Terry The Builder is looking for some storage facilities now for the outgoing seats. I can see him researching potential famous bums that have possibly visited.

To be fair it was a Pompey nose dive with a couple of double backflips in the courts

What interest rate are you paying? You could invest that money and get 5.5-8% in corporate bonds. (Investment grade, provident 7.0 &7.5, Halifax 9 3/4% bg transco etc) If your interest rate was low you could have extra cash for retirement. Or you could buy shares. Or buy funds.

I was wondering if the chicken has been dispatched? Or is it a live bird?

Is homeownership as opposed to renting still a no-brainer?
tony13579 replied to Halo Stickman's topic in The Lounge
One floor in your plan is that if one of you needed a care home then you would need to have moved your investments into the others name before hand. Your home is protected. Half the ballance of joint accounts are not safe. -

If I invested £250,000 I am more than convinced I could earn more than the rent on a similar value home. And... The land lord would spall the repairs. Time for me to ring an estate agent? -
I love the way they could afford big TV screens before affording safe electrics and sprinkler systems.. So Skatesmouff....

I wonder if you could pay someone to come in and cook it for you? I'd do it £600 for 8 people Mince pies ( luxury home made) Coffee Home made carrot parsnip winter soup/prawn cocktail Home made bread rolls Turkey and all trimmings including home made pork and apple stuffing stuffing , red cabbage, roasted Mediterranean veg, parsnips tatties Home made Xmas pud Trifle Washed up + leftovers plated in the fridge. Booze not included. I did all this, gluten free, diabetic friendly, low vitamin K (warfarin friendly) Oh and Boxing Day I picked up relatives at Heathrow 06:55 and then cooked them lunch leak and potato soup. gammon + roasted veg , more trifle, and sent them back home to Manchester I work hard enough, it's about time I did it for income!

It is interesting an I respect the sales person. I am not religious however my morals would not allow me to take a job that ripped people off, sold them loans etc that were highly inflated, I would not want to sell cigarettes. you may draw the line at cleaning up poo, or spiders, fresh meat. I think people have to be allowed some reasonable adjustment within their work environment.

I love the way they are expecting an enquiry as to what happened... 100 year old ceilings occasionally let go.... They look fine, next thing they are on the floor. It may have been assisted by a leak or noise.

Leaf blowers, plus especially idiots who hire men with leaf blowers to blow the leaves from the rest home opposite, into the street at 08:00 in the morning. Never picking up a single leaf. Just blowing them around. Setting thier alarm clock to come round again and blow leaves, futile noisy waste of space.

Recommendation of hearing aid shops Shirley area
tony13579 replied to tony13579's topic in The Lounge
Well, three months later he has finally got his hearing aids. He is adjusting to them. They are already a great improvement and quite discrete. He has managed not to get run over in the mean time. I am resting my voice now! ;-) -

Really? How many people have been killed by faulty wiring? I can't remember the last story in the echo... I remember the man crushed by his van, I know two cases of OAP's running their spouses over with an automatic, 20+ suicides in the woods. Motorbikes hitting telegraph poles, man knocked off ladder whilst using a chain saw, 2 fell in a slurry pit... Not one electrocution death.

The idea that Ed Balls could be Chancellor after an election is very scary. He is as dangerous as a wrecking ball in a china shop. He has the ability to make cuts but not the ability to know where not to make cuts. He is hated by every department he has meddled with.

The police helicopter couldn't have run out of fuel???? No fire, witness reports of dust, evacuating people, non of fuel fumes , the fire service are not pumping foam on the scene in any of the pictures I've seen

Interesting, sports direct 90% in one year, 1553% in 5 years... Consistent price growth, however one of the directors has cashed in a large sum. Absolutely fits the profile of the shares I want. Slight concern that the share has grown to fast and could be over inflated? More research needed... But on my one dealing with them, good shop, well stocked, good staff.

I have to say that I can't see the point of mid sized cameras. There are fantastic compacts with huge zoom levels, incredible features and specs..... And they fit in your pocket! If you want a camera that won't fit in your pocket, you might as well get a full DSLR, two lenses a bag and a spare battery My canon is fantastic.

I have moved all the PCs I maintain (about10 friends and family) to MSE and they are all working smoothly. No problems, not intrusive. More than I can say for McAfee..... It knocked out 5 people's Internet and then there was no fix for 2-3 months, just a work-around. MSE is free, it is designed by Microsoft for their own systems. They are not a third party supplier trying to second guess how to lock in to the deepest level of windows and prevent security breaches. It is easier to design the locks if you also design the walls and doors!
