Interesting about the keeper situation, their keeper Sa can't play out from the back (echos of McCarthy) and they don't rate Johnstone at all. Looks like we dodged a bullet on that one, thank fuck we managed to get Ramsdale. Ramsdale is a West Brom fan so he'll be up for this one

Hopefully with a win and clean sheet under our belts, we'll have a bit more confidence. We have lost every away game and put in some stinkers but reckon we'll be OK. Entertaining score draw.

This is an amusing watch. 46 mins for our goal

I don't think he's been that great this season but today he was phenomenal. Bazunu in goal and we lose that game, having a top keeper will make all the difference.

Knew there would be these types of moronic comments. So when we don't win it's always his fault, but when we do win he has nothing to do with it. Right.
-
Not our best performance of the season but we got the job done. Most importantly, maybe in the long run, for me it was keeping a clean sheet. We still need to improve but hopefully we go to Wolves (winless) with a bit of confidence and if we get something it'll be a good outcome.

He'll be brilliant for us next season in the Championship.
-
Performances have been better than that though, but yes if we don't win soon then he'll have to go.
-
Overall, that was really, really concerning. We were 2-0 and didn't really put any pressure on them, and then we collapsed. Again. After that we went through the motions, nearly conceded a calamitous goal and then out of nowhere got the winner. Defence is a mess. RM has to sort it out and quickly. I want him to stay but performances like that make it very hard to defend him, and make it very hard to not want a more defensive-minded coach to come in and shore things up.

Why doesn't Dibling count? Fernandes for me, he's been getting better since he first came in.

Liverpool at home as well next month, no trains at Southampton Central at all.
-
None of that is true. Pep said afterwards that they had to run a lot more than usual.
-
Martin doesn't have Ward-Prowse to bail us out
-
I see in his press conference, Pep said that RM shouldn't change anything and defended his stubborn game plan. Classic.
-
We need to shift the deadwood (good luck with that) before bringing anyone in.
-
ABK clearly doesn't want to play for us.
-
From memory, we did get a few decisions our way last season. The Armstrong double-touch penalty against Sunderland, and Plymouth had a goal at SMS wrongly ruled out for offside (and then we went up the other end and scored).
-
Man City winning 4-0 atm with pretty much their strongest team minus Ederson. We know Pep likes to rotate so maybe he'll change a few things for Saturday.
-
We'll see what the reaction is like on Saturday when he goes over before the game to clap the fans. Largely speaking I haven't seen anything directed towards him yet, I remember away at Middlesbrough (after 4 losses in a row) he was getting pelters
-
The only way we attract someone semi decent is if we have money to spend in January. Given that we have a bloated squad, we'll need a bit a wheeler dealer in charge. Anyone got any ideas? Heard there's someone available in Sandbanks

We'll win. Sparta Prague will cause them a few issues on Wednesday, we get to 0-0 at half time and then we unleash pure pace against their tiring defenders. Sulemana hat trick, Archer double and Jack Stephens will get in on the act, referee will blow for full time without any injury time to take pity on the hapless City players.
-
Skates already 2-0 down at Cardiff after 12 minutes lol. Please please please let us get them in the cup.
-
All well and good having a 10 year plan but on the flip side, if we were doing magically well, other teams would come knocking and let's be honest, Martin would leave in a heartbeat, as he did Swansea for us. We need a succession plan and hopefully there are managers we are talking to (via their agents) who we know are interested.
-
I want a manager who can not only get us promoted but keep us in the league. Ultimately if we do go down (and we haven't sacked Martin) then he shouldn't be here next season.
-
I remember the season we went down, think it was Michael Salisbury on VAR who ruled out a perfectly good goal we scored against Aston Villa, which we went on to lose. Definitely remember feeling cheated out of a win. Last season the worst ref we had by far was Stuart Atwell. Can't remember which game it was but he was awful all game. Some of the Champ refs I quite like, Sam Barrott and Sam Allison were very good. Anthony Taylor, just so inconsistent on Saturday, it ruins the game.
