It's a shame Baj started thinking with his stomach last night started getting good in that last game in Afghan. Did anyone take over as host?
-
I don't usually play domination, but quite enjoyed it though. Not so sure about missing out on XP though

I should be on at around 7.30 - 8pm for a couple of hours. Hopefully it'll let me accept invites tonight
-
Hi, Does anyone understand full email headers etc? if so, could you pm me, I'm looking for a bit of help. Ta.
-
Just kept telling me I couldn't connect to the host
-
Sorry I didn't get there as soon as I wanted, sick dog! I tried to join the sessions that were going, but it wouldn't let me do you need to be invited? Anyway, I'll be up for a few games again sometime.
-
I'll be there shortly
-

When it opens for you the final stand death streak is good, as you can survive if you manage to crawl somewhere safe. The Painkiller deathstreak is also pretty good, especially if there's an enemy chopper or AC130 overhead. My suggestions for other perks would be (obviously pro improves things but as standards they work well for me): Perk 1 - Sleight of Hand Perk 2 - Stopping Power or Cold Blooded Perk 3 - Commando (the Pro ability to fall/jump any distance without injury is invaluable to me). Steady aim for LMG or SMG (and pro for Sniper).

The SCAR is my "standard" weapon of choice from the moment it's unlocked. I've only found the AK47 to be a better all rounder, but that's not unlocked until level 70 The M16 is very good if you are more stealthy in your style, absolutely no use if you charge around like a lunatic As VFTT says getting the perks to match your style is important. I've been messing around with mine, and I have become very sh1t again
-
I'd be up for that too!

you should play mercenary team deathmatch, I find it better than most modes. If anyone wants to add me it's Barfy74.

Killzone 2 - There is probably nothing I dislike about the game, online 16 a side is awesome. A close second is Modern Warfare 2 Honourable mention to Little Big Planet too (although released in November 08). GTA4 (was that this year?) was great, though I got bored of the single player, and couldn't get on with the multiplayer. Sadly time and money have been tight over the past 12 months so I haven't bought many other games worthy of a mention. But the next year holds the promise of a HDTV, FFXIII, Gran Tourismo etc....

The AK47 at level 70 is bloody good, though if you plan to go prestige straight away you don't get to use it much I'm still convinced sleight of hand pro is the most useful perk, closely followed by commando pro. I think I had those on nearly every set up, though if your ratio has changed that much I'll reconsider if it works as well for me
-
Totally agree! ffx is outstanding, especially when you've survived Penance I think I actually get upset at the end of it that after 150 - 200 hours of effort, there is simply nothing else to do!!!
-
Woohoo prestige

I've not played Oblivion, so couldn't say. Basically it's an epic story, lots of side quests, build up characters, fight the bad guys (not in CoD way) and save the world/universe. It's either your thing or not, personally I can't get enough of the FF games I keep meaning to restart FF8 as I swapped pcs half way through and lost my save game data

FF7 & FF10 are possibly my two all time favourite games, and FF13 was the main reason for buying the PS3 (I know it's on XBOX but I didn't a few years ago). Stevo, it's a bit more than potions and concoctions If you haven't done so already, you can download FF7 from the PSN store to play (probably £6 or £7). Should give you and idea of what final fantasy is about. Or FF10 off ebay should cost about the same! I managed 100% completion of FF10 and although no-one shared my joy, I was dead chuffed with myself Personally I will be taking large chunks of leave after the 9th March to play this until my eyes bleed

Pre-ordering available on Amazon. That is all

nah, I don't use scopes etc just the grenade launcher attachment. The sleight of hand pro perk is so much more useful to me, especially as I have a tendancy to... waste the odd bullet I'm toying with the idea of manning it up and going for the one man army set up, but I can see that going horribly wrong...

Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me?

I saw a Leibherr lorry parked up next to the local diy store on saturday. Made me smile, even though I am fully aware it's not directly linked to Markus anymore -
Lightweight pro seems to have transformed my fortunes somewhat. It allows quicker aiming after sprinting which, given my style of play, makes all the difference. My default set up is now: SCAR with grenade launcher, sleight of hand pro, lightweight pro and commando pro
-
Those last unlockable shotguns make me very dead alot too though only a few more levels and I get to play with them too they look really useful in rust! Honestly use commando pro, jumping off the top floor of the tall building in Quarry on top of an enemy player and surviving is a larf! I'd also say that cold blooded is a better perk than ninja as you can't be seen on predator type strikes or those sentry guns...
