  1. gutless should be 1 up at least by now, Stoke are rubbish
  2. Williams looks shocking today for Everton
  3. Can see Koeman putting in a in January bid based on Ashley William's performance today Vs Watford
  4. to be fair they are performing much better than we did yesterday at 3-1 down they never gave up and with the players they have compared to Liverpool's they have shown them up as they can be rattled if you get at them, Matip is a big miss in defence for them too as Lovren and Lucas will always be shaky under pressure I like the way Bompey play and it's a lesson for our players to emulate....
  5. Looks like our traditional xmas period slump has well and truly started early this season, some abject performances by most of our players out there today
  6. Let's see if the team can make Ron eat those words by the end of the season, if that's not motivation for the players to get into the top 6 at least I don't know what is, should be an interesting game when we play them at St Mary's on the 27th
  7. not got mine yet eithier, no great shakes as plenty of time left for them to post them out
  8. Tadic has had his face re-arranged while playing against Wales, kicked in the face by Gareth Bale, blood everywhere, thankfully looks like he's ok
  9. Hesketh had an amazing game tonight
  10. Van Dijk's reaction says all you need to know Seem's players are struggling to adapt to Puel's style of play Must be as frustrating for them trying to play it as it is for us watching it, when I was watching the game today i noticed Van Dijk looked a bit out of sorts even with Jose Fonte his CB partner at the back he was constantly covering for Fonte's and others mistakes as slow tempo possession football replaced the more direct fast and pressing football of the 3 previous seasons, the most frustrating thing is Claude Puel and Eric Black seem totally oblivious to the fact we can only play one formation (His) without any plan B, this might of worked in the French league but the Premier League is a different kettle of fish as i'm sure is is discovering, hope he and the players can turn it round and discover a winning formula but in this league time is not a manager's friend if you don't get results
  11. To watch a side with guts and determination switch on the hockey were winnning!!!
  12. Off to watch the womens olympic hockey......more chance of getting a result there
  13. He didn't have a plan against 10 men at home last Saturday, so away to Utd I don't expect him to have much of a plan there either
  14. Would be amazed if we won this one, It will be telling if Fonte plays or not against a side who want to sign him, Expect more Yoshida at the back, also hopefully Puel will see sense and play Pied at RB and Hojbjerg for the lightweight JWP I'm not convinced Puel has any tactics up his sleeve for dealing with them with the players we have as Koeman and Poch at least had a better squad and tactical ability to change when required, after what I witnessed today against Bompey they were bullied into a mauling much like we were against Watford 1st half, we couldn't even beat that 2nd rate side with 10 men and Puel didn't even change formation to exploit our extra man, so against a title contender, with star players wanting to impress for places in future matches and with the Pogba debut factor and in front of an expectant 80,000 home crowd i'm expecting at least a 3-0 loss It's gonna be a long season folks without any quality in the side in key areas we have lost......just look at Mane and the others we sold today for a glimpse of that quality
  15. Don't know about you but I fell asleep watching that interview, he doesn't come across as Mr Motivator does he? seemed to be totally underwhelmed. Really drab much like our transfers will be this season no doubt based on what has happened thus far with out 2 beat players sold before he's through the door. Cash in to line Fat Kat's pockets and dross purchased with the change and then we try and turn a sow's ear into a silk purse as usual a plan which has worked for the last 2 seasons I grant you but this season will be tougher. Expecting Puel to leave after 3 years to Arsenal as Wenger's replacement if he does as well as Koeman or Poch if not sacked for relegating us back to the championship, guess time will tell
  16. Were gonna come unstuck this coming season as our transfer policy sucks. We got away with it for the last 2 seasons but our arrogance could be our undoing this time. Selling your best player before a new manager is even through the door regardless of the price even £34M is cheap when Sterling was £50M and Mane is far better than him. and as for our only new signing Redmond as a Mane replacement....... i don't think so, its a joke. I can see Forster and Virgil going next season or even before in January if the right offer comes in, whoever the manager is he has one hell of a job to build a new team If this pattern carries on season after season we will see no improvement in the squad as all players and managers we get seem to use us as a stepping stone to larger clubs and better wages, will struggle to compete with the top half teams and could even battle against relegation if we don't get the quality in the team right. Hope the board recognise this and we get a manager in who will stay for the long term and sign players who want to play for Southampton for the long term too otherwise fans will vote with their feet.
  17. I'm very skeptical about this signing as there was a reason Norwich were relegated in the first place and he was a part of that failure from what I remember some of his performances in the run it were very lacking Also like the majority of signings made over the past few years, even though he has signed a 5 year deal am I the only one who thinks he will use us as a stepping stone for a move to a bigger club later I quote one of his statements made after signing yesterday "When Southampton said they were interested, it felt like the right move for me. I can develop my game here." As he is part of the England U21 setup there is a strong possibility given his age he will break into the 1st team squad in the coming years when that happens we generally sell the player (eg Clyne, Lallana) He will need to convince me that he really is up to the task as he will surely be the replacement for Mane when he inevitably leaves in the near future, so he has a huge job on his hands to emulate Mane's drive and determination. It will be interesting to see what Manager we get in (looks like it will be Claude Puel) and what other signings he will attract to plug the gaps made by players our best players being sold, if it is Indeed Puel i'm not sure this will attract the same quality player we would of signed if Koeman had still been here.
  18. If he doesn't like it, he can F**k off too
  19. Could happen to a nicer fella http://s32.postimg.org/dnmghaemd/89735232_dejan_lovren_rex.jpg
  20. Cuco having a mare out there today can't even keep a simple received pass in play
  21. Class player just what we needed.....hopefully a sign that Ron is staying too
  22. Didn't say it was Europa league at the time it was 1st reported soz....... so looks more like a player euro ban now
  23. Don't think it matters if they were doing the doping does it, he was playing for them and had an influential role in some of there recent games when he should not of been playing, Liverpool now have acknowledged this by dropping him from future matches. UEFA should if proven guilty at very least consider some sort of sanction against the club, i'm sure all those teams including us who are chasing European football next season will be looking at that. Looks bad for them in UEFA cup too, most probably be hit with a large fine though
  24. Will be interesting to see if Liverpool will be docked points for this if proven http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36120459
  25. game over for us Liverpool will score a hatfull tonight with that defending
