvaldo for Italy, Roma and Pochettino's Espanyol - Tactics
lloydie replied to The9's topic in The Saints
I think one way we could look to get the best out of Osvaldo and still play Lambert, would be to have Lambert drop deeper and play a role similar to how Totti worked at Roma. The two both have similar strengths (good touch, eye for a pass, ability to hold the ball up and win headers) as well as the same weakness (lack of pace) and whilst I accept they are not the same player in every aspect I think they both share a good enough collective of skills to imply that Lambert could be used in a similar partnership with Osvaldo for SFC. -
As mentioned previously, Paul Robinson in hindsight is worse than Carragher. Looked like he was half asleep when on soccer saturday, there was even a penalty awarded in the game he was watching and he kept his commentary in his monotone pitch! Whilst you just know Merson or any of the others would have gone bonkers for it, which is much better viewing/listening!

£6 sounds pretty steep from Sholing! I commute via train from there to Eastleigh and my return costs £4.20, and my ticket also allows me to exit at Southampton Central should I ever want to make a detour! Not that this information should ever be used to shave a couple of quid off that £6 ticket of course...

I thought that there were moments where he was obviously having his hand held by Neville and Chamberlain in the analysis, as he seemed to struggle with some key aspects of the show (talking and using the massive iPad).
-
Im inclined to think this is how we will look aswell. Makes more sense for Lambert to drop deeper and play Osvaldo off him.
-
My favourite. Perhaps have one guy with a megaphone leading this chant and we all follow their lead.
-
Wow. This is definately mongboardery at its very finest!

Not many people can take credit when it comes to Portsmouth FC anyway, so you're not alone.
