  1. Perhaps they should move this game to fatpipes ground as those fans are used to having cup finals and would appreciate it more than normal Bolton or Reading fans who would be overcome by the emotion.
  2. Yawn, who honestly really gives a stuff as she produces yet another hanger-on.
  3. Isn't Blackburn owned by the Venky family and doesn't one of the sisters or wife of someone have a lot of say ?
  4. At my old age I have finally realised that there is no point in worrying about something you have no way whatsoever to influence. No-one on here can influence whether NC etc stays or goes so why worry ? I am 100% sure that the sun will still rise in the morning and set in the evening, your families and pets will still love you as they do now, your job and most of your lifestyle won't be affected ( unless you use the excuse of "going to the football" to have an affair ) so just carry on as normal. Finally IF NC does leave I am confident some other very wealthy people will jump at the chance of taking over from him, remember Saints are a PL club not a minor L1 club. However IF they don't so what? Re-read what I have written above. "Keep calm and carry on"
  5. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25722694 Another fantastic footballer has gone R.I.P. Mr Collins 82 years old. It also makes me realise how elderly I am becoming as I remember him playing.
  6. Decided I couldn't be bothered watching the English get hammered yet again so am watching Pakistan vs Sri Lanka being played in Dubai. Tense game so far. I have also been watching an Australian 20/20 competition sponsored by a fast food chain and most of those matches have been very entertaining, perhaps the "Melbourne Stars" team could play for England
  7. Who is that old woman then ? Not Bear surely ??
  8. Perhaps M.P.'s pensions should be re-classed as a "benefit" then in years to come it could be reduced rather than just keeping constantly being increased? Yeah I can see that happening
  9. "Should be an Institute for Professional Victims somewhere. Probably in Liverpool at a guess." Come to NZ, there are quite a few "victims" from "crimes" in the 1800's, quite an industry over here.
  10. ^^^^^ Pleased for the young lady as asthma is a real bas*ard at any age. ( I know you will understand but some on here might not ) Another really nasty one is C.O.P.D. so everyone Don't start smoking or give it up Now!
  11. Not for much longer if the Tories steal their bus passes Oh yes and the O.A.P. is NOT a benefit it is however an Entitlement as the O.A.P.s have paid into it over many years.
  12. So I wonder what the Govt. needs the money for that they are going to save by stopping fuel allowance and bus passes for O.A.P.s if they get re-elected in 2015. I know - another pay rise for them and civil servants
  13. A few nights ago on ESPNFC they all took the refs side and felt Saints should just shut up and forget it.
  14. Don't worry chaps as the ones who got England into the mess are the ones to get them out of it. I am fed up with this attitude they have already had plenty of time to sort it and they have failed miserably. If they can't get so called highly professional players to improve they should resign IMHO. Of course some will now just ask "well who do you think can do any better ?" My answer is I don't know as I no longer follow the UK cricket scene like I used to years ago - but someone must be able to put names forward surely ? England coach Andy Flower has vowed to continue in the job despite his side's 5-0 Ashes whitewash in Australia. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/cricket/25617773 Well all I can say is that they are very lucky a certain P.L. CEO isn't in charge of UK cricket
  15. That the only destroyer available to protect the UK from those nasty Russians has broken down ? Maybe it wasn't fully armed after all and some systems don't work correctly anyway ?
  16. Well set to score 448 to win and are 87 - 3 at tea. First time Australia have been all out in a second innings this series - wow Oh dear now 90 - 5 ALL OUT 166 so that's 5 - 0 then
  17. England, Are you pompey in disguise ????? Australia will have to bat again , well for a couple of hours or so  If you don't laugh you would top yourself.
  18. How do you know that Gotham City is in Scotland? Can't see it on Google Earth. ;)
  19. Fans love the trips to Wembley and the glory of winning, I suspect most chairmen prefer the bigger cheque for finishing higher in the league. Guess who "controls" or if you prefer "makes suggestions" to the manager? Wonder what the players who are rested think, do they have any of the same Cup magic feelings that fans have ( had ) or are they like the chairmen and don't really want to be bothered too much?
  20. A long but interesting article about the Brazilian navy http://www.thinkdefence.co.uk/2013/12/look-brazilian-navy/ I am sure that John I Thorneycrofts in Woolston built some ships for them in the middle of the last century ? .
  21. Seriously DON'T come to NZ the Tax people are bringing in a new law that will mean any private pension lump sum will be taxed to the hilt as well as the actual pension. They are also making it back dated until the year 2000!!!!

  23. The day I post even 30% of the rubbish you post will be the day I am taken away in a strait jacket
  24. OUCH !!!! Dubai, where property prices have surged more than 40 percent this year, will allow landlords to increase rents at a faster pace as economic growth in the emirate accelerates. Under the decree, issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, landlords can raise rents by 20 percent if contracts are 40 percent or more below average prices, as measured by a government index. Previous guidelines allowed for increases of as much as 20 percent for rents that were 55 percent or more below market value. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-12-22/dubai-to-allow-rent-jumps-of-as-much-as-20-.html
  25. Oh dear looks like the US security lot will keep a very close eye on you lot if you go to the US  When that film came out, the FBI labelled it as subversive - a vessel for communist propaganda. During the Red Scare after World War II, FBI informants claimed the film's portrayal of wealthy banker Mr Potter as a greedy villain was a sure sign of communist influence. Recently-published FBI documents also reveal that investigators had their eye on 'It's a Wonderful Life' and screenwriters Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich, a husband and wife duo who were accused of associating with known communists. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2528752/Was-Its-Wonderful-Life-really-communist-propaganda-FBI-investigated-classic-Christmas-film.html
