I see there are a couple of Russell Martin fanboys, mainly on Twitter, who come out of the woodwork every time we lose berating Juric. It's almost as if some people would rather we lost to be proven correct. But it doesn't prove anyone right, Martin had to go, the football was terrible and we were uncompetitive. The squad isn't good enough, that is fundamentally the issue.

I want Flynn here, I think he can offer us something in midfield. Hopefully the issues can be resolved. Let's not be lazy and slag him off, he was so so good last season.

We beat Swansea 3-0 pretty easily. Sheff Utd were terrible last season and they are the best of last season's relegated teams. The Championship is shit, you could have the team picked by poll on SaintsWeb and we'd get top 6 very easily.

All of this is very disappointing. We're a better team with Downes in it, if he's unhappy he needs to grow up.

Sulemana and Dibling are impact players, neither good enough to start. Onuachu will put in a shift up front at the very least and gives us a presence, he needs to start.

Strange game, because for a large part we were absolutely dreadful. Midfield cut open, defensive gaps, misplaced passes, Ipswich looked quicker to everything. If you compare it to the Man Utd away performance, that was a miles better display. And yet... who the fuck cares, we won!! Absolute pandemonium in the away end!! If we can just combine the first 80 minutes against Man Utd, the second half from Forest and the opening 15 minutes to Newcastle, we should win 4-0.

Ever since the Brentford debacle we have looked at the least competitive. I think Ipswich away next week is going to be our best chance to get a win this season. We owe them one anyway

The game reminded of when we played Rotherham away last season, around the same time I think. We won 2-0 and we weren't brilliant and they weren't awful, but we were just better than them. Same as today basically, just beaten by a better team.
