Maybe the club think that they should be charitable as it's Christmas and as a person he is much better than as a coach? Maybe they think that they don't want to totally ruin his chances of gaining another club next year because of that? Maybe they think that if they ran him down it would make it a touch more difficult to persuade a new man to join if they thought that in the future if things didn't work out they would be "thrown under the bus". Maybe MP realized that he wasn't quite the person he needed to get his ideas through to the players? Finally, you don't have to be nasty when you ask someone to leave your employment and not just in case they get even nastier than you were and start telling "stories" which will only end in tears for both sides. Talking of being nasty I would like to say sorry to Verbal for my comment about him the other day. It was uncalled for and I should have kept my mouth shut.

Alas Gemmel you are wasting your time as "people" ( notice how polite I am being when I really don't want to be ? ) like Verbal are too dim, stupid and downright thick to understand any comments which explode their moronic views. Mr Adkins is actually the only recent manager that I felt really sorry for when he got kicked out. Mr Pardew a bit less so but as for M.P. and R.K. well they were somewhat "don't let the door hit you on your way out".

Hopefully, although I doubt it will happen, the Saints owners will now take a very, very close look at a certain Mr Reed's performance over the last couple of years. Perhaps a review of Mr Krueger would also be a good idea as well? .

I vote for several others, not just him, to be "let go" as well. Now for just a couple of random questions/thoughts from stupid old me. If you were in a well paid cushy job and nearing retirement age would you resign just because a small group on a fans website said you should? ( I wouldn't ) What do you think that he is telling the owners as to the reasons for Saints very poor performances? ( I have no idea ) Does anyone think that the owners actually care about this whole situation? ( I am not that convinced that they do any more as their public silence is deafening) If you owned a poorly performing business would you act now or wait until it was past the stage of being too late? ( I acted fast in the past in a business I owned )

I sometimes wonder what the extremely quiet Mr Gao the new owner really thinks about this whole situation and does he even care that much? Is he just drifting along and/or allowing the Board as well as L Reed to hoodwink him by telling him the situation isn't as bad as the "bedwetting" (NOT my description I hasten to add but one used by the happy clappers) fans keep saying it is? The Echo also seems to have a fair few moaners on there. In fact I have a bit of a suspicion that one poster on the Echo site could even be a close relative of L Reed as he, justasaintsfan, always stoutly defends him whenever people moan. I also wonder if Mr Gao is even actually aware of the complaints seeing as St Marys always appears pretty full on TV and as far as I can tell from reading on here he doesn't bother to attend matches. No one in their right mind really wants to lose a lot of money, especially very rich folk, and the £200 million he paid is a lot of money. Although as some might point out that he could sell the best players, take the first year parachute payment and then put the Club on the market at a cheap knockdown price so that he wouldn't lose all £200 million, he might still make a small profit. IF he did that there would probably be a major meltdown on here the like of which we haven't seen for a very long time. Perhaps a certain Mr Lowe might reappear ? Now that would be fun

I must admit that I am a little surprised that the Chinese gentleman who now owns Saints has not stepped in and sacked, then replaced several of the staff already. Surely by now he can realise that he is "losing face" with the fans here and also in China ( I am sure there are some ) and that is a massive insult to any Asian businessmen. Also as money is the key to any businessmans heart he is risking loosing a lot of money if/when Saints get relegated. I very much doubt that he has only bought Saints to use as a Tax loss but the longer he allows this whole situation to proceed I will start to wonder if he is as good a businessman as he thought that he was. Of course none of my personal money is involved, just his own to do as he wants.

Looking for a manager with a reputation of getting promotion from the Championship would be a good start. I don't like saying this as I think Saints will just about stay up but as we all know Football is a funny game and their safety is not a given.

To give a rather different stance on this subject perhaps it's the betwetter fans on here who are the major cause rather than the players or management? I mean if you constantly read that you are rubbish then after a time deep in your subconscious you start to believe it and so in the end it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.

I got the impression from several posters on here that the problem was the manager fault by not using his head enough. I, and those posters stand corrected then as It's really because its the players not using their heads enough.

In the years before substitutes were thought of if a goalkeeper got injured they sometimes swapped position with an outfield player. Also in the past some players have permanently changed positions during their career. So how about trying FF as a striker then as he surely can't be as bad as some on here think Saints normal strikers are?

Big snag to that is that the match is not actually played in the dressing room but on something called a pitch. Also any player can be good once or twice a season but Saints need players who are good/excellent at least 90% of the time. ( Sorry )
