If you mean the DATM site I've recently resigned my membership! It used to be fantastic site but sadly in recent months it's declined alarmingly. What used to be lighthearted but interesting banter has given way to silly immature insults - even amongst our own fans! It's a real :rolleyes:shame!

The League Table never lies! Very well done and have another wonderful time next season in 'The Championship'! Don't party too hard - work tomorrow!
-
You'd better win because we're going to! Simple!
-
Their 6'1" striker Robbie Simpson is on loan at Griffin Park from none other than Huddersfield Town! How ironic would that be if he scores their winner? To be honest I'm not sure if he's back in the reckoning, he was injured!

Okay here goes, from a Huddersfield Town perspective. To what extent do you believe football hooliganism is still evident? I think it bubbles under the surface and comes bursting out when the vital circumstances present themselves. Does hooliganism affect your match day experience? Not usually but every now again it's hard to ignore the threat or possibility it. Research has indicated that football hooliganism is returning to a similar state to the problem days of the 1960’s and 70’s, do you agree with this statement? I don't think it ever went away really! Late 1980's early 90's perhaps when the 'rave scene' was happening it quietened down noticeably but it's always there. What in your opinion provokes football disorder? People thinking it's okay to behave in an aggressive way in gangs regardless of who's around them. Usually fuelled by old rivalries or drinking alcohol. Does your perception of football hooliganism deter you from attending certain football matches? No. I don't like it but I reluctantly accept it goes with the territory. As do nights out in most of our major city centres unfortunately. AceT (HTFC)

Another hugely important day for both our teams where anything other than 3pts will throw the situation back into the mix, although it has to be said, you're well and truly in the driving seat at the moment. In a way it's a pity that it's come to this but then again I expect you'll have a full house today bursting with anticipation an excitement, which can't be bad. If your result had gone in our favour on Saturday I dare say our crowd would have been pretty good too but as it stands I reckon the floating cynics will stay in the pubs and bars. I think Brighton, yourselves and us actually do deserve to be promoted this season so can I say, whoever makes it automatically, congratulations and the team that enters the play-offs lottery - Good Luck! Have a great day! AceT(HTFC)

I recently resigned my membership of DATM mainly because I got sick of the attitudes of some members. If anyone holds a view that differs from perceived norms they're systematically subjected to insults and abuse. And...Don't ever mention politics because they tend to hit you with the Johnny Whitebread crap the boarders on rightwing nationalism. There are some level headed types but they tend to keep quiet rather than confront the ones with the vicious one line put downs. Now if these message boards are like that then we do indeed have something in common:lol:

No idea!

First of all well done Southampton on a tremendous win. In was in my local at 4.45pm having what I thought was a celebratory drink after realising Brighton were leading 1-0, sorry but you'd have been doing the same if it was us. Anyway, while I was at the bar getting another my eyes drifted on to the TV screen again and there it was 1-1, Bloody Hell! By the time I'd been served and sat down again it was 1-2 and match over, Jeeeeeeesus Chrrrrrrrist. How did you do that? The only thing for us now is try to win our own games and see how you get on! Like I say, great and vital win for your lads. Well done!
-
Like I say play-offs sound quite appealing!
-
I honestly can't see us losing our last three games mate! We got a swagger about us and we won't be deterred. You'd better be 'on it' or you're in the play-offs! To be perfectly honest I don't care if we end up in them. A trip to Old Trafford sounds pretty appealing in fact! Short train journey, plenty of great pubs and clubs, party atmosphere - Great!

Well boyz n girls, at least you know what you have to do today! Three points are an absolute must but will Brighton be caught basking in their promotion glory or will they be just as determined to take the League One title? And, will you be even more determined to secure an automatic place? Those are the questions, because at this stage that's what it comes down to; who wants it most! Yesterday MK were a decent side but we're on such a monumentally good 'roll' right now that they just couldn't do anything about us. They had loads of possession but hey...they couldn't make it count and that's where it matters most. Their penalty was a total joke by-the-way, the kid fell over! That was their lifeline chance to equalise and they blew it. Our victory could have been more emphatic but we too fashioned to miss another penalty. Not that I'm complaining at the 1-3 scoreline. I'd like to wish you good luck today but I wouldn't mean it so all I will say is - may the best team secure the last automatic place! Please God let it be us!

While I can see you've had players out lately we've had people out at crucial times throughout the season. Lost count of how many left backs that've been injured, even the loanees who replaced loanees in that position got injured. However, I hope you appreciate the spirit in which I posted on this thread.

Genuinely sorry to hear about you losing 'Barney' for the last few games! When he's on fire he's one of the best in this League and no mistake. You probably now realise how we felt when Pilks broke his leg and dislocated his ankle and how annoying it was when some of your numpties were gloating! Good Luck anyway! (In the play-offs!)

There's no way we (Huddersfield Town) will lose this game! (Kiss of Death Statements are us!) Excitement is at fever pitch here in all honesty so a defeat is unthinkable. There's a real sense of togetherness at the club these days the likes of which I've not personally witnessed since the heady days of Frankie Worthington and Trevor Cheery in our ranks. Obviously, we've drawn too many games in our recent unbeaten run otherwise we'd be 'clear' of Southampton regardless of games played but it's amazing what going unbeaten for so long, does to a team. Of course the pessimists will be saying we're going to lose at some point and that's fair enough but I'd prefer to think that we'll do exactly as we did back in our 1969/70 promotion season to the old 1st Division and go undefeated from January to May! Good Luck to all after today!

I totally agreed that 'Killer' has made a massive contribution since he came to Huddersfield Town. I also believe our result 'hiccups' throughout the season have been the result of injuries to key players. As I've posted before the injury list has been horrendous and would have completely 'killed stone dead' most League One squads.

So, you have to pick up six points minimum from your games in hand and at least match the Terriers points tally from the remaining six games. Therefore, your games against Charlton, Rochdale and Plymouth hold the key. I fully expect you to win tonight, so you have to beat either of the other two - minimum! Then there's a matter of Brentford and Brighton away. That said, on paper at least, we have the hardest run-in but hey, I can't think of anything more juicy than the prospect of beating these teams. Our team is on an absolute high at the moment and we don't look like giving up our unbeaten run easily. In fact Terry McDermott has just stated in a Radio interview that our dressing room 'togetherness' is better than anything he's experienced in his entire football career and when you think what he achieved as a player that's one hell of a statement.
-
We're definitely a very different proposition to the one you played in late December! So as for 'choking' I'm not sure what you mean? True, in last season's play-off semi Millwall intimidated us beyond belief but our team comprised mainly young inexperienced players. This time we're more equipped to deal with bully boy tactics and we can play a bit too. Basically, Saints the ball's in your court, win your games, you're promoted and I'll be the first to congratulate you, because you'll deserve it! I'd like to say good luck but that would be silly! What about good luck in the play-offs!
-
The fact is, nothing's certain! Which is what makes it a fascinating game. The 'fight-back' yesterday will no doubt have boosted any doubts you might have had. Funny how it works tough, if you'd raced to a 3-0 lead and MK Dons came back at you and scored two, the seeds of doubt would still be lurking. As it was, it ended the 'right way' around. God I love football! If the Terriers don't manage an automatic spot there's still the play-offs (hopefully) and what better way to do it than at Old Trafford in front of our adoring thousands. Expectation has been massive at The Galpharm this season but either way it's been a bumpy but enjoyable ride and the reason I'm still a life-long Huddersfield Town fan. Laters!

Terriers fan here! Firstly, I'd genuinely like to thank you for handing out that 4-1 mauling just before New Year because that was the wake-up call we needed. Indeed, you're the last team to beat us in League One and that's nineteen games ago. Isn't it a shame the second automatic promotion place can't be settled by a game between Southampton and Huddersfield? Obviously, as it stands, you can overhaul our points tally because of 'games in hand' but you'll have to win all of those to make it count - not that you're incapable of that! So this coming week's going to be very interesting. A win for us against Peterborough would more or less put them out of the 'automatic' picture and your midweek encounter with Charlton is an absolutely crucial 'game in hand' fixture. Squeaky bum time! Personally, I feel that given we've been hit by so many serious injuries to key players we've done remarkably well. The list is - Damien Johnson (who had been magnificent in midfield); Gary Naysmith (50 Full Scottish caps at left back); Alex Smithies (England U21 Keeper - knee ligament damage) Gary Roberts (broken arm - but now recovered); and last but definitely not least 'The Maestro', Anthony Pilkington (dislocated ankle and broken leg). I'm not sure whether it's just coincidence but after losing physio/mental coach Steve Black things went off the rails injury wise. Looking at the remaining fixtures yours look 'easier' than ours: Which are! Sat 9th. Peterborough - Home Sat 16th. Charlton - Away Fri 22nd. MK Dons - Away Mon 25th. Dagenham & Redbridge - Home Sat 30. Brighton & HA - Away May Sat 7th. Brentford - Home But hey!...If we want promotion you have to get something from each one of these games and to be honest, the way we're playing nothing is impossible. Our unbeaten run has sort crept up on us almost without notice because there's been a lot of draws in with that and as a result, our fans haven't exactly been over the moon with it all the time. One thing we have done is improved our defending and as I started by saying, 'Thanks' for that hammering, it brought it home to us that you can score as much as you like but if you let the opposition score more - you lose! Regards to all - One way or another I hope you're both in the Championship in August!

Try this!

That was a few years before I was born mate! My first season was 1959/60 in fact! A certain Bill Shankly was our manager and Denis Law our inside forward. But yeah, first club to win the 'League Title' three times in a row still has a nice ring about it. In fact, I still think of clubs as they were when I first started going to games and that tends to inform how I see them in comparison to ourselves to this day. So... the Portsmouths, Middlesboroughs, the Boltons, the Blackburns, the Fulhams and dare I say it the Southamptons are no bigger than my club in my eyes. All I will say is somewhere along the line someone at these clubs has had the ambition and the foresight to take them higher then we've been over the years on a fairly consistent basis!
-
I think it's move on time - don't you? We've all been there, only two week ago after losing three on the trot our fans forums were full of the 'sack Lee Clark' stuff and blaming certain players for being soft as ****e. Now, with two league wins we're going to '**** this league'. To be honest football fans make me laugh, they're so bloody shallow. I know we all pay our money but do we really need people going on personality breakdowns because we lose games. Just like you lot, most of us at Huddersfield Town are 'in it' for the rest of our days so momentary lapses must be seen for what they are! In any case, when things do take an upturn it makes them even more enjoyable! At Southampton you're actually a very lucky set of football fans, if you did but know it! You've been in the top League for decades until recently which is far more than my club has achieved and to be fair, I'd give anything for a quarter of the success your team has achieved. Regards AceT

I know it's probably easy for me to say since we seemed to have turned the corner ourselves but I wouldn't panic if I were you. Your players are easily good enough, your manager is still get used to the place and players at the club, so it's bound to take some time. I know it's even more frustrating when you've just been on a five game unbeaten run and you think things are on the up, then this happens - but that's football! Your lads seem to mirroring ours in the sense that you like to play football but it's not working as well as you would like. Lee Clark has been banging on for ages about the need to improve when we don't have the ball and it's seems to have finally sunk in (or at least for the last two games). The old adage 'earn the right to play' was never so apt! Good Luck I'm sure it'll come right!
-
Your comments could have been ours just a few weeks ago mate! We normally try to play 'football' so Saturday was a complete change for us. Apparently we did exactly the same at Colchester the week before. You're dead right! It might not be pretty in the first instance but you have to 'earn the right' to play your passing game because no team in this League is going to lay down and let you walk all over them. Once you've set the scene (so to speak) then you can play your game. It took us 10 games to realise that however! If only it was that simple! As for giving us a football lesson at St Mary's, that was last season mate. No way this time!
