Don't forget if we were asked yo step in, there's Wales & Scotland which has stadiums that could be used. Also if another country is asked to step in, in an emergency, the facility requirements for hosting would no doubt be reviewed depending on time left. IMO England could quite easily host if required at short notice, particularly with the assistance of its immediate neighbours.

To be honest I thought Pearson handled it well. The reporter wasn't sticking up for a colleague, the way he went on and on he was just trying to get Pearson to react grab another headline but Pearson refused to be drawn into an argument or a rant. The media don't give a toss about anyone else but themselves and whilst I think Pearson went too far with his osterich press conference there was an element that the press need to be put back in their box every now and then. Here in Oz there's an Aussie Rules coach with a similar reputation with the press - it's great to watch. As for bullying? don't make me laugh. I don't see the issue with the tackle (if at all it can be called a tackle, more of a pass with a follow through) Barnes was the one in possession and he had played the ball. The ball was not Matic's at any point and so I don't see how this can be spoken of as a tackle. OK he followed through but he body was moving forward so there would be momentum and Matic plants his leg in an unfortunate position. I've seen players follow through on a pass many times before and I certianly don't think any of us can be sure of Barnes' intent. IMO it's just an unlucky event. The media are all making a meal of it and unfortunatley I think it's swaying people's opinion.

What, that Ralf and co. have worked hard to repair the damage caused by Nicola and that both parties came to an agreement to see out the remainder of the contract and that we may be with Adidas next year or we may be not?
