If ever there was an example of their own pathetic ignorance, greed and stupid self importance, the potty bowl was it. "Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad" WTFILN

What's the wierdest thing you've ever seen someone do at football?

At the Goldstone in the '78 promotion season the local stupids threw a full Party 4 over the seperating fence. Not great beer but gratefully received and the empty was duly returned. -
Left the rabbit out one night. Fox got it. Kids mortified. Forever known as the rabbit killer of Chandlers Ford.

That would be an appropriate description of a Skate

The 1920's Skatesmouth pictures look just the same as the cesspit today.

I've always held the same opinion that it is St Mary's. The Friends Provident bit never held any value because they had no real connection - they just bought the right to be coupled with St Mary's. That said IF it became the Liebherr Stadium I would switch in a moment. It would be right because of the man and what he means to us. And I think we'd all be very proud to call it The Liebherr rather than St Mary's. St Mary's is where it is, not what it represents and there could be no more meaningful representation of what Marcus Liebherr means to this club and city.

To maximise the harvest that means nil expenditure on players and 2 years of playing the youth team (if one can be cobbled together) during 2 relegations to Blue Square land. Painful for them.
-
Quite. As those with mental incapacity are not deemed capable of entering into a legal contract, it follows that they will never be bought as only a looney would buy them who by definition would not be allowed to do so by virtue of being a looney and therefore the contract would be invalid. Perfectly squared circle.

Meanwhile over at West Ham: by bombay590 on Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:46 pm I've seen some crap over the years but that was ***** of the highest order. This has to be the most over rated and over paid team we've ever assembled. There's not what i'd call a " footballer " in the side. A collection of broad shouldered six footers with nothing much to offer than brawn ! Allardyce came with a reputation that was well deserved for the rubbish his teams serve up, but we hoped that the trade off would be a ticket to the promised premiership land. That side would be relegated by xmas I pray that some grim northern ****hole will entice this horrible, ugly boring unadventurous and negative northern **** back in the summer I look around and I see smaller, poorer clubs than ours playing or at least trying to play, cultured, clever neat football. This crap is neanderthal FFS Get him back oop north PDQ Could have told him that after we beat them 1-0. Anyway, Those who the Gods wish to destroy they first make mad. -
For that reason, I'm out

56 - Ch Ford/Romsey 1st Home Game 1965 v Bristol City. Channon scored I think (on debut?) 1st Away Game 1965 v Skates. Family tradition suggests the words 'what a dump' tumbled out of my mouth.

Pompey Ticket Details - game NOT televised

Likewise a wasted journey and no tickets. ****poor communication as usual in the ticket sales dept. Website not clear. Sack somebody. -
So the meeting between Birch & Lawrence went: TB: We want you to defer your wages until the end of the season LL: Does that mean we won’t be paid? TB: Yes and No. You won’t be paid immediately but you are a secured creditor under the football creditors rule so you are guaranteed your money. If we still haven’t found a buyer the Parachute Payments will cover it. LL: But what if the club is wound up and there are no Parachute Payments? TB: Let’s not worry about that but as a reward for your patience perhaps one day I can arrange payment of your wages into a tax free account in Monaco as an investment for a friend? Do you have a dog? (LL leaves with smiley face to tell the lads)

I can understand a 5% cut if they administer the sales in Poopey by providing a ticket selling service to Reading, but as they are doing diddly squat why would they expect anything? Oh ,,,, forgot the Poopey rules apply

See how easy it is to give money away when it has been thieved it in the first place. Thanks for offfering to give away the life savings of pensioners in Lithuania. Grand gesture.

"What this case demonstrates is that it is important to establish tests for determining whether the debtor is “hopelessly insolvent” at the first instance court" Seems that Mrs Justice Proudman has previous in not letting hopelessly insolvent chancers offering promises of future but incertain funding (ie fairy tale accounting) get past her. Lets hope she is sharp on Friday. Do us Proud Maam.

I read this thread every day and have sometimes despaired that they will get away with it. If this exchange with Lumpitt is true it just makes me glow with anticipation. Let it be, Let it be, Let it be, Let it be, Skates in Liquidation, Let it be.

To the Tune of the old sea shanty Spanish Ladies: We'll rant and we'll roar like true Saints supporters, We'll rant and we'll roar because we hate Skates, St Mary's to the sh*thole is 25 miles, You're all f***in retards, You're all f***in cheats. Can somebody find the tune?

Now.......where should we start?

Indeed: Richard was a good man and proved a good friend to me. A really sad loss.

The British are a lost tribe – disoriented, brooding and suspicious.

Hutton predicted the credit crisis about 15 years ago in his book 'The State We're In'. Ignore him at your peril. The point about fairness is crucial. We all know that the introduction of the Premiership was about making a few people rich and had nothing to do with fairness. In August most football supporters believed their team had a chance - evidence QPR, Saints, Ipswich, Crystal Palace and others being able to push the so called greats to the limit and come within an ace of winning the First Division. Now outside of the big 4 nobody has a chance. Frankly if Murdoch takes his poisonous millions away and the whole rotten carcase collapses and we can have our national game back it would be rather appreciated! -
Sunrise is OK but mundane. Better to take away from Jalalabad - cooked in front of you and good guys.

'It will then go out of the Football League and into some distant league, but the reality is that it will probably go into liquidation because the administrators will not be able to fund the continued business.' He continued: 'The evidence for this is quite clear. Mr Andronikou is quite clear about what the consequences would be if the CVA fails.' Wednesday August 4, 2010 16:31 Mark Please, Please Mr Justice Mann, just do it. Its the right thing for civilisation as we know it.
