I don't recall Cortese ever being a tank driver
-
This lad has scored over a 3rd of P****y's league goals this season with a conversion rate of 9 in 19, is their leading scorer and has scored 3 times as many as the next player. By all accounts pretty good going and is on track to scoring over 20 in the whole season. If they think he's useless god help the rest of the team.
-
-10 points? Who needs -10 points. They're managing relegation all by themselves without the assistance of the FL and I'm now starting to think the FL should 'postpone' the -10 points until next season in League 2
-
Hartlepool now losing. Which tbh I prefer as Oldham are relegation rivals for Skates so if they win it makes it harder for our fishy friends.
-
I think he'd be great for us. I still think he has abit to offer on the pitch and would have a big influence amongst the playing group but more than anything the money and interest he'd generate for the club could be huge.
-
I too would love it if he comes to the A-League, obviously I'd prefer it if he came to Adelaide United but any A-League club will do

Ah, the magical Portmouth School of Mathematics & Logic strikes again (that said I did study Maths at Uni of Portsmouth......now I work in banking - enough said!)

Davis games - Man C, Wigan, Arsenal, Man Ure Boruc games - Spurs, West Ham, Gazza games - Villa, Everton, Fulham, West Brom, Swansea, QPR I don't think your stats tell a full picture. Gazza's games have been arguably easier, Boruc has only played 2 games so one blow out and his stats are scewed and Davis has had the hardest games.

Exactly, per my last post - "I am secured, I will get my money back"
-
Lets not forget the line "I am secured, I will get my money back". He's hung around this long, Chinny won't lie down on this until he feels he has raped am much money as he can get our of the carcas. Even if the courts decide that the ground valuation is less than 3m I think there is more to come from Agent Chinny some way or another.

Has the Portsmyth Accounting Standards ever made sense?

I have 3 kids and just one train set and even then it always ends in tears.

This for me is one of the most relevant statements. If there are underlying differences between the members of the trust and the HNW individuals how long do we give it before the infighting starts and the trust starts to unravel?

Love this quote -

Boruc for me. He's good all round and his experience playing at the top level (International, SPL & most recently Serie A) is a much needed requirement for our team. He is also very vocal and tries to organise the defence which again is very much needed.
-
Can't believe he's not been mentioned yet (apologies if it has, I couldn't see a mention of him) but our record signing for 11 years - Rory Delap. for 4m in 2001 I expected something special from him. I'd seen him score soem great goals for Derby yet he dons the red & white and turns to sh1t3. Record waste of money!
-
How vocal is he on the pitch? I think we need someone to be vocal, organise and lead the defence.

Just seeking clarity , after all Ian Atkins would actually suit the current skate standard and club size looking at his previous clubs - 1990–1991 Colchester United[3] 1992–1993 Cambridge United[3] 1993–1994 Doncaster Rovers 1994–1999 Northampton Town 2000 Chester City 2000–2001 Carlisle United 2001–2004 Oxford United 2004–2005 Bristol Rovers 2006 Torquay United

What does the appointment say about Blackpool's ambition (or more relevent, their finances) by taking on Appleton? I would expect they would be looking at challenging for play offs yet Appleton, with probably one of the highest paid sqauds in their relevant leagues has been relegated once and lies ony a few points relegation in his second season. Not exactly promotion material.
-
Who? I Assume you mean Ian Atkins.

My Grandfather was a Bees fan and a good mate of mine is a Bees fan. I've always had a soft spot for Brentford....even more so now!
-
Adelaide United but have a big soft spot for Wycombe Wanderers as they were my local team for many years. Went to see them play when non-league when they played at Loakes Park with the sloping pitch and saw them promoted to the FL under Martin O'Neil.

Looking at our performance in isolation...
St Jim replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Yes yes yes, we get it from your other thread that you started just a few hours previously that you are anti Adkins but do we really need a new thread for each angle of your anti Adkins rethoric? -
Obviously not on Portsea Island!

Absolutely f***ing disgraceful scenes. Lets hope UEFA grow a pair. I think Pearce should have taken the players from the pitch long before the game finished for either the missiles all the players endured and also the racism.
