I think West Ham have embarrassed themselves over this. The red card was always going to stand one the initial appeal failed. They would have hot more support publicly by accepting the decision but campaigning to the FA regarding Flores play acting.

Signed. Back in the day used to have a soft spot for Cov after dating a Cov City fan and living in Canley for a year or so. Good luck!

Rules of the game state: A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: • kicks or attempts to kick an opponent • trips or attempts to trip an opponent • jumps at an opponent • charges an opponent • strikes or attempts to strike an opponent • pushes an opponent • tackles an opponent OK, say he won the ball, that would mean that he did tackle Gaston, but I would argue that the tackle was careless tackle because he followed through causing his foot to connect with Gaston's ankle and injuring him (even you comment his follow through was bad. if you tackle in a way that the follow through is bad then it is a careless tackle). I even think that there is an argument that his tackle was reckless and using excessive force (you say yourself that the tackle was strong and OTT). I can not see how Brown's tackle was not a foul. Winning the ball has virtually f-all to do with whether a tackle can be a foul or not.

Thats my point, it didn't say or allude that we are or are not for sale so for people to draw definitive cinclusions based on it is ridiculous. It can be taken that we will be for sale as much as it can be taken that we are not. We'll have to wait until the end of the season before we really have any clue as to what direction Kat wants to take.

That should give some people on here some perspective.

Yes but he may have f-d up his chances of giong to Brazil

Have to admit I haven't seen the challenge from Rose and my comment was more in general terms and relation to your remark on the brown tackle.

Winning the ball does not mean it's not a foul.

If it's a loan move until the end of the season, Dani to Juve and Vucinic to us, I see a lot of merit in it. Vicinic is obviously a quialty player and if it's only until the end of the season when we sell Dani for the reported 10m it will buy us time to assess who we want to replace him permanently. If it's a permanent swap deal (depending on if there's any cash moving as well) I have reservations due to his age. I think we need to be looking at players who have some development in them for a permanent move. IMO Could be a very good move but only on a loan deal!

B0110x, If he touches the player in a way that impedes the attacking player (let alone seriously injuring the player), even if the he touches the ball first, the tackle is careless and therefore (per the rules of the game) warrants a free kick.

Sorry if this has alredy been covered, havent got time to read all the posts. I can't believe this discussion is still going on. It was a foul regardless of what pundits think (many pundits still think that if the ball is touched by the defending player then it's not a foul, which is factually incorrect). Given the rules state Brown did tackle Ramirez (I still don't think he got the ball but that's beside the point) but in doing so he took out Ramirez ankle which at the minimum is careless (if he wasnt careless he wouldn't have touched Ramirez) and constitutes a foul. The severity of the tackle is of opinion (whether it's careless, reckless or using excessive force). IMO it was just reckless but I certainty think there's a last man issue to consider which I would argue could have given the ref cause to send Brown off.

CORTESE - a personal and factual view of why Ms Liebherr was right.
St Jim replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
It's a good article and if it is true what has been reported then we'd be better off without cortese. That said, this is just one side of it and no one here knows what has really gone on between Kat & Nic. I think that we need to move on and hope the a top CEO is appointed. -
Welcome to Adelaide in January

I took my lad (who was 5 but nearly 6) to the Sunderland home game this season in the family enclosure (recommend the family enclosure!), he loved it but was very tired in the second half . Have also taken him on a couple of occasions to see my local team, Adelaide United. Also took him and my youngest lad (who was 3 but nearly 4) to the England qualifier against Moldova, although were were with my brother-in-law and my nephew's (aged 7 & 11) and having aother older kids there helped. My experience is that there's no issues taking a 4year old, they will enjoy it (especially if there are goals) but there will be moments of them being bored and be prepared to leave early of your lad get's tired. Good luck with it an hope he enjoys the game.

Surrounded by vineyards in sunny McLaren Vale, South Australia.

But he's playing against some average players. Against international players (as he'd face in the Prem) he's scored only 3 in 11.

The only true Saints legend since MLT imo is Markus.
