  1. You have to admire PFC for their cunning and their balls to try anything to bypass, exploit loopholes in and sidstep the rules and regulations being imposed on them. Think that'll be yet another email to the FL and most likely yet antother standard response me thinks!
  2. Skates this is a crisis. A large crisis. In fact, if you've got a moment, it's a twelve-storey crisis with a magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24-hour porterage and an enormous sign on the roof, saying 'This Is a Large Crisis'. A large crisis requires a large plan. Get me two potential dumb buyers and a pair of administrators!
  3. A couple of promising ones who would do well in league one as well.
  4. Well who ever ends up unfortunate enough to own p****y will have to pass the FFPT and I have just had a sneak peek at the one that any prospective owner will have to take. I think this will put the PST out of contention -
  5. so you're a poster titled 'ST'............can't think how they worked it out!
  6. If Carlsberg did summaries..........
  7. He got his first sentence right!
  8. Great finish by Cav and great lead out by Wiggins & Boassan-Hagen. No other sprinter can touch him when he's got his tail up - absolute legend! This tour could not have gone better for British cycling - 7 stage wins, yellow jersey, 2nd in the GC, and a win on the Champs-Elysees............ and it was a British team for all of those achievements except 1 of the stage win!
  9. He's right though, I can't comprehend how any employe can sleep well at night after not being paid most of their wages then being hounded out of their employment.
  10. That ride ........ wow ..... just wow!
  11. Because tour etiquette dictates the yellow jersey is not challenged on the final stage.
  12. If I were one of the players, after the treatment they've received from the fans and the club I'd want to stay, quite simply to give them the F*** You! I just have this funny feeling that I'll be waking up one morning in the next few days hankering for some nicely browned bread.
  13. For all we know he may have with Froome deciding to help out Wiggo.
  14. What a ride by Froome & Wiggins! Nuts but real class!
  15. They've conditionally signed him ...... one small stumbling block is the condition....that the transfer embargo is lifted. Just a small issue.
  16. That stage was on a par with stage 7 where the sky team destroyed the field on the Cat 1 climb up to La Planche des Belles Filles. Super ride again by the Sky team, particularly Wiggins & Froome (although I thought Froome looked completely shot in the last 200m heading up the Col de Peyresourde when Wiggins lead the chase after Nibali tried to attack again) Voeckler was great to watch and like last year he's becoming the 'story fo the tour'. I have to agree with OTH. For me it's the one event of the year I get really excited, stay up and watch every stage (they finish about 1am Oz time), even more so than the Euro's (I only stayed up for the England games and even then I was questioning why). For me the only other events I put close are the Tour Down Under (mickey mouse even compared to Le Tour but I love it because it's local and always go through the village I live in), World Cup and the Rugby World Cup. Today's stage should be another gem, particularly with the Cat 1 hill top finish and Port de Bales climb.
  17. Just been walking to work after parking my car up in the city this morning (8am), and started following behind two guys. Now these two guys were the type of people many would cross the road to avoid. They were in normal clothes (15 yr old style trackie tops and jeans) that looked like they had just been slept in......for the past few months (you know with that tramp like brown tinge to them), had an aroma that suggests that their water bill will be minimal, were slurring their words, were talking to themselves (yes there were two of them and yes they were chatting but no converstion, they were definately talking to themselves) and one had a tattoo of a spider's web (from what I could make out from beneath the dirt) covering half his face. The only thing that defined them from tramps or pikies was that they exited from a house. Anyway as I approached the tattoed guy I noted he was wearing a beanie with a crest on it............yup you guessed it a blue crest with star & crescent in it. This is my morning walk to work........in Adelaide 10,133.5 miles away. It doesn't matter where you are in the world they are all the same! You can take a Skate out of Portsea Island but you can't take the Portsea Island out of a Skate!!
  18. http://newsthump.com/2012/07/14/i-cant-be-a-racist-because-some-of-my-best-friends-are-fing-black-cts-insists-john-terry/
  19. P****y to start next season's League 1 campaign in League 2........ http://newsthump.com/2012/07/13/portsmouth-to-start-next-seasons-league-one-campaign-in-league-two/
  20. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_Rodgers Seems like a nice chap. I suppose this puts a whole new angle on Pompey being "community" club of the year.... He'll have no problems settling into his life on Portsea Island then
  21. Yes but a successful outcome of the period of administration for them is, well, still being in administration. The other outcome option is Liquidation
  22. Which is in turn racist towards white people because, as you say, it is regarded as insult to suggest that one black person is less black (i.e. more white) than another. What is wrong with being white? To be honest I actually couldn't give a to55 about it it's just that if a white person made a similar comment all hell would break loose. In addition I find it very hypocritical for Ferdinand to make/retweet (it doesn't matter either way) the comments which I believe can be construed as racist, yet in the same breath he's complaining about John Terry. If a choc-ice is meant to be black on the outside white on the inside, what would Michael Jackson be called?
  23. Can someone explain to me how a footballer such as Rio F can complain about what JT said to his brother, complaining about the racism, yet call another person a choc-ice. Calling someone a choc-ice is racist towards white people as when used in a derogitoray context the meaning that it's not good to be white on the inside (what ever the f** that is meant to mean - I thought we were all f***ing humans and equal!) I have come to the conclusion that there are too many footballers who are simpley cv-nt5!
  24. Count me in for 13 Aug. 13 was my lucky number but now it's my wedding anniversary.
