Is he a fucking Portsmouth supporter, do you reckon? Come on Russell, you're making it a bit too obvious...
-
To be fair, we've only conceded the same as we did versus Norwich. The warning signs have been there since then.
-
Another corner. Fucking hell Like I've said, does Russell learn? Does he fuck.
-
Slashed at that. Poor.
-
I've just seen Walker-Peters marauding centrally, leaving the right of our defence completely gaping open. Watch this space (literally)...
-
Was it RM that said that? What game was that after?
-
Is Downes a DM? Haven't seen much of that if I'm honest.
-
The issue is that he doesn't seem to be 'learning' from some obvious issues. It's not even to do with the style of play, it's the players he is choosing and the players he was part of bringing in not being fully suited. If you can't learn or adapt your approach, you're fucked.
-
This is what is fucking baffling. How isn't the gaffer seeing what we all do?
-
It's enjoyable when we are in the opposition's half, for sure. Not when we piss about with it at the back, which is rather nerve-wracking. 😂
-
Done well today the chap.
-
Haven't we been saying this since the start? Madness.
-
What do you reckon about Smallbone? Can't make up my mind on him. Does he offer enough grit or creativity? Is he essentially a water carrier, popping the ball around? He's not exactly a metronome tempo setter either?
-
Up top clearly isn't the issue, is it?
-
It's like adopting long ball, cross into the box tactics for a team of midgets. Playing out from the back with clumsy, flat-footed and nervous defenders and midfielders? Not looking good gents.
-
Haha, fucking hell. Hospital pass from Smallbone, clinical from Leicester. They're so clearly on to us. High press, pick up our scraps, slot it home.
-
Good start eh chaps? 😉 I mean, if you don't laugh you'll fucking cry. Some piss poor choices.
-
The offside rule was invented to stop 'goal hanging', is that correct?
-
Makes himself look busy, for sure!
-
So, what should the club do now?

Russell Martin's footballing ideology seems stubborn and uncompromising. Will he learn? I don't know. The Swansea fans probably have a better idea. Is his brand of football just inherently brittle? It seems so easy for opposing teams to slice through us like a knife through hot butter. Norwich, Plymouth, QPR split us open. Sunderland tore us apart. Martin seems unhappy, but continues to ignore options a lot of us are suggesting, namely Charles as holding CDM; wing backs playing more as defensive fullbacks.
-
The centre of the team is still so weak. Martin's selection and tactical choices throughout the game were a bit baffling, really, and seemed to entirely miss the lack of central control we had over the game. Where's the fight and presence in the middle? I pray Swansea fans' comments about Martin's defensive tactics don't play out across the whole season. If they do, automatic promotion is a no-go. From memory, our last promotion team was exceptionally tight at the back. The worry this season is that we genuinely cannot see where the next clean sheet is coming from.

He is porous. He has a particular ability to make the goal look absolutely massive, and his wrists are made of fucking crisp packets. The bread and butter of goalkeepers is made to seem like rocket science by this young man.
-
That was a shite performance. No control at all.

A perfect shitstorm. Some terrible defending and some really poor protection from our midfield. Slopping passing at times, slow, laborious movement. Been one to forget, this one. I feel for the travelling fans.
