Please no McQueen he is dreadful and has no pace, at least Targett has some pace, 352 again, Van Dijk back in if he's committed, Ideally I would love to see the below starting lineup. FF Van Dijk Yoshi Hoedt JWP Lemina Romeu Targett Boufal Austin Gabba

Southampton Legend, I loved it when he was back for SKDs testimonial match.
-
Redmond clearly dissed MP by covering his mouth, I suspect his words was not as nice i played how my manager asked me too. I dislike Redmond for his attitude, he's been crap 70% of his career with us, he moans and doesn't have the work rate I would expect from someone having a bad game bar Wednesday night. However I hope Redmond has gained some confidence and worked hard this week, we need him to be on form this Sunday, Austin and or Gabba need the midfielders to supply them, he has a crucial role to play, Boufal Tadic and Redmond will all probably start this weekend.

Meh losing to the best side the premier league has seen, can't complain. Positives are Romeu Lemina and PH look good, rotation between them will be key to protecting the back 4, Forster had a better game. Negatives are Redmond is clearly crap and miss placing passes as always, Long okay unlucky tonight but decision making has been poor, time for Austin and Gabba to rotate the starting role.

If rumours were true that I was told then YES !! He apparently told Les match what EFC are offering and I will stay as I am ambitious, we didn't so he left.
-
Needs to spend some Doh in Jan, if he wants to have good return on his investment they better buy or loan a keeper, and spend 20-25 mill on a winger who can create some chances for Austin and Gabba.
-
Out, bad decisions on squad ratings and thinking he is a hero after not selling Van Dijk after years of telling us no one is leaving. Didn't offer Koeman the money he wanted with the transfer budget he wanted, I fully belive Koeman if demands were met he would of had us top 6 again last season, which i am led to believe was matching wages EFC were offering along with keeping players and 50-60 million on players.

Some of our fan base really do not have any coaching or footballing experience, this is not all on Pellegrino, its the players like Tadic and Redmond not creating chances, back him in Jan with a quality winger and keeper and we will win more then we lose. Tell me if Foster does not make the mistakes he has and Tadic and Redmond pick out Gabbas runs we do not have 6-7 more points. He has to play Austin a bit more in these tough games as well.
-
Austin is that guy, but he has hardly started any games. Austin and Gabba upfront next game, we have no decent wingers and thats the problem with creating chances for any of the strikers. Personally would go 352, Austin having the balls whipped in by Cedric and Bertrand rather then Tadic and Redmond. Also lets not forget Forster was at fault again and that creates extra pressure at home as teams like Burnley then sit on that 1-0.

If we sack MoPo, then I would like Adkins back until the end of the season, however I do not want MoPo gone, its the fact the squad is not good enough. We need a winger maybe 2, we need a new GK as Forster again today cost us, I think MoPo is doing the best he can with Tadic Redmond and Boufal, they have no competition really.
-
Poor recruitment and the players, Thinking Redmond would be the next Mane is a prime example and he does not help himself by thinking he's a top class player, MP plays two strikers when he needs too and tries to play attacking football. Lemina and Gabbi are great signings but lack of creative players mean Lemina is getting more attention. We need to sign one or two more consistent wide players with pace.
-
Les Read is the one who needs to go, guy knows nothing if he thinks Redmond Tadic and Boufal is good enough to go into the season with and maintain a 8th place finish, they are all too inconsistent and can't supply the strikers enough.
-
I am not Redmonds biggest fan but he did really well last season from Dec/Jan until April, had a good spell and if I remember right he did the same at Norwich, I think with Redmond talent is there but he's too inconsistent and thinks he's better then what he is, sadly Tadic Boufal are also too inconsistent, his pace keeps him in the team as Tadic, Davis and JWP do not have that rapid pace.
-
Lemina was MOM followed by Forster. Bar maybe Redmond I think everyone played solid.
-
Yoshi in for Stephens is a great move, Van Dijk and Hoedt will be the starting CBs soon. Austin not in the squad is shocking, he is the best finisher at the club and personally I would of dropped Tadic and had Austin in with Long, and on Tadic another poor performance and he has to be dropped, been dreadful bar Swansea at home.
-
Makes me laugh only reason people think players like JWP are good and is forced to play from Les is because he's from the academy, the managers I believe are told to start 2-3 academy players a week.
-
Puel fell out with players as well which led to his sacking. MP throws on 2 strikers when we need a goal, Puel would never do that, its clearly the players and the fact people are quick to overate them. Tadic, JWP, Boufal and Redmond are so inconsistent, players like McQueen is not good enough and somehow makes the bench, Stephens is decent but if you wanna finish top half not sure he's a regular starter for a team wanting 8th or 9th place, Forster has been awful at times and again overrated and inconsistent. Next week we need to change formation and players and I would review MP after 10-12 games not 5.
-
**** game, **** attacking wingers, **** defending for both goals, FF could maybe have done better with the first. Lets go 442 or something next week and play Long and Austin up top with Gabba off the bench, have Lemina starting and try something new, I really feel sorry for MP he is trying to get his style across and he goes for it when we are losing by chucking on his attacking options and we still can't do ****.
-
Stephens has to accept he is not good enough to start for a team who's aim is top 8, Van Dijk is a world class player and I am playing him over Stephens every day of the week, Stephens proved he's a good CB but he's not in the same class as others at the club, he was awful vs Wolves ( as was many), he was not that great vs Swansea or West Ham either both him and Yoshida yet again marking no one when Abrahams had a free header, reactions to the 2nd goal vs West Ham was slow. I could be a tad harsh but Fonte, Toby and Van Dijk has given me high standards to expect from my CBs.
-
I feel for him I wouldn't be able to handle losing one of my children either, I wondered why he moved on to a 2nd division us team which I can only assume is league two standard at best.
-
I think Austin and Gabba should start along with Redmond if they can somehow get that to work, Austin offers great hold up play and has the best shooting in the team and Gabba can finish well and not too slow, Redmond has the pace and will get chances but just lacks a bit of consistency. Boufal needs to have a run in the team to see if we should cut our losses on him, if so sell or loan him in Jan and by then Sims will be fit and I would play him regularly for the rest of the season and see if he's worth having as a 1st team regular for the following season.
-
Tonight proved my points I have mentioned so many times on this board, Stephens and McQueen are over rated and not good enough, we need to loan them out asap and let them get better or move on, HOW MANY times does Stephens let us down from marking or following his man, he's terrible at it, McQueen is too slow and gets rinsed at LB. Not saying they were the worse players tonight, but they wasn't the best.
-
I am glad we are looking into CBs, just hope one gets signed before the window or we convince VVD to stay and play, we have a great chance to start the season well, I think HTFC are due a defeat and crash down to earth and we can provide that for them, we just need another CB for when we play top 10 teams to help tighten the ship, Forster may have been at fault for the first goal but 2nd was poor defending in build up and reactions.

SportsMania is working fine if you use a VPN, just annoying it's 9 dollars a month for a VPN and then 50 a year for SM, which is still good but not as cost effective as it once was.
-
Today again showed lack of leadership at times in defence from Stephens and Yoshi, both played well in patches but both have a mistake or miss reading of the game in them, if we can't convince Van Dijk to stay after today then I think its time to sell and move on from him, I think under Pellegrino with Van Dijk we can finish 8th again and have another cup run, but with more total points and more attacking or attractive football.
