I mean, it's a pretty sensible failsafe, surely?
-
There's a lot being said that all seems very definitive and finite. Lots of conclusions. Hopefully they're seen as pessimistic come the end of the season...
-
Missed the game today due to my daughter's birthday. A good one to dodge, it seems? Why is it always Forest at home? On to the next one, eh?
-
I hope we do not regret signing Jack Clarke.

Strange choice of topic for a thread. Surely better off as a small little comment on the Transfer thread that people can easily ignore? To surmise, a silly thought - why would we regret not signing him? We have Dibling who is very similar, and more importantly is from our academy. -
But maybe those links have been dropped by Bournemouth in order to speed up the Ramsdale negotiations? 😅
-
Surely we should be loaning out a few players to Valenciennes, not just Gotzepe...?
-
I disagree. He's still very young indeed and has clear potential. I think another year of Championship football, hopefully as a starting regular, will do him the world of good.
-
I think we've been pretty sensible with our signings, rather than exciting. If it keeps the team spirit and positivity in the camp, then I'm all for it. We've had too many years of not being sensible with our transfers.
-
I'll get the miniature violin out for you, Sean. In all seriousness, Everton can fuck right off down the drain. A club that's been spending way above its due for far too long.
-
Who else's detriment would it be to? They're direct rivals in the relegation battle. Our only hope is that their Championship all-stars can't make the step up.
-
Charly Alcaraz. What a prospect. He doesn't fully fit in to our team, though. It seems like Hugo would be more likely to, and both seem to have similar levels of talent.
-
Lost track of that one - was it Brighton that are getting him now?
-
Love that they're open late. One of the first steps I've seen towards getting the area around the stadium to be more of a social draw. Bit like Wembley with all of the restaurants, bars and fan zones around it.
-
I mean, Sudocrem? Couldn't you have changed that, if you were going to change it to his missus anyway?!?!?
-
If we're worried about injury history, just wrap Biljow up in cotton wool after slathering him with Sudocrem. Job's a good'un.
-
I don't think we'll buy a striker. A winger, perhaps. A goalkeeper, hopefully!
-
Ridiculous, right? He's got little to back up such a price tag. Just look at his last few months with us.
-
Matt Targett would be a very, very strange choice. In an area of the field we have already added someone this transfer window, and besides, Matt isn't up to much. I see our areas of need as GK, MF and and perhaps another Forward.
-
Is it being flown by Russ?
-
Broja would work well in our front line if he was anything like when he played for us previously, but as you say, we wouldn't be able to afford him.
-
Reckon Brerry will bag a goal, and I'm really hoping we play in exactly the same manner we did against Newcastle. If so, I can see us picking up 3 points, which would be excellent so early in the season.
-
19 years old, plays for gent. Got 4 goal involvements last season over 26 games. Can't say I'm too sad that he's staying put...
-
So meeting Russ and Lucy would've been Lesley's first introduction to the club...
-
Sporting fans would certainly know a player, considering some of the top talents they've had in their ranks.
