  1. Below is the average number of points of the opposition each team has faced so far Manchester City 13.556 Aston Villa 13.444 Tottenham Hotspur 13.000 Burnley 12.556 Queens Park Rangers 12.556 Liverpool 12.556 Leicester City 12.444 Crystal Palace 12.222 Hull City 12.222 Newcastle United 12.222 Arsenal 12.111 Everton 11.889 Swansea City 11.778 Sunderland 11.667 West Ham United 11.667 Stoke City 11.556 West Bromwich Albion 11.556 Chelsea 11.444 Manchester United 11.333 Southampton 11.222 So it does confirm that we have had the easiest run in, but it's interesting to note that Man Utd have had it just as easy as us. Here's the average number of points of the opposition for each team's next 5 league games Queens Park Rangers 14.600 West Bromwich Albion 14.400 Sunderland 14.000 Tottenham Hotspur 13.400 Liverpool 12.400 Manchester United 12.400 Manchester City 12.200 Southampton 12.200 Arsenal 12.000 Everton 12.000 Aston Villa 11.800 Crystal Palace 11.800 Hull City 11.800 Swansea City 11.800 Leicester City 11.600 Stoke City 11.600 Burney 11.200 West Ham 10.600 Newcastle United 10.200 Chelsea 10.000 It'll be interesting to see how we fare in our next 5 games in comparison to Man City, who theoretically have the same level of difficulty in their next 5 matches as we do. Whereas Chelsea have it extremely easy in their next matches.
  2. POL still showing heavy signs of delusion
  3. I don't wish to make anyone feel old, but... Obligatory birth year page post.
  4. As it's the only competition in which we can possibly play them I hope they get two easy draws in the first two rounds of the Cup as they advance to the third round. If we can beat Sunderland 8-0, imagine just what we could do to them
  5. Can trousers make sure that he declares the match to be a guaranteed 0-0 at some point during the first 15 minutes? Thanks
  6. It's been a while since there's been a News live webchat, they always livened up a dull afternoon. Presumably they stopped when they realised most of the contributors were 'nutjobs'.

    Adkins

If our squad was so good, why were we in the relegation zone when Adkins took over? From there to 2nd place was a remarkable achievement, as was achieving 2nd place again the following season. Considering he was able to get a club like S****horpe promoted to the Championship, it clearly proves Adkins is a top manager. You really think Cortese would have hired him in the first place if he wasn't?

    Adkins

Reading has and always will be a graveyard for managers. Brendan Rodgers failed there and look where he is now. If dinosaurs like Pardew, Warnock, Redknapp etc. can get Premier League jobs than it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up there. A club like Palace would suit him.
  9. Means Awford is kept on as manager for the time being whilst the fighting with the board continues. Lovely jubbly
  10. To be fair, in addition to the 7 who joined new clubs, 2 players from last season's squad retired, and they also had 8 players in on loan in that squad. So in total, 17 players left the club in some form or another before their Ireland tour.
  11. Anyone got a gif of Poyet going nuts on the touchline?
  12. Easy one for the Northam to get going to
  13. ‘Thankfully, there is nothing wrong at the moment. I can honestly say there is no problem to deal with.'
  14. I like the Wales away one. I wonder if someone could do a mock up but with blue instead of the red trim
  15. Been having a gander on POL. They all seem quite depressed and unhappy at the 3-5-2 formation that Awford has been playing but there weren't too many calls for him to be sacked. Stumbled across a thread entitled 'Can PFC learn from them up the road?'. The OP was well-reasoned and I thought it would be a balanced thread but alas, it didn't take long (Post 2) for some Portsmyths to rear their heads They're definitely not bitter, nope not at all...
  16. Attendance was 5,853 For comparison, our attendance against Torquay in the same competition was 9,319 and the game against Swindon (the one after Pardew was fired) was 8,333
  17. Down to third. Koeman out, Les Reed out, meltdown is happening people.
  18. I will be booing him and none of you can stop me. I urge everyone to wave a white hankerchief at him as well.
  19. I'll never trust the Express again. They were the ones who told me!
  20. Having done a bit of digging she did in fact attend the first final at the new Wembley in 2007. But I don't think she's attended a final since. Anyone know why she didn't fancy seeing the skates and their bestest fans appear in the final?
  21. Am I right in saying 1976 was the last time the Queen attended the FA Cup Final and handed the winners the trophy?
  22. Tell that to West Brom
  23. There's only one Alderweireld, one Alderweireld, there's only one Alderweireld *clap clap clap* (we hate Pompey, we hate Pompey)
  24. We beat West Ham in the Championship when he was in charge back in 2011. Might be 13 years since the Premier League though
