Unless you pull off a great PR trick like Paddy Power.

Yep, now confirmed, Southampton FC have completed the signing of Liverpool's next CB. Sounds promising, possibly covering CB and a defensive midfield role. Decent window.
-
But only if he comes with a guarantee that we can send him back once he breaks down with an injury by the end of August. But it would be great to get the old Victor back!

Not if the club chose the third party and not UA
-
The fact that the shirt is on sale in Europe but without the logo may suggest that's how the shirts are supplied from UA. And, as has already been officially mentioned, the dispute is with a 'third party' so could mean they are responsible for adding the logo and something’s gone wrong there. That then probably means UA are not the problem, that scenario would also rule out any reason to do with the sponsor being dodgy. As the shirts have already arrived in Europe kind of suggests this 'third party' is probably Europe or UK based and an ongoing battle is now going on as to responsibility for any problem. Someone else mentioned there was also a cock-up with the sponsors logo last year too. Or they may just have decided the shirt is sh*te and ditched the lot!

(1) Where will we finish in the league? 11th (2) Which round we will reach in the Mickey Mouse Cup? Quarters (3) Which round in the FA cup? 5th (4) Leading Goalscorer? Che Adams (5) Our player of the season? Hoj (if not Adams) (6) Which player will surprise you most? Vestergaard (7) How do you think our great neighbors will get on down the M27? Fail to finish the season due to further irregularities and corruption from the past being uncovered

The OS now showing Block 17 as available so make that around 250 left for Burnley (if that's the last of the allocation)!
-
The club went to great expense producing the SAYNTS video to launch it, SAYNTA might have been more appropriate if they're here in time for Christmas. It will be interesting to see how many will be wearing it at the first few games with the cheap replicas currently on sale out there.
-
As of today, 70 tickets left for Burnley (2,280) 20 left for Brighton (3,000), last day for ST Holders, looks like it won't make members.

About 2% stronger than the beer served in the San Siro.

Ralph will be going out to Macau so maybe last chance for one or two fringe players to impress? I believe he said he wanted deals done early this summer to get as much of a full pre-season as possible for potential line-ups, struggling to move players on is hampering that a bit.

It would look better if they removed 'Paddy Power' and replaced it with 'Miss Huddersfield'

Charlie Austin - Sold to West Brom - 4M

I wouldn't think he'll be expecting £60kpw with any new club next summer, he probably wouldn't expect it now, that's why he'll likely stay put. He's no regular PL striker now, he'd probably struggle for a full season in the Championship. In another yesar without playing he'll do well to secure any kind of playing contract. -

I'd agree with that and say we've had decent value for the £4m he cost plus wages. Now the transfers of maybe Elynoussi and Hoedt and particularly Carrillo and the extension to an already lucrative contract for Forster could do with closer inspection. Everything about those last 2 just don't add up. -
I like Crouchy (choose to ignore his association with down the road) but when we signed him I thought someone had really lost the plot. Up until then he had just looked a gangly error-prone giant and the previous season he played at St Mary's with Villa and had an absolute shocker. What had anyone seen to part with a few £million for his services? What did we know, turned out a very good player for us and we more than doubled our money selling him on.

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche

Funnily enough, just reading about worst ever signings and Lew Chatterley immediately came to mind for me too, as you say, totally out of his depth. Best remembered as a good loyal coach in later years. -
I believe players start drifting back in next week, also contracts start/finish July 1st so maybe a bit more movement in the transfer market from next week.
-
Maybe he's not, he's a coach, could be just a role change?

fan? She must be one of their carers.

That feeling from coming back from a lost cause is as good as it gets on match days, we've had a few as mentioned (seems more throwing it away!) but one less significant one I remember was 2-down at home to Villa, must have been early 80s, but the crowd just got louder and louder as we pushed forward. What sticks in my memory was the raw gut-wrenching roar as we attacked (something you just don't seem to get anymore sadly) that was fantastic from all 4 sides of the Dell and drove us back into the game and to 2-2.
-
We took over Selhurst Park and stayed up with a 2 goal victory. Fantastic day. Where did that 20 years go?
-
Sad to hear. Condolences to family and friends.
-
A bit off-piste but that 77/78 promotion season holds great memories, particularly the last half dozen games when we were taking 10,000+ away each time. And to come just 2 years after the cup final, it was a great time to be a fan. The Sunday homecoming around the streets of Shirley Warren were pretty lively and memorable. As close as we could get to the city centre.

This needs a bump. Nothing but respect and admiration for the fella. A True Mush.

They've got the firepower to cause us problems but I'd say we're playing OK enough now to see them off. Don't know if he's been starting for them but interesting to see how Clyne's getting on. Guess we could see a couple of ex-Saints if Boruc gets the nod in goal, think Surman's out injured?
