  1. Yeah, they could all contract yellow monkey fever disease once their AN experience has ended :-)
  2. With the arse going out could we have an outside chance of being the first third tier team to win the cup?
  3. I had one of the Ladbrokes special bets today. Saints to win 2-1 and pompey to lose 2-1. £10 gave a return of over £800. I've got one question. Who the fook are pompey?
  4. I thought that we did a very, very proffesional job today and without 6 certain, IMO, starters when playing a league game. *We were never in trouble even in the 5 additional minutes. *What a fantastic club we are building because that is what the owner is trying to develope (from top to bottom) I think? Mills was a revalation (he's not a midfielder though) and will give Harding some competition. *The back four were so impressive today it gives me a warm feeling that they will be the perfect cover for injurys or loss of form. I sit in the Itchen centre and the Northam and Itchen North were really noisey :-)
  5. I was very worried when the team was announced as it was a bold and brave decision to have three out of four of your defenders playing together for the fist time. *I needn't have worried as they were very solid and it wouldn't surprise me if they don't dominate team selection for a long time to come. *I wasn't sure how their goal came about but if it's a slip up in your first game playing together then I'm not overly worried. The Hammond injury worries me more as he really makes us tick IMO. *I hope it was just a knock and he was taken off as a precaution. The only player who didn't step up to the mark imo today was Lallana but I thought that he was asked to do a more challenging role for the team today so not his fault. According to the stats we had 52% of the possesion and more shots on target. *Not bad for a team playing away at one of the stronger teams in the league. Listening to some fans in the 'cage' after the game you'd have thought that the world is going to end. *I still think we have a chance to make the play-off's but, more importantly, AP is making sure that we hit the ground running next season instead of the nightmare we had this season where we had no pre-season and a ten point deduction (and still look how far we've come, brilliant). Anyway, I'm happy with things tonight even if others aren't.
  6. Have you seen any of Ward's 4 performances for CCFC this season in order to draw this conclusion? It sounds like any name is in the frame to some fans even if they're no good. He doesn't play for CCFC for a good reason you know.
  7. Funny that. I have been speaking to a couple of Exeter fans who think Seabourne is a class act. As has been said by someone earlier, Seabourne is the MUCH better option than Ward (imo too). With money available people seem to want signings whoever they may be (and Ward did not seem an AP type of signing to me) but I'd prefer just to wait and sign the RIGHT player when available. Just a right back needed now.
  8. Brilliant business sense IMO. I've noticed this a lot with the NC/AP potential signings where a smokescreen signing is lined up in order to force the preferred option players team (Exeter's) hand. I did not feel right about Ward anyway not being a first choice for Coventry plus Seabourne ticks ALL the boxes for me.
  9. Follie at Chelsea under Wigley.
  10. Thanks for taking the time RonManager. Just a pedantic note (sorry); why do we sing 'YELLOWS' when the shirt is predominantly blue? Of course it wouldn't sound correct ('BLUES') but it just doesn't sound right singing yellows either. This has probably been discussed many times but I just don't get the time to keep up :-(
  11. What colour are we playing in (and where do you usually find such information as it's not on the OS) as my daughter wants to wear her shirt (on top of a very thick jumper ;-))?
  12. As of this morning, add three more to the total :-) That's three of the kids xmas presents sorted. They don't even like football ;-)
  13. Burley for the skates :-)))))))))
  14. Just on the way back and a very useful three points (kin 'ell has it started to rain or what?). Anyway, Hartlepool were never in it on the basis of chances but neither we we tbh. To me a thoroughly proffesional performance, a very much deserved win, and that'll do me. :-))))))
  15. I've only missed one game this season and that, for sure, was the most convincing performance of the lot. Lovely :-). Hammond is a star.
  16. What a lot of sh!te people spout on here. A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. I was in the KA having a quiet beer when about 12-15, yes 12-15, very drunk and abusive Yeovil fans started causing trouble. When they were confronted they got violent throwing chairs and glasses and it was the Saints fans who had to defend themselves. I don't agree with what went on outside afterwards but people should know that the Yeovil fans weren't blameless.
