  1. I sit in the Chapel, and constantly sing when the Northam does. I also attempt to spur the others into singing ; "we're the Chapel over here" on reply to the Northam, whilst standing up. Don't really get embarrassed, and it leaves me with a sense of satisfaction when people around me join in, resulting in the Northam cheering, and singing back "Chapel, give us a song", which today we did too. It's pretty pleasing when that happens. Join in with the songs to help spur the team on. The constant OWTS for 15 minutes was quality, and I'd say it helped the team break the deadlock.
  2. Bournemouth fans are going to try a bit of violence I've heard. Should be funny watching them walk toward us with their zimoframes.
  3. Yep, that's how i read it too.
  4. Seems very reasonable and fair to me. Of course, it is spin, but it makes all the tabloid stories seem very OTT.
  5. Plymouth Argyle FC took pictures at the game after being told they were allowed to on the premise that they used them for their site only. Said pictures have now "leaked" to the Sun and The Herald. Trying to undermine our club... The cheek of it. Sickening. I hope Cortese teaches them not to break our rules.
  6. Alpine speaks sense. Dunno why so many automatically jump down his throat. There are very few positives about today, and as Alpine said, many saw this slow start coming. It could have been prevented.
  7. Yeh, I hate hearing his excuses. There are no excuses for not being able to score against Plymouth. If you're worried Barnard and Connolly won't do the business, you should have bought a Rickie Lambert double earlier. His tactics are non existant. The reason we did so well last year is because of our players' talent, definately not his tactics. If Cortese wanted to sack him last year, which is well documented, then he should have done it there and then. I don't see us going all the way with Pardew. He'll be off sooner or later.
  8. Pardew doesn't really inspire me at all. Never really been convinced by his tactics and team selection. Wouldn't really mind if Nicola was to fire him tomorrow...
  9. Not true. *Please be true, please be true!* Right, that's it. I'm staying up. Watch a bit of family guy whilst waiting.
  10. Don't see why so many are making such a fuss... ... Bring on the football.
  11. Tony Garrod and Ryan Dickson?
  12. We'll lose I'm afraid.
  13. Why Charlton? They're financially crippled and have sold key players like Shelvey and Bailey... Peterborough, Swindon and Plymouth will be up in the Play-Offs too.
  14. Neither Seaborne or Lambert or Schneiderlin or Lallana or Puncheon or Schneiderlin played in Saints' game against Reading yesterday. Ooooo.....
  15. We're screwed. Promotion? Dream on. Our midfield is woefully short of cover. No chance of even reaching a Play-Off position.
  16. So two players, Antonio and Waigo, leaving, and 3 players (Dickson, Butterfield and Richardson) coming in equates to us being "no where near" the depth we had last season? Ok... I agree that we need more attacking options, but let's not over-exaggerate here.
  17. Good to see a weakened team put up one hell of a fight against a top half Championship side. We seemed good until the subs were made; Pulis, Doble etc. Looks promising, especially if Pardew brings in some cover for the Wings and CM. Here's to a top 4 finish.
  18. Sorry, but Vassell? He'd be a quality signing. But it WON'T happen. Just like the Benjani 'rumour' (if you can call it that). Crazy. I'll happily eat my words if it happens though ( it won't ).
  19. Going to be confirmed somewhen before the Reading game, according to someone that's in the know on 606... So, tonight at 11:23 anyone?
  20. Some Forest fan on 606 is saying we're getting Tyson for cash plus a player... I hope that player isn't anyone we need. Pulis or Wotton hopefully!
  21. I agree we lacked creativity, but Oxlade Chamberlain looked pretty sparky today and I feel AP will be using him more. But yeah, we need some cover for Lallana and Punch, and DEFINITELY need one or maybe two Centre-Mids, as Dickson clearly didn't look comfortable at CM (no surprise really).
  22. Oh, and by the way, we were playing in our away strip, not the sash. (aimed at some sash-haters earlier in the thread)
  23. Reading all the different match reports from you lads is pretty confusing, I guess it shows how people view football so differently. According to John B, Holmes looked sharp, but to others he was consistently diving and lacked pace and desire. According to John B, Butterfield was poor; no pace and didn't look like a Championship fullback, but to others he looked like he had a bit of class about him and was pretty solid. So, so confusing for someone, like me, who wasn't at the match.
  24. The thing is, we won't get much better coming in to sit on the bench in Lambert's shadow. You can't expect us to sign a quality Lambert-esque player, because they simply wouldn't want to play second fiddle to Rickie.
  25. Sadly, you would be right in saying that. He recently failed a medical at some Portuguese team, and has his heart set on leaving Saints. Sad really, as I always thought he had potential. Realistically though, he wouldn't get a chance to displace Davis here... Good luck to him.
