Yes he was, he also asked Lowe to resign i believe, but politely !! Be interesting to know why, when Leon Crouch wrote a cheque for £2 million a few weeks ago, and asked Wilde and Lowe to match it so they could wipe the Barclays debt, Lowe just laughed in his face wouldnt it ? Done any fishing in Scotland lately Rupert ? Amazing what you can get with £1 million isnt it......esp when you get your mates to put in £10 million for a prime chunk of river bank ; - )

Stop criticising Adam Lallana and others!!!
beatlesaint replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
No we have the most put upon and the ones who have to suffer an almost daily soap opera as our club is run into the ground by morons. Should we be sheep and just accept everything that happens then or does the paying customer bit not give us a right or opinion ? -
He was certainly standing firm Saturday afternoon. He spent the last half hour of that match firmly rooted in the same place with his hands in his pockets and gave off the body language that spelled out CLUELESS.

Couldnt agree more. Top post. If they cant handle the pressure now what on earth will they be like when we need to win a game to avoid relegation as at the end of last season ?
-
Did anyone see the small article on Lee Holmes in Saturday's Pink ? After the usual clap trap about us not being far away and how brilliant some of our football is etc etc he ended with this corker of a quote - "the front lads have been, at times, different class. I think most teams in the Championship would swap their frontline for what we've got" !!!!!!!!! Now if he was talking about the 3 out on loan fair enough, but i suspect he isnt !!!

This feelgood factor thing only lasts for a while though. Look at **** Head at Spurs.......all his wonderous magic has started to fade in recent weeks and they are only a point off the drop !

Excellent post.

Rupert Lowe will never admit he has made a mistake with JP Rupert Lowe's mates in the boardroom and amongst the shareholders will stick by him come what may so he can experiment with his Dutch Duo until he has achieved the unthinkable....and that will be SFC in the third tier of English football for the first time in nearly 50 years. Thanks Rupert....you're a brick....or something that rhymes with brick anyway.
-
I think i can guess the answer to that one......it will equate to a big fat NO but will be dressed up with a lot of confusing half arsed Loweisms !!
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldnt see where the 2 up front were then.
-
http://saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11111 so we apparently played 2 up front for the last thirty minutes but JP saw no difference and it wouldnt matter if we played five up front !!!!! Well no Genius Jan it wouldnt have made any difference today cos we were crap BUT does that mean two up front will never happen while he is manager and the reason given will be the last half hour of todays game as the reason/excuse ? Give me strength......or a manager.....or both !
-
Well nickh i am one of the 14k hardcore who you think has been fantastic this season, so thanks for that. And because i fall into that elite grouping I'm sure you wont mind me saying that McGoldrick is f*ckin useless and possibly the worst centre forward in this league by a country mile. He plays for himself, he thinks he is a hell of a lot better than he is, he scuffs the ball instead of shooting properly, is crap in the air and does not chase back if he isnt in the mood. Why this guy was not dropped weeks ago is beyond me but after the Palace game and today he should not even be in the squad Boxing day never mind on the bloody pitch.

thats what usually happened last time he was Chairman yep ! you did get a biscuit and a coffee though.........
-
Our defending is average, and thats being generous. Our forwards are appalling. Cant defend, cant score..............sounds like a relegation haunted team to me !
-
Well if Lallana is only valued at £1.5 million and Bournemouth get 25% of that its hardly worth selling him...we might as well keep him : - )
-
I can tell you exactly why everyone is so negative - a - we play most of our decent passing football in the middle third of the pitch b - our defence is shakey to say the least c - our forwards cant hit a barn door with a banjo d - our manager, sorry coach, sticks to his one up front formation for every single game e - last year we had experienced players in each third of the pitch, this season we dont. just for starters really.
-
2 - 0 to Burnley I'm afraid......i just cant see who will score for us at the moment. When all eyes are on BWP to get the goals you know we are in trouble.
-
Well he did laugh and say it was a bit rich coming from him yeah !!
-
Matt Le Tiss said on Sky Monday night he thought Surman lacked that bit of pace to become a premiership player. I tend to agree, he is a bit slow......and he will have to learn not to chicken out of virtually every tackle like he did against Wolves. Good for us, but for the Premiership ? Cant see it myself. Still if its him or Lallana, rather than both, I would vote to keep Adam.
-
Absolutely right. In the middle third of the pitch we look great, lovely passing and plenty of movement and options. Its when we get to the attacking third or defending third it all goes tits up !
-
SSShhhhhhhhhh ! In the Lowe re-write of history book you arent supposed to mention things like that !
-
I was told a couple of weeks ago by some experts on this forum that 4-4-2 wasnt the answer when I suggested it after the Plymouth training session, sorry, game !
-
It certainly does, 100% agree............its just like watching a keep ball training session where the ball has to stay in the middle third of the pitch !
-
Coming away from St Marys on Saturday there was a group of lads talking about our striker situation and one said "if we had a premiership quality striker we would be fine". To be honest we would be fine with a Championship quality striker, that would do.......unfortunately the ones we have are out on loan and McGoldrick is not yet good enough for this division despite our Director Of Football believing he is.
