  1. Would be chuffed with this appointment. One of the few on the betting lists I would be happy with (Nigel Adkins being another I'd like to see here).
  2. We all know Lallana will most probably leave in January if we aren't near the top 2, but how are you so sure that other players are going to leave too? Either your a WUM or ITKer. If what you say is true, then basically Cortese will be a hinderance to this club's progression. I don't neccessarily believe what you are saying, but reading that makes my day just that little bit more depressing.
  3. 4-4-1-1 with Barney out for Rochdale? --------------Davis-------------- Butts---Fonte---Martin---Harding Punch--Morgan--Deano--Dickson --------------Guly--------------- ------------Lambert-------------
  4. Agree with Dune. Cortese better appoint a good manager, and provide him with 100% backing without any interference, or my opinion will completely change. I supported Cortese wholeheartedly last week and previous to that, but this decision to sack Pardew (the timing of it, mostly) has caused me to side more on the anti-Cortese side. Shame really, it could have all been so different.
  5. I feel sick reading that post. ****ing Cortese. He can seriously **** right off. ****ing bellend. We're ****ing screwed with him in charge.
  6. He'd be alright. Better than Hart. He promoted Hull and kept them there, pretty good I guess...
  7. Don't think he'll renew the contract unless we get a big name manager he respects. Shame, would've at least wanted a bit of money for him....
  8. Depends who the new manager is.
  9. I would've thought so. Especially if we appoint the new manager before Saturday.
  10. Aaron won everything in the air and looked to pass forward to the midfield rather than lobbing it up to Lambert. Made a few mistakes where he got caught wrong side of their strikers, but rectified all of them with solid challenges. Didn't muck about with the ball when there were no options to pass to and he was under pressure, he headed or kicked it out. Made so many good challenges and he showed decent pace on a few ocassions getting to through balls ahead of Kuffour. Very vocal too and seemed to be developing an understanding with Fonte. Looks a very, very good prospect at his age.

  12. Don't really think we need a new CB to be honest. Martin, Seaborne and Jaidi are all good enough to partner Fonte, and Harte wouldn't be much of an improvement. Some Carlisle fans don't rate Harte defensively, apparently he isn't all that and is just a set-piece specialist.
  13. Puncheon is frustrating but it's worth keeping him on because he has the ability to create chances with ease, just not 100% at the moment. As he gets older he'll become more consistent and hopefully learn to pass quickly and nit take as many people on.
  14. Quality player. Yes please. He's not the sort of player we need right now but he is gooooood.
  15. Much improved on Otsemobor. Very clever player and makes up for lack of pace and height by being positionally superior. Got a good cross on him too. Pleased to have him, but yet to see Richardson play, and I presume he will be first choice.
  16. Nahhh, they probably need time to sort out the passport etc. before they can officially announce. Monday or Tuesday maybe?
  17. This is pretty much a certain transfer then. Much like the Dickson signing, we know about it before the official announcement. Seems to be a good player with decent experience. Now we can get playing a 4-5-1 with Do Prado, Lallana, Puncheon, Dickson and Schneiderlin in the midfield. Lallana and Puncheon more central with Do Prado on the right and Dickson on the left? All up to Pards I guess, but that formation would leave the bench looking stronger already with Hammond and Barnard there.
  18. Yep. Dunno why though, no one gave him any options so he ha to try and keep possession on his own, making him look selfish and not very good. Puncheon is a good player.
  19. Complete lack of empathy you first grade c*nt.
  20. It was probably liver failure. Very sad. A great man who had nothing but the Club's best intentions at heart. A true saint. Condolences to his family. It's strange how everything that has happened now seems so easy to explain. We will continue your dream of the march to the Premiership.
  21. Gutted and very shocked at this sad news. My condolences to his family and friends. Absolutely devastating. True Southampton legend. Love you Markus, RIP.
  22. Soooo good. I back this one all the way.
  23. Nothing. Don't see what all the big fuss is about apart from all the "toy thrown out of pram" negative press.
  24. God, can't we just go back to the good old days when we didn't have a photographer ban...
