  1. Not run off into the distance because of Marc Jackson's bid/interest then ? That will upset a few on here who want to see drama at every turn. Lets hope and pray their bid is accepted, I dont think we are gonna get any better but of course like everyone else on here i dont know that, its just my opinion : - )
  2. According to the Echo website they have "exclusively" revealed to them their 5 year plan for getting Saints back to the premier league. This is the sort of blue print any prospective buyer should have if serious, they are obviously that as, despite some scare mongering from a few drama queens on here, they have not run for the hills as soon as Marc Jackson appeared. As none of us know what has been said in the meetings with the administrator (unless someone has bugged the Board Room at SMS) lets just sit tight and hope for a swift outcome.
  3. Does this thread get a prize for being most ridiculous of the week or something ? Anyone who thinks a multi-millionaire is gonna come in, pump millions into the club and watch us rise back to the Premier League in double quick time is seriously out of touch with reality. Just having a club to support with a little money to strengthen and a manager who knows this league and how to get out of it is the best we can hope for. Lets just be grateful that there are two bids on the table and that Mark Fry and co. are doing their jobs and working towards getting a buyer to keep this club alive. FFS
  4. Double shocker in that he cannot respond to my polite request for an answer to football related issues !! Oh my ; - )
  5. 19C (yes it was a bit of banter in my post yesterday btw), can you tell me, in your opinon, how Lowe cannot or should not be blamed for this season's relegation ? He sent out all 3 recognised goalscorers for the first half of the season, and guess what ? We couldnt score. We bought in inferior loan players who never made the first team with anything like regularity - Gasmi, Pekhart, Robertson, Liptak to name but 4 (2 of those were supposed centre forwards) and, instead of keeping a manager who was prepared to take a pay cut, had numerous contacts throughout the game in England and had formed a list of freebies and loan players we could have picked up (many of whom did so well at Leicester for him), he goes for a Dutch duo who knew about 4 people in England and had no contacts and no idea who to sign, so much so that a boy playing for Millwall Res against our reserves was cherry picked as the next big hope, a "world class" player. False economy 19C, getting in all those loanees who never bothered the first team sheet and all he had to do was keep 1, not all but 1 of the three main strikers and a manager who had the team fit, cos I dont know if you noticed how many games they ran out of steam in the last quarter of the match. So how can false economy and some baffling decisions not be Lowe's fault ? I will be interested to hear your opinion on that please !
  6. Oz begins thread, gives it 10 mins, then logs off without further word ! You tease ! : - )
  7. have a look at my post no. 103 above ; - )
  8. nah, he will be played out of position and lose interest.
  9. Oh indeed there are, from very reliable sources too ; - )
  10. Do you mean film exists of the incident which led to the "union" of MW and RL ?? Who's that figure in the shadows Mike ? behind you......... ; - )
  11. I thought we established there is no lowe involvement. Dont start dragging that ***** up again please.
  12. Look, whilst it is a rather simplistic view, there are two parties interested in buying, and therefore saving this club we all support - with the possible exception of 19C that is (!!!) - one has their bid in and the other, by all accounts, are rushing to put theirs together. A few weeks ago we feared we would not have a club to support or just as bad was the prospect that Lowe would try to buy it on the cheap and carry on his mad experiments ! lets all calm down, let the people who have to do their jobs get on with it and may the best bid win. None of us have crystal balls, none of us know which will turn out the best so lets not start *****ing at each other cos we all want the same thing - a bright future for Southampton FC - and if people are willing to put a lot of money in to save the club then so do they !!
  13. and so the nature of forums.....we have gone from thinking they are our knight in shining armour to possible chancers in the space of a few hours !!!! As i said before, lets just wait and see what the next few days brings. We have waited long enough for some good news, a few more days wont hurt !
  14. Thank **** for that, thats all I needed to hear : - )
  15. I assume we can breath eaiser in the knowledge that RL is nothing to do with those who have their bid in can we ? See, the more you read the more paranoid you become dont you !!
  16. I think in fairness a number of those variables could be to do with non football issues - credit crunch, state of world markets etc etc. It only says it is harder to assess and in this day and age with the credit crunch well and truly on that makes sense and has to be taken into account. A lot can happen in four years.......just look at SFC 2005 - 09 !!
  17. To be honest that should be the ambition for anyone taking over the club shouldn't it ? Promotion from League 1 within 2 seasons then a push for promotion/play-offs again within a further two ?
  18. I presume Mr Fry has given a deadline for the MLT backed lot and that the ones with the offer already on the table are aware of that, otherwise this is just a case of first ones in are the winners and surely this whole process is a lot more business like than that,,,isnt it ?
  19. It would be great if we could all sit tight, ban possible names from being posted on here in case it gets out of hand and scares someone off, and wait and see what this week brings. As somebody has mentioned already if someone who thinks they are ITK starts blurting out names and by luck or knowledge they hit the nail on the head and that has an adverse affect on this person/consortium buying the club could you live with yourself if the club goes to the wall ? I know I couldnt. Lets just practice a bit of self control for a few days eh ?
  20. Steve Cotterill anyone ?
  21. No, dont want too much attention being bought to a post that asks far more relevant questions than Lowe and his mates, inc. you it would seem, would ever have answers to. Come on then, you seem to enjoy the role of defender of all that is Rupert so how about answering some of the questions raised, cos each and every question has an answer that has led to our rapid decline.
  22. The players dont give a **** about the fans, with the exception of Kelvin and one or two others, but not many.
  23. Well at least Lowe got to see the wonderful job he did through to the end. Thanks Rupes......now **** off !!
  24. I think there are more important things happening in the league today than us ! Bet he cant wait til we come up against Hartlepool next season tho !!!
