Police Make Heartbreaking Discovery Next To White Man Gunned Down By Black Teens Man out for a walk with his dog last week was gunned down by three Black teens. And when police found the man’s body, they made a heartbreaking find right next to it. As NBC Philadelphia reported, the three black teens got “bored” playing basketball and decided to go rob someone. After seeing one man with a large dog, and deciding not to rob him, they then saw 51-year-old James Patrick Stuhlman walking his terrier. Stuhlman typically walked his dog with his 13-year-old daughter. But on the night of his murder, March 12, he had told her to stay home because it was getting dark out, which very likely saved her life. As he walked down the street, Stuhlman, who owned a local landscaping company, saw three teens approach him. Then they grabbed and robbed him, and shot him once in the leg. They could have just taken his money and ran at that point. But they did not. “At one point, he did plead for his life,” Captain James Clark said Thursday at a news conference, according to the New York Daily News. “He said, ‘Please don’t shoot me, please don’t shoot me,’ and they still shot him one more time.” That second shot took his life. So “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” really did happen — not in Ferguson — but in a Black-on-White capital murder in Philadelphia. So can we expect Barack Obama and Eric Holder to demand a civil right investigation? Don’t bet on it. Police have arrested 15-year-old Brandon Smith. They also arrested a 14-year-old whose name has been withheld — because he is supposedly a “child.”. They said they decided to rob Stuhlman because his dog was smaller than their intended first target. The shooter who gunned down this father in cold blood, 15-year old Tyfine Hamilton, is “still at large”. Philadelphia police consider him “armed and dangerous.” Smith has been charged in relation to the murder and is still in custody. But the unnamed teen was inexplicably just charged with robbery despite being an accessory to murder. Police are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Hamilton. Typically, the teens have all been in trouble with the law in the past. It is stunning at what early age vicious murderers are now made. 15? Unbelievable. Capt. Clark warned Hamilton at a press conference: “Get with your parent and turn yourself in before we come and get you…We know where you are.” Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker said that when police arrived at the scene Stuhlman was laying in a pool of blood and was already unresponsive. The family man still had his flashlight in his hand. But what police found next to him was heartbreaking. His dog was pawing him, sniffing at his face, and whimpering. “The dog was lying next to him — appeared to be scared and in shock,” Walker said. “His daughter goes for a walk with him almost every night,” Clark said. “For whatever reason, he said to her, ‘it’s a little late tonight I don’t want you walking with me.’ So in effect, he may have saved his daughter’s life.” Thank God he did, but that is small consolation for the young girl who is now without a father, and will forever fear walking at dusk, thanks to the savage brutality these young monsters inflicted on her own dad. Stuhlman was shot over nothing, police said, as not one item was taken from him. http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/3rd-Teen-Sought-in-Dog-Walker-Murder-Taken-Into-Custody-296993191.html .

http://www.nasa.gov/press/2015/march/new-desktop-application-has-potential-to-increase-asteroid-detection-now-available/#.VQXuuUI-DFw A software application based on an algorithm created by a NASA challenge has the potential to increase the number of new asteroid discoveries by amateur astronomers. Analysis of images taken of our solar system’s main belt asteroids between Mars and Jupiter using the algorithm showed a 15 percent increase in positive identification of new asteroids. During a panel Sunday at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, NASA representatives discussed how citizen scientists have made a difference in asteroid hunting. They also announced the release of a desktop software application developed by NASA in partnership with Planetary Resources, Inc., of Redmond, Washington. The application is based on an Asteroid Data Hunter-derived algorithm that analyzes images for potential asteroids. It’s a tool that can be used by amateur astronomers and citizen scientists. The Asteroid Data Hunter challenge was part of NASA’s Asteroid Grand Challenge. The data hunter contest series, which was conducted in partnership with Planetary Resources under a Space Act Agreement, was announced at the 2014 South by Southwest Festival and concluded in December. The series offered a total of $55,000 in awards for participants to develop significantly improved algorithms to identify asteroids in images captured by ground-based telescopes. The winning solutions of each piece of the contest combined to create an application using the best algorithm that increased the detection sensitivity, minimized the number of false positives, ignored imperfections in the data, and ran effectively on all computer systems. “The Asteroid Grand Challenge is seeking non-traditional partnerships to bring the citizen science and space enthusiast community into NASA’s work,” said Jason Kessler, program executive for NASA’s Asteroid Grand Challenge. “The Asteroid Data Hunter challenge has been successful beyond our hopes, creating something that makes a tangible difference to asteroid hunting astronomers and highlights the possibility for more people to play a role in protecting our planet.” The new asteroid hunting application can be downloaded at: http://topcoder.com/asteroids For information about NASA’s Asteroid Grand Challenge, visit: http://www.nasa.gov/asteroidinitiative

I wonder what happened to that bloke from Abu Dhabi in the end, the one who was playing chess in Russia. I also wonder IF Balram ever got any money back and if he suffered repercussions from others who might have lent him money?

Thank you for posting that video I found it very interesting especially as I am an even older person than Sir Terry. I also have to confess that until now I had no knowledge of him.

The way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if that in ten-fifteen years time Saints fans at St Mary's will only be allowed to quietly say "Come along Southampton please play a bit better". By then I suspect that all shouting will have been banned. That of course depends on fans even still being allowed at matches in case they offend anyone. Just a thought but how much longer will the wearing of Club colours be allowed? Seeing thousands of others wearing different colours to the much smaller number of away fans might be looked on as being very intimidating and threatening to said away fans and therefore be against the away fans human rights.

England footballer 'arrested over underage sex allegations'

Getting back to the alleged loaded firearm in his house, when I had a U.K. firearm licence one of the conditions was that ammunition must be kept in a separate room to the firearm. Keeping a loaded firearm would have resulted in losing the firearm licence. You would also be open to being taken to Court and if found guilty you would be fined and ISTR a prison term was also a possibility. Mr J could be in serious strife. -
I watched the whole game live ( it was during the day here ). However I am now beginning to be a bit concerned about how England will do against Australia in the "Ashes" later this year. I know that it won't be exactly the same players but as I understand it management/selectors will still be the same. Someone please cheer me up by telling me that I am wrong.

Gone off because of rain, I assume that if the game is abandoned before 20 overs then all of the new records by W.I. and Gale/Samuels will not count ????

Just for your information in the U.K. as at the moment N.Z. don't have Internet censorship. Anyway, I was sent the following e-mail from a reliable source make of it what you will. Quote:- "The email told us about how Chris -- who uses Sky as his Internet service provider -- tried to visit BeatTheSpeedTrap.co.uk. Here's the message: I just went through a mobile camera and tried to log on to your site when I got home. It appears it is blocked as you are classed as “Drugs or Criminal Skills”. I attach a screen snip for your information. For Sky users they have to go into Shield and specifically allow “beatthespeedtrap.co.uk” to gain access. Apart from being completely ridiculous... it made me think. Do we really live in a country where the Internet is censored to this degree? And then I thought about the zero tolerance hidden speed cameras we've been talking about recently. And I thought... Are we ( in the U.K. ) headed towards a totalitarianism regime? I never talk about politics in the BTST Newsletter because 1) I haven't really got the time to be all that interested or well versed in it and; 2) it's a sure fire way to fall out with people you otherwise get on very well with! But it does seem that the Government who introduced the "Freedom Bill" and vowed to "End the war on motorists" may be turning their back on us..."

The way the U.K. defence forces have been allowed to be almost reduced to nothing is IMHO criminal. If such an enormous amount of money hadn't been borrowed and then given to other countries the U.K. might have been able to keep a much better defence force. None of the services can have all of their meager existing equipment fully able for use so how on earth could Cameron spout the carp he did the other day. Totally clueless.

Former English football executive Peter Storrie has been charged with turning the Central Coast Mariners into a "break-even club" amid a shake up at the A-League franchise. The ex-West Ham and Portsmouth executive, who had previously been used by the Mariners as a consultant, was on Thursday appointed the club's executive vice chairman in an effort to turn around the cash-strapped side's lagging fortunes. http://www.msn.com/en-nz/sport/football/mariners-appoint-ex-english-football-executive/ar-BBhJWVN

Beggars Out In Force in Southampton....
Saint in Paradise replied to beatlesaint's topic in The Lounge
A couple of questions for all of those who give money to beggars, how do you know that they aren't reasonably well off people just conning you ? How do you know that they don't drive away or get collected by someone else in a newish car when you have all departed ? Not exactly unknown is it. -
I hope you are not including that "premier league striker" that the lot down the M27 acquired and who is now serving a 7 match suspension ??? Dear oh dear give the lad a chance and think how you would have been like under his circumstances over the last year when you were only 18.

Does Southampton have a sex offender problem?
Saint in Paradise replied to pap's topic in The Lounge
Shame that some personal animosities have taken over the discussion of a serious question. I wonder if this would have been the case if someone like, say, Steve Grant had started the thread? -
I really can't see the F.L. doing that to Q.P.R. even more so since that previous bloke left. ( Can't remember his name but remember he stuck to the rules )

So at the limit of 70 MPH they will turn a blind eye to 15MPH over ( approx 24KPH ) ? Well if anyone visits NZ don't exceed the 100KPH limit by more than 4KPH ( approx 2.5 MPH ) or you will get a speeding ticket. Also please note:- I posted earlier about plans to put "stealth" average speed cameras on the M42 and M6 that will have a zero tolerance to speeding... It seems the story is getting worse. It's now been reported that the Highways Agency are also planning to install the cameras on six stretches of Smart Motorway over the next two years, including on the: M1, M4, M5 and M23. Oh yes and don't forget the M25, where they are already in operation. It seems that the "War on the Motorist" is coming back in full force... All the best,

Must be a slow news day then as this sort of thing has been happening for decades.

Well as last year they tried their utmost to stop any 49er fans getting tickets so that they would only have their own "fans" in the stadium I hope the Patriots hammer them. Mind you I don't like them very much either but I dislike them a bit less than the Seattle lot.

You lot are all wimps Don't come to NZ as we have up to 20,000 a year. Of these people only notice about 150 - 200 of them as the rest are only known about because they show up on instruments.
