Sunday 7pm kick off as well, just to make things even worse.
-
My biggest reason for not sacking Martin (up until now, it's obvious we need to make a change regardless) has been a lack of a viable replacement. It seems we either go from the Championship again (my pick would be Carrick) or we either go down the route of someone from Europe, someone unknown. Moyes/Potter wouldn't come here in a million years.
-
If they do like him, then they should support him better Our recruitment has been shit and it has been for ages.
-
It's time up now unfortunately. I really wanted him to succeed, and I expected us to be in a relegation battle anyway, but it's time to roll the dice. And now is the time to do it because we have a nice period before our next game; zero point in doing it afterwards when we have three games a week. However, we should only sack him if we have someone ready immediately. I've seen some people suggest Lallana as caretaker which is just absolutely fucking ludicrous.
-
I'll happily trust the opinion of an England centre back, he knows far more about the game than any of us.
-
Yup, completely agree. I think some are desperate for us to keep on losing so they can be proven right about RM, it's very sad. Bournemouth and Wolves were awful and that was on the manager. I'm not blaming RM for the Chelsea game at all, down to 10 men with a team full of players who didn't even play much last season. And before that we put in two decent performances against Liverpool and Brighton, where had the officials done their jobs properly, we could very easily be talking about 6 points instead of 1. If we put in the same level of performance tomorrow as we did last Friday, we have a chance. Villa may be too good for us but with THB, Downes and Dibling back, and hopefully Bednarek as well, I'm hopeful that maybe we can cause a surprise. And, unlike the muppet who suggested the away end boycotts the fixtures, I and the other away fans tomorrow will be full of optimism as we always are.

Brighton are a better team than them and we got something. Got to keep the faith
-
And yet if he came out and criticised the players, everyone would say he's throwing the players under the bus. Sometimes he can't win.
-
Well done on outing yourself as a moron
-
Well we didn't lose the game before this. Everyone was expecting us to get thrashed with all the players we have out and in the end we only got thrashed because we were down to 10 men. Think some perspective is needed. Some of the takes from so-called fans on here and particularly on Twitter is just ridiculous.
-
The team isn't good enough, let's be honest. Unless we have someone in ready to go immediately there's no point in sacking Martin.
-
No point reading anything into that game. We played alright before the sending off, and with our B team practically out. Stephens should have the captaincy stripped, pure stupidity from him and completely unprofessional. Hopefully on Saturday we get back to something similar to the Brighton team and we'll get something from Villa.

Old Trafford is always a popular one tbh, even though it's one of the worst grounds in the league, it is literally falling apart and the seats are very tight. Good atmosphere though, as you'd expect.

Saints vs Swansea - Sunday 12th January 1630
Pamplemousse replied to Football Special's topic in The Saints
Yup. Luckily, it's the League Cup semi finals the previous midweek, so the TV picks for the 3rd round will be made before the quarter final so that rules out any day before Saturday as we could in theory still be involved. However, there are Premier League midweek fixtures after, and we're on Thursday, so theoretically, they could move our match to a Monday night, as we're the only Prem team that can play on that day. Unless they choose a match with all EFL teams like Leeds v Harrogate for the Monday slot. Hopefully they'll consider the Swansea fans and pick a suitable weekend slot. -

S4C usually pick a game, the options are us v Swansea or Cardiff's game at Sheffield United, so it is possible the game gets moved for TV, just for anyone watching you'll have to watch it in Welsh -

Good chance of us getting the skates in Round 4 then -

The skates at home. If not, a lower league team away. -
Whilst the performances against Liverpool and Brighton have been better, given the players unavailable this seems like a tough ask. Having said that, I remember there have been games previously where it was makeshift and we ended up winning, so who knows, maybe by accident we stumble across a winning formula.
-
We literally turned it around last season...
-
The games are coming thick and fast now, can we finally get our first point away from home? Probably not. Away from home this season we've been particularly dreadful and I can't see how we get anything from this game. If it's a particularly bad defeat, can see the crowd finally turn vocally in large numbers against RM. Won't be a good look for SR, live to the entire nation. Clutching at straws but RM is from Brighton and so no doubt would love to manage them one day, so who knows maybe we're in for a surprise.

https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=356878.0 Just seen this. A respectful opening post about us -
We've probably already reached the point where sacking RM would be pointless because nobody better would want to come in.

That and whatever train disruption occurs because of this storm. It's going to be wet and windy in any case. Might suit us, who knows. -

Why does everyone keep banging on about ABK? A) he's not that great and b) he doesn't want to play for us, move on. -
Disagree RE Alcaraz. He was OK, but often went missing in games. Selling him in and bringing in Fernandes was definitely the right decision.
