If Adams isn't fit then he has to play surely
-
I'd be surprised tbh if relegation delayed it, loads of clubs in the Championship have it. It can't be that expensive surely.
-
Yeah agreed. That was a red flag for me.
-
Vieira for me. Think he would be have the reputation for some of our young players to consider staying in the Championship rather than jump shit ASAP.
-
If Adams isn't fit for Palace then he simply has to play. We need someone who can hold the ball up.
-
Exactly this. Our creativity in both games was non-existant.

As a STH, I've bought tickets for mates (neutrals) this season. If I wanted to, it would be very easy to get tickets for away fans in the home section. Think the real issue will be if it's a team say Bournemouth or Portsmouth where there is real animosity. I think part of the problem are the ticket prices and where we are in the league, which means more tickets are available for general sale than normal.

Sounds like it's all much ado about nothing. Why would we fork out so much money in January if there were financial problems? Nothing to worry about.

We absolutely have to win. Sadly given our manager's tendency to think too much about how to stop the opponent (and failing) rather than setting us up to hurt them, we may struggle here. Anything other than a win is a poor result. Let's attack, build up a decent lead, and then worry in the second half about keeping it tight. Selles though will make things too confusing and will try to be clever with the team selection and fucking this up, I can sense it.

I'm actually fairly optimistic, as long as we get the managerial appointment right. We have enough decent young players, even if we do sell some, that a season of them together winning most weeks, playing attractive, attacking football, could be a springboard for a successful Premier League campaign in 2024-25. It's not going to be all doom and gloom.

Michael Salisbury was the VAR, so no surprises, he's the worst referee in the league.
-
I don't think there will be more Saturday 3pms. Obviously we would be of the biggest teams in the league so expect plenty of our games to get moved to Friday night or Saturday lunchtime for TV
-
100% He is the problem.
-
Almost certainly. Which is OK as I'd rather we brought Sullemana on from the bench. Having said that though, won't Moi be fasting? Maybe Selles will drop him if he doesn't think he'll have the energy levels for the full 90.
-
Jones was an awful manager, make no mistake about it. Selles is better but not the long term option, he's just too defensive.
-
Tbh if we do go down, I'd want them to come up. Would give a bit of edge to next season. And it's been too long since we beat them in a league game.
-
If we set up against Palace like we did against West Ham I'll go balistic.
-
Given that we still have to play Bournemouth and Forest, yesterday's losses for them were perfect for us. Those are two teams we have to overhaul if we are to stay up, and if we beat them both we should do so. Leicester in big trouble too but I actually think Everton are more likely than them to go down.
-
The gap between the Premier League and Championship is wider than it was 26 years ago... Not that I want to go all MLG but if Bournemouth can bounce back, so can we. I'd compare us to Fulham when they went down, think we just need to get the managerial appointment correct.
-
Presumably you missed the last game before the international break...
-
If we do go down then a total reset is needed, starting with the manager. Vieira is a good shout, opportunity for him to rebuild his reputation. What would Selles do I wonder? I couldn't see him accepting what would effectively a demotion back to assistant manager, but then again, he'd be unlikely to get a decent managerial role.
-
The bottom half teams are awful. Honestly we could have Nathan Jones in charge of our Championship team and probably finish 6th. Only issue would be that we would be a big fish and teams would inevitably raise their game against us, a bit like us against Chelsea, Man Utd, Spurs etc.
-
The Championship as a division is shit. We would be absolutely fine.
-
Loads of midweek games as well tomorrow and Wednesday. We're likely to be at least 4 points from safety, Leeds v Forest will mean someone will pull away from us.
