Thank you for posting that. That interview has really made my day and reminded how far they have fallen and how far we have come. If they had folded I would not have the pleasure of listening radio comedy gold like that. I'm glad they didn't restart afresh. This is torture for them, a long slow painful car crash. I wouldn't change this for anything and as such I will would like to say thank you to - to Portsmouth Football Club to Peter Storrie, David Lumpitt, The Fake Sheikh, The Fat Arab, Gaydamak Snr, Gaydamak Jnr, Bellend Chainrai, The Dodgy Russian, Andrew the Android & The Fans 'Share' Scheme to Harry Redknapp, The Prossie stalker, The Clott, Voldermort, Wittingham, Awful Andy to Fratton Fat Pipes, Neil Allen & TCWTB to Kanu, Sol Campbell & any other player that bled them dry to Aldershot Town to eveyone that has posted on this thread and finally to Fitzhurgh Fella for starting this thread. THANKS!!!

Probably the use of the word 'yid'. Some do deem the word offensive.

Let shut them up! and shout from the rooftops!

The Southampton Australian Supporters link didn't work (there's a /pages that needs to be removed). Here it is - AUSTRALIA FACEBOOK: Southampton Australian Supporters -
I agree, just wish the mods would put this picture on the banner......

That still makes me

Not a bad window by all accounts on the whole. Given we lost Lambert, Lallana, Lovren, Shaw and Chambers (and Gaston for a year) I think we have replaced well and after the latest two, probably creating a stronger squad overall. What could have been a disaster has turned out well and I think a lot of credit needs to go to the management (Les, Ralph, Kat & RK) who were left a c*** hand to play with after MoPo went and the others being tapped up.

Gaston Ramiez to Hull on Season Long Loan - Official

Do we know if there is a recall clause in the loan agreement? -
Gaston Ramiez to Hull on Season Long Loan - Official

TBH I'm gutted but get the move. Whilst he's not lived up to the hype when we bought him, I've seen enough of him to suggest he's got the tools, just needs to know how to use them in different circumstances. I was really thought this season was going to be the one where he shone. I really hope he shines at Hull with regular game time, if he does we'll either cash in or he returns a better player and can benefit us. -
I've tried to look into it but can't find anything about his nationality other than Senegalese so would think he does need one (unless that was the delay in announcing his signing). Where's MLG when you need him.
-
Probably the case, but they may also hold off announcing something done in the day as other deals are in the pipeline (eg Gaston to Hull) and may increase our bargaining hand to appear that the deal isn't closed.

Danny Welbeck - Told he can leave.. Only for mid table club
St Jim replied to SaintLondon's topic in The Saints
Ever thought it may be because he doesn't fit their system and the don't want to offload him to a top 6\7 team that will be competing directly with Utd because they do actually rate him to some extent? -

So you're saying he played in most of the league games the season they won the title. Ever thought that he may actually contribute more to the team than just goals? Not every forwards job is to score but for some reason some people only ever judge on a goals per game. -
Problem is it has to be in Levy's opinion and we all know what Levy's expectation is a lot higher than most. If Spuds are not in the top 4/5 by Christmas, there'll be a lot of pressure on MoPo, but when you consider the other teams - Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton will be there or there abouts, I think it could well be a tough season for them. (yes I've put Man Utd on that list. Regardless of the fact they are a shadow of their former selves, they'll still be up in the top 6).
-
Don't worry about him being tapped up, MoPo will be sacked before JayRod is fit again.
-
Is Harrison comfortable with you naming him?
-
All the talk of Lallana getting on the Legends banner last season seems all very silly now. Marian though I think warrants a place. The second he joined us he lived and breathed the club and was a legend on the pitch. Every time I see his two goals (the second against Everton and the on against Skates) it gives me goosebumps. Great player, great guy (from what I can establish) and IMO a legend.
-
He needs to man up and face the competition head in. If he believes in himself that he should have that #1 spot he should work to prove RK & DW wrong on the training pitch. Jesus, players are f_ing soft these days.
-
On the face of it I agree that he's not worth 12m as an individual player but he may be worth more than that depending what he brings to the team. If I take Ormerod as an example I'd say his worth to what he gave to the team was a lot more than his worth as an individual player
-
2 words ......... Rickie Lambert
-
If reported correctly, a £12m deal may be the reason.
-
Exactly, and no-one knows how the deal will be structured.
-
But many naysayers on here believe we will be in a relegation battle
-
Sure there are 'better' forwards out there for 12m but and certainly players with a better scoring ratio but I doubt we're interested in him just to score goals. We're probably interested in him for certain attributes he possesses and he'll probably be our workhorse for Pelle (different type, but the role Ormerod played for Beattie), a role a lot of these 'better' players can't play. I think 12m is overpriced but until we know the structure of the deal we can't judge if it is good business.
-
4 goals in 15 league appearences - no worse than Osvaldo tbh. Before we get caught up in the headline fee we have no idea how it would be structured. Could well be a very small amount upfront and rest on appearances, goals, years at the club etc. Also I recall there was a lot of people praising Hull last year for this signing, saying it was good business, why is he suddenly sh17 now?
-
Name me one 17 year old that can play with the composure, technique and maturity in their Premier League debut against the reigning champions, that he showed against Man City. He's an amazing talent and prospect but has to continue to progress to fulfill his potential.
