  1. Woops
  2. You know when England take your players seriosuly when the England manager or his asssistanst are watching most/all of your games. Lambert for me reminds me of Sherringham and can play that role for England. He is the perfect number 10.
  3. Great result! Does this mean we can now close down the "One win against top 10 sides ALL SEASON" thread?
  4. Love it. Just love the opening to it...."it's like Southampton didn't even lube up beforehand" love it!
  5. But they dont wear it in the English league. The Ajax style (including the reverse a la the Rank Xerox style) a sash and even halves are either unique or rare in the English league and are unique in the epl. Stripes however are worn by many.
  6. Quite like the halves. The Rank Xerox, sash or halves for me. Each would be unique and make us stand out.
  7. I did hear old Saggy chops could be shown the exit soon. A return to his spiritual home? Carlsberg don't dish out justice but if they did......
  8. Does anyone still think they have got away with it? This is the best I could have hoped for and I hope the comedy continues.
  9. Definately Hats off to Martinez but one word ....... Lukaku. He has been such a key player for them. It's amazing the difference he has made to Everton this year and WBA last year. If Chelsea want Shaw I'd try and negotiate a swap with Lukaku.
  10. Don't buy those percentage stats. I recall a lot were saying 8th-10th but that's beside the point. Assuming your stat are correct, are people not allowed to change their expectation throughout the season. At the beginning of the season I was more optimistic than 9th (I expected 8th) but circumstances changed (Osvaldo was a disaster who we lost for half a season and injuries to key players are critical times, uncertanty on the board, media reports of players and manager walking after Cortese left) so 9th is a pretty good finish, especially considering where we were last season. I think regardless of the expectations from the start of the season, most of us would be happy with progress we've made from last season to this and there's a lot of promise for next season.
  11. Nothing to do with me, not mine, found it scouring the net - http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?41881-Pointless-Early-2013-14-Kit-Speculation-Thread/page15#.UytLV705dAg
  12. It's not a cup, it has a Pompey badge on it, it's a mug.
  13. Like a lot of ohters on here, for me I can't go past this - Is there anyone out there who doesn't like it?
  14. Id take a deal that involved Lukaku coming our way
  15. Would rather have Nicklas Bendtner than Nicholas Anelka. He's actually got a very impressive international goal scoring record and bags goals against top teams (Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Italy) in an average side. Only issue is that he's mad as a hatter.
  16. In short, no. We couldn't beat Sunderland. People need to get over it.
  17. Seriously, get over it. We lost, it happens.
  18. Good f***ing grief Trousers, where do you find them from? I assume the nappy he is wearing is for when he wet himself after they survive relegation.
  19. Just seen this ....... a day in the life of the #factless one http://m.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/video-exeter-video-diary-1-5875813
  20. Thanks Saint in Paradise, you've just reminded my why I can't do maths - I studied it ad Portsmouth Uni
  21. ha ha worse than the fact I studied maths at uni and didn't pick up on that, was the fact I took what was written by a skate as gospel! for me
  22. I certainly wasn't comfortable watching it (made my stomach turn) and I really don't understand why, but lets not forget that it wasstandard working conditions for some not so long ago......
  23. I'm not even sure what point they are trying to make here. 1/5 empty for one game (our lowest league attendance of teh season) comparing against their average attendance which is over 1/4 empty. No matter how you look at the numbers they don't compare (we have a higher average attendance than them, we have a higher percentage of capacity attendance (73% for them, over 90% for us); we actually sell out games, they don't; their games are cheaper to watch than ours; we averaged 30% higher crowds than them now starting on -10 points in league one) I bet all the inbred locals lap up these myths! I'll put money on next season them averaging around 11k
  24. Phew! That's put my mind at rest.
  25. All this is missing now is the old dear on the mobility scooter.
