  1. Buckingham Palace could become the centre of a police investigation after a man reportedly claimed he had been groomed for sex by a "pedophile ring" there in the 1970s. The unnamed man, then aged 16, became the victim of a high-profile ring of abusers including MPs, British media has reported. The alleged abuse occurred while he was working in the palace kitchens. The matter was previously raised soon after the alleged abuse occurred, when the boy's mother wrote to late MP Geoffrey Dickens asking for his assistance. Mr Dickens raised the matter with the Home Secretary but was told it would not be "practical" to investigate at the time. http://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/world/teen-victimised-by-buckingham-palace-abuse-ring/ar-BBg9UBF
  2. Wonder if that airline demanded to be paid in advance ?
  3. Bearsy I thought that you had died ? Anyway if women want to play football I say let them and show them on TV. It's a bit better than lots of cooking shows and shows about renovating and re-selling houses.Oh yes and a lot better than big brother and any show with that Cowell lot.
  4. Former passengers, employees and enthusiasts of the iconic QE2 ocean liner have contacted Arabian Business to voice concern that the legendary ship has been left to “rot away”, after new photos appeared online in recent weeks of the ship still docked in Dubai's Port Rashid. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/qe2-fans-voice-outrage-as-new-images-show-iconic-ship-left-to-rot-in-obscurity-in-dubai-port-572407.html
  5. In regard to managing not to pay Tax. Well have a read and weep at this. Wonder how the Tories on this board can justify this ??? Quote:- "To us, it's an obscure shift of tax law. To the City, it's the heist of the century In David Cameron we have a leader whose job is to quietly legitimise a semi-criminal, money-laundering economy." http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2011/feb/07/tax-city-heist-of-century "And this government? It has learned the lesson that Thatcher never grasped. If you want to turn this country into another Mexico, where the ruling elite wallows in unimaginable, state-facilitated wealth while the rest can go to hell, you don't declare war on society, you don't lambast single mothers or refuse to apologise for Bloody Sunday. You assuage, reassure, conciliate, emote. Then you shaft us".
  6. Err sorry but I think he was incorrect as "you're" is short for "you are" so in the context of his sentence "your" is the correct word to use.
  7. Wasn't it about 9 years ago that Liverpool last won the European Cup or Champions League or whatever it was called way back then ?
  8. Sorry but I just can't seem to understand how "winning all the time" and "tedious" can be used about Saints in the same sentence. The only time it it might slightly apply to Saints would be in say 30 years time if Saints won every game until then and I am still not 100% convinced even then.
  9. I tried to download that app for my android device and it says my device is incompatible. Surely that app should work where ever I am in the world ? I am pretty sure that my device should be compatible as I have only had it 3 weeks. I have the ordinary BBC Sport app so would that cause a conflict and do I have to uninstall it ?
  10. pap How do you know that your daughters don't have another load of clothes like that which they keep at a friends house ? Girls can be quite sneaky
  11. Can't see anything wrong with that, love does strange things to people even that lot.
  12. The other day I saw a picture of Kate and boy has she aged. It is obvious she has something on her mind that is causing her great anguish but whether it's guilt because they left the kiddies, worried sick because they don't know what has really happened to Maddie or guilt because they are totally responsible I wouldn't like to even make a guess at now. Whatever the real cause is though after all those years I now have sympathy for them as they are still going through hell.
  13. Anyone with a "Flash-Light" App might like to watch this video.
  14. Hang around aircraft restorers and you’ll inevitably hear tales of priceless historical relics hidden in barns, buried in shrink wrap, or otherwise stuck in time awaiting discovery. These stories are almost always wild exaggerations or outright fiction. But if you’ve ever heard of the cache of iconic warbirds at Wilson Connell “Connie” Edwards’ west Texas ranch, it’s absolutely real. The irascible former movie pilot who made a fortune in the oil business has added to his vast inventory of mostly World War II-era fighters, seaplanes, and surplus parts for more than a half century. Now, he’s decided to sell many of them—but only on his own nonnegotiable terms. Watch the video at the very end. http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2014/August/Pilot/f_talltale .
  15. The head of a major international airlines has criticised the Australian-led mission to find Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, saying he believes the aircraft was always under control and may not be in the southern Indian Ocean. Emirates Airline head Tim Clark has thrown doubt on the official line that the aircraft, which had 239 people on board when it disappeared in March, flew south on autopilot for five hours until it ran out of fuel and plummeted into the water. "MH370 was, in my opinion, under control, probably until the very end," Mr Clark said in an interview with with German magazine Der Spiegel. "Our experience tells us that in water incidents, where the aircraft has gone down, there is always something. We have not seen a single thing that suggests categorically that this aircraft is where they say it is, apart from this so-called electronic satellite "handshake," which I question as well." http://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/world/mh370-emirates-airlines-head-tim-clark-says-missing-plane-was-under-control-probably-until-the-very-end/ar-BB8CVDD .
  16. The green flag is at the station AFTER the incident, which is per protocol - they had not yet deployed the safety car (single standing yellow + SC board all around the track) and were handling the Sutil car under a local yellow, following standard protocol. The station upstream is showing waved double-yellow (per FIA standard) as is correct.
  17. A brave but miniscule amount compared with the number of Muslims in the rest of the world. These men will be thought of and treated as traitors just like the Russians etc who helped the Germans in WW2 were. Personal attacks show that you haven't a coherent argument.
  18. The original bass player for Jethro Tull has died. British-born Glenn Cornick 67 was with the group from its founding in 1967, until 1970. He died of congestive heart failure at his home in Hawaii. https://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/24858145/jethro-tull-bass-player-dies/
  19. They should also buy one for their trip home as well.
  20. Alas dreams don't usually turn into reality ( well certainly mine never have. )
  21. I look forward to the day when moderate Muslims throughout the world, including of course Muslim countries, hold wide spread demonstrations against these so called minority extremists. That will be the day that I can start to really believe that ordinary Muslims disagree with the extremists. Do I think that day will be in my lifetime ? Not an effing chance.
  22. Well this is really punishing Rosberg extremely hard  " Championship leader Rosberg accepted responsibility for the collision, calling it an "error of judgement". The team handed out an undisclosed punishment to Rosberg, likely to be a fine, while agreeing to let them continue racing for the world title. They have been warned another similar incident "will not be tolerated". http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/formula1/28984082 Perhaps this should be in the jokes thread rather than the F1 thread
  23. The Army’s Advanced Hypersonic Weapon program had a successful test launch out of Hawaii in November 2011, covering 2,500 miles in about 30 minutes. The plan calls for the weapon to move at speeds of 3,600 mph. http://www.defensenews.com/article/20140825/DEFREG02/308250004/US-Army-s-Hypersonic-Missile-Fails-During-Test
