Only reason we sold so little is the prices. I bet Pompey got in at £5 an Adult or something like that, whereas we're getting charged £16. I would've loved to have gone to see us play against two top class European teams, but sadly payday is next week.

The only tough thing will be when we sell him, trying to buy a replacement will be costly purely because clubs will increase their asking price. And also - we seemed to do alright when we didn't have Chamberlain last season, did we not? I believe we produced our best run of form without him. Most certainly not the end of the world.

Rumour is on the PNE forums that he's training with them. In fact, it's a little more concrete than rumour if you read their forum.

It was stupid to close the only thread with consistent views and comments over the summer. It was relatively interesting and the main thread on here (despite the minority that wanted it gone). It's not hard to avoid a thread if you don't agree with it, so I'm completely at a loss to see why it has been removed without a new option being available.

I'm all for the sub-forum. I've seen plenty of other club's messageboards with transfer sub-forums and it seems to work well.

Didn't Adkins say somewhere that he was looking to strengthen the "spine" of the team? I'm sure I read that on here. For that reason I expect us to announce the signing of a decent CB soon enough. Someone with a big build and bit of pace.

I think this is just another person fretting about lack of signings trying to find a reason why. Silly. Adkins has great potential, and we should give him the chance to build a good reputation and make himself a "big name". If that means we have a period of not being able to attract stupidly short-sighted players, then so be it.
