I vist barca every year and try to watch a game, now i have only heard good things about this guy, him tello and thigao are all b players pep felt could make the step up and was going to loan both tello and fontas out, last season and promote thigao up full time, the later he did and tello ended up getting 1st team appearances. I think were get him on loan with a option to sign, but personally if he plays a 30 plus games for us he would show hes a top class CB.

Have to agree, but i feel NA is very loyal and wont replace davis yet or fox, i can see him signing a CB and replacing fonte and also a winger better then guly, i think hes gone into this season wanting 433 hoping we would have phillips and rameriez, as that system will work when them 2 are in your team with a striker like Lambo or Jay Rod.

Now i have thought about it without the bad looser head on, to be honest yes were go down with the current squad, but personally are main areas is CB and RM/RW after these 2 have been brought left back would be are next piorty, once we have them 3 players i would say were be fine, and to be honest how can you blame NC for transfer sagas, buttner deal maybe could of done more but if NC is a good business man/chairman he will make sure we get players in before sunday without paying stupid money, we showed signs of quality attacking play yesterday and at man city, its just making sure we finish our chances and players mistakes are reduced, Guly and Fonte made just as many if not more then Fox.

I think positives were MS for me was quality and our MOM Davis looks quality in CM and Lambo looked decent, Fonte Fox and Guly were poor with Guly playing so bad i felt sorry for him, fox if he has someone like Phillips or Gaston he will be fine. Get in Phillips and Rameriz and a CB were be fine, were only 3 players away from having a good 13/14 group of players who are prem ready, with players like shaw and JWP who have potential to be. If anyone seriously thinks Guly was good this week has no clue about football, last week for majority of the game he was ok but today other then 3/4 good things he did he was dog ****.

I personally think this game is a massive 6 pointer already if we lose this, its going to be hard to pick ourselves up vs Arsenal and Utd. Lambo needs to and will start Jay Rod should also be upfront i think 4411 is a good option with him and guly rotating the free role, as lets be honest there seems to be too much love for Guly from NA, dont get me wrong guly is a talent but i thought he was awful 2nd half last week, he for me needs to be used vs the teams that don't press you as whens hes allowed a bit of time he can really shine. We know the back 4 and keeper, but i think we need to got 4411 and switch around to 433 or 442 during the game.

Seems as so were gonna spend 20 mill between gaston and phillips, i would rather us sign Phillips and a new CB and a experienced keeper, them 3 would complete are team for this season and make it a safe mid table team on paper.

Have to say i agree with Miltonroader07 how does he start ahead of Sharp and Lambo who last season towards the end were better players, however he had a good 1st half but 2nd half specially last 20 him and JP were awful, we needed work rate once we went 2-1 up guly is a luxury player we cant afford to have vs top 7/8 teams, if we sign GR whos gonna be droped for him ? for me it will have to be Guly.

Really hope he gets some starts in league cup/fa cup games and to be honest i would give him some playing time vs city and other decent teams, were not likely to get result there so why not let them play 20 mins of a game where they need to learn how to be patient with tackles and close down class players. To develop him fully this season and turn him into a back up prem player we may need to offload hammond, or loan him to a championship team for 5/6 months.

Have mixed feelings about Dan Harding in pompey fa cup and pompey away he cost us goals, which made me hate him for weeks, however in other matches he was decent, for me he was not consistent enough to hold a place in the championship for a team looking for promotion.

Dean Richards Claus and Svensson have been the best 3 CBs in my time watching/supporting i would have one of them 3 with fonte, but to be honest at the time Richards was young and getting better and better, he would of the sort of CB we would be signing now.

I am happy having him as 5th choice good strength upfront, but i am sure he is not happy being behind Lambo Jay Rod Sharp and Lee.

This. If Lallana and Lambo prove there quality at this level i feel mid table is achievable, all other younger players need to improve as well like NC Cork MS etc.

Good the ST has made me broke, gutted the away games i wanted to go to are right at the start of the season, no way am i gonna pay the ST off until November then il have xmas, so any games on TV is a bonus when its not a league home game.

WGS brought in players he knew he could work with and could provide a decent work ethic, built around the core of the team who was Neimi Svensson Claus Oakley Beattie, all them guys when fully fit were top quality for us, and we had a ageing team under WGS, with telfer dodd marsden and need to blood through young players, i just feel if the standard in league one/div 2 was as good as it is now we could of loaned Folly and LG and given them 6 months with a top league one side.

Promotion from league one after the walsall game on the pitch never been so happy, and watching the players sing along was best moment so far under the NC/ML era.
